Wen Suxi saw Tang Mao off at her door, apologizing that her place was a mess and promising to invite him back once it was cleaned up. As they spoke, Chi Yu and Lin Haoshu listened in from the balcony of the house across the street. Chi Yu's perception was weakening from frequent use of the Celestial Pen, making the overheard conversation sporadic, further complicated by Lin Haoshu's playful disruptions.
Tang Mao mentioned his suspicion about Chi Yu buying the house across from Wen Suxi's, believing Chi Yu did it to get closer to her. Wen Suxi dismissed it, but Tang Mao worried that with her moving back to her own house and Chi Yu helping her, she might no longer need him. He urged her to be careful on the road. Chi Yu's perception indeed was getting weaker.
Chi Yu also saw Tang Mao suddenly embrace Wen Suxi, which made him feel unpleasant. Lin Haoshu, from across the street, playfully commented that he himself would feel superfluous just looking at Tang Mao, and then added that Chi Yu was also superfluous. Later, Cai Shumeng went to Tang Mao's office to discuss work.
Tang Mao was preoccupied with a text message he received, which, according to his assistant, was sent from near the hospital around the time he met Chi Yu there. He was annoyed by Cai Shumeng's interruption. Cai Shumeng, seeing his irritation, guessed it was due to Wen Suxi and mentioned she heard Wen Suxi had signed Chi Yu. Tang Mao, unable to tolerate it, left.
That night, Wen Suxi peeked from behind her curtains at Chi Yu's window, catching him in the act of changing clothes. She quickly recoiled, feeling shy, and almost got discovered. She recalled her psychologist's words, who told her that Chi Yu "often appears in your life" but "is not your boyfriend." The psychologist suggested Wen Suxi was "tempted," "attracted to the lad," and "starting unrequited love."
Wen Suxi adamantly denied these feelings, attributing her strange dreams to exhaustion and pleading with God not to send them anymore. Chi Yu, watching her, wondered if she felt a heartbeat when she saw him. Chi Yu and Lin Haoshu had earlier discussed how to help Wen Suxi. Chi Yu, referencing the idiom "one wrong move affects the whole body," warned about messing with the "circulation of energy," stating that Miss Wen would ultimately suffer.
Lin Haoshu, however, assured Chi Yu that he knew exactly how to help her, pledging his "best" and "all efforts" to go "wherever she needs me." Chi Yu clarified that she only needed him to write a "good script." Lin Haoshu then pondered the task of writing a script. The next morning, Wen Suxi prepared to leave for an investment meeting.
Chi Yu offered to accompany her, but she declined, stating she could handle it herself and did not want him to make it more difficult. He then expressed concern for her recovering foot, advising her not to drink alcohol or eat seafood. She assured him she would be careful and quickly left, despite his repeated offers for a ride. Meanwhile, Cai Shumeng, Tang Mao, and Mr. Ren were in a meeting.
Cai Shumeng proposed a collaboration with a Japanese company on a major IP drama, requiring a business trip to Japan. She invited Tang Mao to join her. Tang Mao initially seemed reluctant, but Mr. Ren endorsed the trip, stressing the project's importance and noting that Tang Mao had no other pressing matters. Tang Mao then agreed to go. At an interest class, Lin Haoshu noticed Wang Xiaomi's absence again. As her teacher, he called her, scolding her for skipping classes.
Wang Xiaomi, conflicted about whether to meet him, resorted to flipping a coin. The coin indicated she should go. When they met, she confronted him for not fulfilling his promise to treat her to a meal. She then confessed her feelings for him, asserting that her love for him was her own business, and he had no right to reject it, only to pretend not to know so she could continue to see him.
Lin Haoshu, visibly tired, explained he had been up late sorting manga materials, trying to figure out how to adapt his manga, "Next Stop: Unknown," into a script for Wen Suxi. Wang Xiaomi was thrilled by the news and promised to rally her entire school to watch the movie when it's released. Lin Haoshu then advised her on preparing for art college, which led to a minor disagreement as she insisted on learning only from him.
