Su Zaizai downplayed her contribution, attributing Zhang Lurang's progress to his intelligence. Mr. Lin offered to help her with math questions, also suggesting she could ask Zhang Lurang for help.
Back in the classroom, Su Zaizai told Jiang Jia that she couldn't walk home with her that evening because she was going to tutor Zhang Lurang again. Jiang Jia noticed how happy Su Zaizai was. When she jokingly suggested cooking a fish, a child believed her, so she reassured them. Zhang Lurang spontaneously told her she was "very cute." Su Zaizai discussed the "Cinderella" play's ending with Zhang Lurang, expressing her dissatisfaction with Cinderella's perceived submissiveness and questioning why a "common" girl couldn't be worthy of a prince. Zhang Lurang suggested, "Perhaps, every girl can become a princess in front of the one she loves."
