Destiny's Love Episode 30 Recap
> Destiny's Love Recap
Wen Suxi notices a cut on Chi Yu's hand and questions his whereabouts the previous night. Chi Yu claims he was with Hua Yecheng and tells her that everything is over. However, Wen Suxi is deeply troubled, unable to dismiss what has happened, especially with You You lying in a coma. She tearfully expresses, "If it's possible, I would rather it's me who's lying there."
Lin Haoshu had previously mentioned that You You left home to find Wen Suxi and Tang Mao before the accident, but Wen Suxi has no recollection of this. She insists on confronting Tang Mao for answers, but Chi Yu stops her, stating that Tang Mao has left and will no longer appear in her life. Wen Suxi presses him on how he knows this, to which Chi Yu vaguely replies that he has seen Tang Mao.
Chi Yu had, in fact, learned from Hua Yecheng that Tang Mao was planning to flee abroad the following day to live a carefree life and would not interact with Wen Suxi again for the foreseeable future. Wen Suxi remains perplexed about why Tang Mao would suddenly leave. Later, Hua Yecheng visits You You in the hospital.
As he observes her, he muses about fate and the unpredictable nature of life, questioning if her current state could be considered a form of luck. When he encounters Wen Suxi, he realizes Chi Yu is absent and immediately senses that something is amiss. His suspicions are confirmed as Chi Yu has gone to Tang Mao's house, determined to seek revenge on Wen Suxi's behalf. Chi Yu confronts Tang Mao, ordering him to stay away from Wen Suxi.
As their argument escalates into a physical struggle, Wen Suxi unexpectedly arrives at the door. To prevent her from witnessing the scene and to avoid exposure, Hua Yecheng swiftly uses his supernatural abilities to teleport both Chi Yu and Tang Mao away. Tang Mao regains consciousness in his car, believing his recent ordeal to be a mere dream. He immediately calls Jiang Yu, instructing him to book a flight for "tonight" instead of the next morning.
Meanwhile, Hua Yecheng brings Chi Yu to the temple where Fang and Shancai reside. Chi Yu is furious, demanding to know why Hua Yecheng interfered. Hua Yecheng reminds Chi Yu that his body is rapidly weakening, with his five senses now almost entirely like those of a mortal.
He warns that if Chi Yu were to kill Tang Mao using his powers, he would completely deplete his energy and die, leaving no one to protect Wen Suxi from her impending third disaster. Chi Yu accuses Hua Yecheng of knowing all along, having reviewed everyone's star maps, including You You's, Lin Haoshu's, Cai Shumeng's, and Tang Mao's, and being aware that Tang Mao was the cause of this disaster.
Hua Yecheng admits to seeing the star maps but clarifies that his role is only to assist Chi Yu with minor issues, not to intervene in major life events like Wen Suxi's. He explains that he is already helping by managing the repercussions of Chi Yu's energy transfers and asks why he should risk his own life and powers, reminding Chi Yu of the consequences of interfering with destiny.
Fang and Shancai also implore Chi Yu to listen to Hua Yecheng, emphasizing the dire consequences a destiny master would face for taking a life and the futility of undoing Hua Yecheng's efforts. Hua Yecheng reassures Chi Yu that the star map for the third disaster is still unclear, as it constantly changes after each tribulation, and he promises to consult the curator for more information, reiterating that his help comes with conditions that Chi Yu will eventually understand.
Chi Yu calms down, finally comprehending Hua Yecheng's position, and they reconcile. Duo La calls Wen Suxi to arrange a meeting. Before she can leave, Ping summons Duo La to her office to discuss the renewal of her contract, which is nearing its expiration. Ping highlights Duo La's successful career under her management. However, Duo La, who has already moved out of the spacious villa provided by the company, firmly states her intention to terminate her contract.
She yearns to live an authentic life, free from the demanding constraints of the entertainment industry, and even declares her intention to become "an elegant fat lady." Ping is enraged by Duo La's decision and her defiant attitude, but finds herself powerless to change her mind. Duo La's assistant, Shu Dunhang, who was known as Natie, also decides to leave the company to embrace his true identity, asking to be called Jiang Siya from now on.
When Duo La eventually meets Wen Suxi, she clarifies her past relationship with Chi Yu, admitting that he only used her to make Wen Suxi jealous. Wen Suxi expresses understanding for Duo La's past decision to sign with Ping, and Duo La gives her a belated phone charm, symbolizing their renewed friendship.
Duo La then encourages Wen Suxi to release her sample movie soon, suggesting that Duo La's current popularity could help with promotion, and adds that You You would not want her to give up. Chi Yu remains steadfast in his determination to ensure Tang Mao faces justice. He creates a terrifying illusion, making Tang Mao believe he is tied in the middle of a busy highway tunnel, with cars speeding towards him.
Under this extreme duress, Chi Yu presses him for answers about the hard drive. Terrified, Tang Mao confesses his crimes, admitting that the hard drive contains evidence of his money laundering and stock market manipulation, and that he was responsible for Cai Shumeng's death, which he claims was an accidental outcome to cover up his illicit activities. The powerful illusion orchestrated by Chi Yu proves effective.
Tang Mao abruptly finds himself in a police interrogation room, disoriented and confused, insisting that he was just tied in a tunnel. The police show him a recording of his own confession, made while he was under Chi Yu's spell. Tang Mao's earlier admissions regarding money laundering, stock manipulation, and Cai Shumeng's death are now official.
A news report later confirms that film producer Tang Mao has turned himself in for multiple crimes, including market manipulation, money laundering, and leaking film copies, and has been arrested, along with his accomplice Jiang Yu. Renowned entrepreneur Pang Shuo was also arrested for suspected illegal market manipulation. Wen Suxi visits Tang Mao at the police station, desperately seeking answers. However, Tang Mao is in a severely disturbed mental state, agitated and incoherent, unable to explain what truly transpired.
He rants about Chi Yu and repeatedly tells Wen Suxi not to visit him again. Back home, Lin Haoshu diligently cares for Wen Suxi, preparing food and offering support. Wen Suxi, however, retreats into her room, grappling with fragmented memories. She questions past events, recalling snippets of conversations with Chi Yu, including his promise to protect her, and feels a familiar ache in her heart. She wonders about the true nature of their relationship.
Later, when Lin Haoshu encounters Wang Xiaomi, Wang Xiaomi anxiously inquires about Tang Mao's fate and Wen Suxi's well-being, mentioning that Wen Suxi hasn't eaten for two days. She then inadvertently reveals that Chi Yu, as a destiny writer, should have a way to help Wen Suxi through her current misfortunes, sparking Lin Haoshu's suspicion that Wang Xiaomi possesses knowledge beyond what she lets on.
