Xu Zhi and Chen Luzhou went to watch the fireworks together. Xu Zhi asked how he scored so well and if he would have kept it from her if she hadn’t come to the recording and found out. Chen Luzhou said that’s just how he scored. As the fireworks started, the others came to watch but realized Xu Zhi and Chen Luzhou were missing. Li Ke joked that they were probably discussing quantum mechanics.
Chen Luzhou had been carrying around the alcohol he once saved for Xu Zhi. When Xu Zhi tried to take it, she nearly fell. She and Chen Luzhou were very close, and both were excited. Xu Zhi almost kissed him, but Chen Luzhou said it was raining and pulled back a bit. On the way back in a cab, Chen Luzhou wanted to message Xu Zhi to ask if she got home safely but hesitated and didn’t send it.
Zhu Yangqi asked Chen Luzhou what his relationship with Xu Zhi was and how into her he really was. He wondered why, with so many girls liking Chen Luzhou, he liked Xu Zhi—what made her different? Chen Luzhou asked if Zhu Yangqi remembered their first gathering, saying he had liked Xu Zhi since then. For Chen Luzhou, who had been lonely for so long, he just wanted a unique, exclusive kind of love.
While Chen Luzhou and Zhu Yangqi were playing basketball, a dispute broke out with some others. They didn’t intend to fight, but when Zhu Yangqi accidentally dropped his basketball, the others took it as a provocation, and a fight started. Afterward, they went to see an ophthalmologist, who turned out to be Cai Yingying’s father. He said Zhu Yangqi’s eyes were fine—just a small injury on his eyelid that could be treated in surgery.
Chen Luzhou joked that if Zhu Yangqi waited any longer, it would’ve healed on its own. Xu Zhi’s father went to talk to Cai Yingying. He said that didn’t Cai Yingying’s father once say if anyone liked his daughter, he should be brought in for an eye exam? That boy just now was the one. He even showed Cai Yingying’s father a photo of Cai Yingying and Zhu Yangqi from her social media.
Cai Yingying’s father said it was impossible—it was just kids goofing around. Back home, Xu Zhi’s father showed her a coastal travel guide, but Xu Zhi said she didn’t want to travel and asked for a new computer instead. Xu Zhi’s father reminded her she had written a list of ten things to do after graduation in her room, and that this plan was something he and Cai Yingying’s father had come up with.
Xu Zhi called Cai Yingying, who got very excited and said the swimsuit she bought could finally be put to use. Xu Zhi agreed to go. Cai Yingying’s father called her over and asked why she had hidden her social media from him when they usually shared everything. Cai Yingying said it depended on his behavior. He then asked if she wanted to retake the exam for art school because of some boy.
Cai Yingying denied it, saying it was her own decision—she just wanted to get into a top-tier art college. Xu Zhi and Cai Yingying went to the seaside and both agreed vacation was the way to go. Xu Zhi saw that a beloved director’s film was being re-released but hadn’t managed to get tickets. Cai Yingying then revealed she had won two tickets in a lottery and already redeemed them, planning to watch it with Xu Zhi.
When they arrived, Xu Zhi saw Chen Luzhou. Cai Yingying made up an excuse and left. Xu Zhi called Chen Luzhou over. It turned out to be Chen Luzhou’s arrangement. Xu Zhi thought it was lame and wanted to leave. Chen Luzhou asked if being in a relationship was any better. Xu Zhi said no and told him he couldn’t handle it. Chen Luzhou asked if she just wanted to play around and warned her not to regret it. Xu Zhi replied that she wouldn’t—she’d happily see him off at the airport.
