Wen Suxi and Tang Mao were out for a stroll, enjoying ice cream. Wen Suxi mentioned her intention to meet with a director, and Tang Mao promptly suggested one, arranging a dinner meeting for them at eight that evening. Just then, Chi Yu called Wen Suxi, urging her to come home.
Wen Suxi excused herself, telling Tang Mao that she now only wanted to focus solely on her career and suggested they remain just friends for the time being, to which Tang Mao reminded her of their dinner. After Wen Suxi left, Tang Mao angrily threw his ice cream into a trash can. Back at his company, he lashed out at his subordinates and instructed his assistant to cancel the evening’s appointment with Director Zhao.
From the balcony, Lin Haoshu, Chi Yu, and Hua Yecheng watched Wen Suxi drive back. Hua Yecheng immediately rushed downstairs to greet her. Chi Yu introduced Hua Yecheng as his relative, and Hua Yecheng further clarified he was his "aunt's sister-in-law's son." Hua Yecheng invited Wen Suxi and You to dinner. However, he and Chi Yu sat quietly on the side because, as aliens, they could not partake in human food.
During dinner, You subtly took photos of Hua Yecheng, which earned her a teasing remark from Lin Haoshu. After dinner, Wen Suxi received a text message from Tang Mao reminding her of their eight o’clock meeting, and she prepared to go. Chi Yu noticed her hesitation and suggested she didn't have to go if she didn't want to.
Wen Suxi denied this, attributing her delay to forgetting her car keys and questioning Chi Yu’s sudden concern for her and Tang Mao. Chi Yu explained that he cared because of a woman. Wen Suxi asked who this woman was, and Chi Yu clarified it wasn't her. He simply advised her not to go if she truly didn't want to and to return home early. Observing their interaction from afar, Lin Haoshu approached Chi Yu for a heart-to-heart talk.
Lin Haoshu confessed that he had witnessed Chi Yu's deep concern for Wen Suxi, adding that he felt Tang Mao was not suitable for her. He believed Wen Suxi was truly happy only when she was with Chi Yu. Therefore, he implored Chi Yu to prevent Tang Mao from pursuing Wen Suxi and to take good care of her, stressing that she needed a true home and someone to care for her.
Wen Suxi arrived at the hotel where Tang Mao had prepared a grand surprise: a public marriage proposal. As Wen Suxi hesitated, Chi Yu appeared, declaring that he came to take her away, and tried to pull her out of the venue. Wen Suxi paused, then turned to Tang Mao, apologizing and confessing that she did not love him. She explained that their past relationship might have been merely a habitual dependence, and she couldn't lie to herself or him.
After her heartfelt apology, Chi Yu whisked her away. Outside, Wen Suxi questioned Chi Yu about his presence. Chi Yu stated that he came because he cared about her feelings, about people misunderstanding her, about her hurting herself for opportunities, and about her pretending to be happy in front of others but blaming herself when she slept at night. He declared he cared for her so much that he didn't even know who he was.
Wen Suxi asked why, and Chi Yu responded, "Because of a woman." Wen Suxi, recalling Chi Yu's earlier words about a woman he liked, deduced that she was merely a substitute, asking why he didn’t just go to that woman if they had so much in common. Before Chi Yu could explain, Wen Suxi interrupted, saying she was tired and wanted to go home. Chi Yu offered to drive her, suggesting they go somewhere to buy something.
Meanwhile, a distraught Tang Mao went to a bar to drink. Cai Shumeng soon joined him, deliberately provoking him with details of his public rejection at Jasmine Garden, which had already gone viral online. She offered her sympathy and unwavering support, but Tang Mao, visibly angry, turned and left. Upon returning home, Tang Mao stared furiously at the engagement ring, his disappointment turning into resentment towards Wen Suxi.
Chi Yu stopped the car to buy roast ginkgo nuts for Wen Suxi, hoping to cheer her up. While he was away, Wen Suxi excitedly played a claw machine, successfully retrieving many dolls until only a witch doll remained. Chi Yu returned and explained that such dolls were historically associated with ancient witch doctors. Wen Suxi, amused, insisted on getting it, joking that she was a witch who would use it to curse him.
Chi Yu playfully used his powers to prevent her from grabbing it, then skillfully won the doll himself. Delighted, Wen Suxi rewarded him with a ginkgo nut, which he ate. To her shock, Chi Yu immediately collapsed, explaining that he was allergic to ginkgo nuts and needed to rest, before passing out. Wen Suxi managed to get Chi Yu back to his home, where he remained unconscious.
The following morning, Lin Haoshu discovered Chi Yu with pink makeup and two pigtails, a prank Wen Suxi had pulled during his slumber. Lin Haoshu found it amusing, teasing Chi Yu about his "hobby." When Chi Yu woke up and saw his reflection, he was initially furious, realizing Wen Suxi was responsible, but then an indulgent smile crept onto his face.
Meanwhile, Ping calmly reviewed Duola's contract with Wen Suxi, revealing that she had already given up on Duola and was cultivating a new talent named Jiahan. Ping introduced Jiahan to Duola and explained her plan to manufacture a scandal between Jiahan and Hu Dongkai. She instructed Duola to keep her distance from Hu Dongkai in public. Duola, understanding the implications, left the office. Unaware of these machinations, Hu Dongkai soon saw news of his "breakup" with Duola and was enraged.
He abandoned the bewildered Jiahan to confront Ping. Later, Wen Suxi encountered Chi Yu at a supermarket. Feeling guilty, she attempted to hide from him but was quickly discovered. As she watched him buy water, she muttered to herself about his "poor health" and his continued insistence on being an alien.
