Gu Jiaxin came to Zhao Jiangyue's home to help her cook. Zhao Jiangyue insisted on helping him tie his apron and told him to make it delicious. Unexpectedly, the curry chicken rice Gu Jiaxin made according to the recipe tasted quite good. Zhao Jiangyue reached out to wipe a grain of rice from his mouth, making Gu Jiaxin feel his heart skip a beat. Zheng Duoxi leaned on Qi Heng's shoulder.

The two, who had been apart for so many years and were finally back together, felt that everything now was too good to be true. Recalling their school days, Qi Heng hadn't even thrown away his old phone from back then, just because it contained messages Zheng Duoxi had sent him. Zheng Duoxi also confessed that on the yearbook page she hadn't been able to give him back then, she had already written down her liking for Qi Heng.

Xu Ningyuan came to visit Zhao Jiangyue. While the two were chatting politely, Gu Jiaxin arrived at Zhao Jiangyue's home with groceries. Seeing the attentive Xu Ningyuan, Gu Jiaxin deliberately revealed to him how much he knew about and took care of Zhao Jiangyue. Qian Jingjing thanked him for his understanding and suggested inviting him out for a meal another day to express her gratitude. Out of politeness, Zhao Jiangyue was about to see Xu Ningyuan downstairs. Gu Jiaxin used an excuse to follow closely behind, insisting on taking the elevator together, and deliberately stood between them.

Feeling rejected by Zhao Jiangyue, he went back by himself but kept calling her every few minutes with excuses, telling her to come back quickly. Although Zhao Jiangyue outwardly didn't believe it, she brought the cactus to the office. In her heart, she was also wondering if this new romance would be with Xu Ningyuan or Gu Jiaxin. After falling in love, Zheng Duoxi prepared to invite Zhao Jiangyue and Qian Jingjing for a girls' gathering.

Regarding the secret to love, both Zheng Duoxi and Qian Jingjing advised Zhao Jiangyue that a good relationship can't be achieved just by waiting. Regarding what Qian Jingjing said about how a man shows he likes you, Zhao Jiangyue secretly cross-referenced it with Gu Jiaxin in her mind. His instant replies to messages and jealous expressions were already deeply ingrained in her heart.

Listening to colleagues gossip about the increasingly harmonious relationship between Gu Jiaxin and Zhao Jiangyue, the displeased Li Yanran threatened him by exposing his identity if he didn't have dinner with her. Zhao Jiangyue watched the two leave together, hid her emotions, and braved the heavy rain to return to her residential complex. As luck would have it, she not only encountered an elevator breakdown but also lost her key, and her phone battery was about to die.

Looking at Xu Ningyuan's phone number, she still didn't dial it. Limping downstairs in high heels, she ran into Gu Jiaxin who was returning. The helpless Zhao Jiangyue had no choice but to go to Gu Jiaxin's home to rest temporarily. Looking at Zhao Jiangyue in a shirt after showering, Gu Jiaxin quickly averted his gaze. But when he reached out to help Zhao Jiangyue treat her sprained ankle, an ambiguous atmosphere still lingered between the two.