She worried that if he started writing scripts, he would no longer teach at the training class and she wouldn't know where to find him. To commemorate the exciting news, they took a selfie together. Later, Wen Suxi called Tang Mao. He informed her of his last-minute work trip to Japan. She updated him on her upcoming investment meeting with Zhou Da, mentioning Zhou Da's previous interest in collaborating with her.
Tang Mao wished her well and asked her to call if anything happened. He then mused about her work ethic despite just being discharged from the hospital. Wen Suxi arrived at Zhou Da's office to discuss investment. Zhou Da welcomed her warmly, remarking on her new company and her need for funds.
He quickly diverted from business, suggesting they not talk about work immediately, and then produced an outfit he claimed to have bought for his goddaughter, asking Wen Suxi to try it on for size. He implied that the industry was tough for a young woman like her, and she might need money. Wen Suxi, sensing his ulterior motives, tried to leave, but the office door was locked. As she panicked, the door suddenly opened.
She rushed out, narrowly avoiding Zhou Da in the elevator. Just as Zhou Da was searching for her, Chi Yu appeared. He comforted Wen Suxi, assuring her, "Don't be afraid. I will always be at your side. I will no longer make you feel wronged. You won't get hurt anymore." He then made her experience seem like a dream, placing her back in her car.
Afterward, Chi Yu confronted Zhou Da, warning him, "If one has integrity, everything will be accomplished; if one lacks integrity, everything will be ruined." He advised Zhou Da to stop his actions, citing that just one wrong choice can lead to a different ending for his entire life, and how disturbing the "circulation of energy" would ultimately cause Miss Wen to suffer.
Zhou Da, initially dismissive, became terrified as Chi Yu demonstrated his powers by shattering Zhou Da's phone, warning him that if he harbored "the slightest malicious intention with Wen Suxi," he would "end like this phone." Wen Suxi woke up in her car, feeling tired and disoriented, unsure if her encounter with Zhou Da had been real or just a dream. She wondered what was happening to her lately.
Soon after, Zhou Da called Cai Shumeng, telling her not to involve him again as he "can't mess with both of you" and confirmed he hadn't given Wen Suxi any money. It was then revealed that everything was arranged by Cai Shumeng. Cai Shumeng appeared unconcerned, dismissing it as "home matters." Upon returning home, Wen Suxi was met by Chi Yu. He offered her chocolate, explaining a movie he watched suggested it could uplift one's mood.
She remained in a bad mood but he gently encouraged her to eat it before it melted. As Wen Suxi drifted back to sleep, Chi Yu entered her dream again, taking her to a past memory of his with Ji Wan. Wen Suxi watched a scene unfold where Ji Wan asked Chi Yu if he would return from a war, "King Zhao is sending armed forces to suppress Chu and Han. Are you really going?"
He responded that it was "His Majesty's order" and he "has to go," hoping she would still be there when he returned. Ji Wan then pledged that like "a dandelion will drift off to the end of the world with the wind," she would follow him upon his return.
Moved by their romantic exchange, Wen Suxi, acting as a bystander in the dream, urged the dream-Chi Yu to chase after Ji Wan, lamenting that he hadn't embraced and kissed her in such a "perfect scene." Chi Yu, seeing Wen Suxi's excitement, began to lean closer to her, causing her to ask what he was doing. Thinking she was still in her own dream, Wen Suxi decided not to be passive.
She changed the scene to her living room sofa and playfully leaned in to tease Chi Yu by touching her forehead to his. Suddenly, Chi Yu had a premonition that Miss Wen would be in danger, visualizing a woman falling into water. Just then, You You and Lin Haoshu unexpectedly walked into the living room, startling Wen Suxi, who realized this was not a dream after all. Lin Haoshu asked what she was doing and how he got in.
Wen Suxi was embarrassed, realizing it was real, and mumbled about him having a spare key, then awkwardly retreated into her room as Lin Haoshu questioned what was wrong with her.
