To save Su Zaizai's phone, Jiang Jia quickly declared she had private snacks and surrendered a hidden chocolate bar from under her mattress. Meanwhile, Gu Ran was caught attempting to hide his game player from an instructor. He tried to bargain for more play time by comparing different flavors of chips to game duration, but the instructor demanded he hand it over immediately. A visibly scared Gu Ran suggested Zhang Lurang get a flashlight, and when Zhang Lurang told him to go himself, Gu Ran bravely set off, only to get accidentally locked inside the equipment room. Fortunately, Jiang Jia heard his cries for help. After some playful negotiation where Gu Ran promised her "one favor," she valiantly crashed against the door, breaking it open and causing them both to tumble to the ground. While waiting, Su Zaizai encountered Zhang Lurang.
She awkwardly attempted small talk and offered to protect him, but he playfully spooked her by pointing out a harmless leaf behind her, leaving her flustered. She then took the opportunity to apologize for mistaking him for Gu Ran and for calling him a "fool." Zhang Lurang nonchalantly admitted that he had returned the insult in the rain.
