Su Zaizai's mother then joined them, inquiring about New Year purchases. Su Zaizai immediately requested a new pair of shoes, arguing that a "new look in the new year" would be auspicious. Her mother agreed, and Su Zaizai then nudged her father, who seized the opportunity to request a new belt.
Despite her exasperation, her mother also agreed to buy one for him. Later, while messaging Zhang Lurang, Su Zaizai complained about being treated like household labor, having to clean all the glass in the house. In contrast, Zhang Lurang shared that his parents preferred him to focus solely on his studies, preventing him from helping with chores.

Later, while watching fireworks with Su Zaizai, Zhang Lurang admitted that he hadn't experienced them much before. Hearing this, Su Zaizai cheekily asked if this meant that from now on, he would think of her every time he saw fireworks.
