He Qiaoyan awkwardly recorded a video to document his entry, explaining that the high temperature reading was a malfunction of the smart band, and then closed the bathroom door, accidentally locking Qin Yiyue inside. She struggled to get out, even breaking the lock in the process. Upon exiting, she collapsed, fainting into his arms. He prepared her medicine, observing she seemed less capable of self-care than even Poppet. While still disoriented, Qin Yiyue mistook He Qiaoyan for "trotters" and kissed him. He Qiaoyan spent the entire night caring for her, with Poppet joining them, and also thoroughly cleaned her apartment, including fixing the broken door lock. The next morning, Qin Yiyue awoke to a pristine apartment, wondering if she had been "reborn."
He Qiaoyan, calmly preparing breakfast, explained that he and Poppet had cared for her throughout the night. Recalling her hazy actions and the sudden cleanliness of her home, Qin Yiyue questioned how He Qiaoyan had entered. He revealed he deduced her apartment code from her past comments about her June birthday. Qin Yiyue was astonished by his memory of such a detail, but He Qiaoyan brushed it off, claiming he kept track of his "potential partners."
Qin Yiyue then asked if he had changed her clothes, which he readily admitted. He proceeded to give an unsolicited and detailed critique of her physique, estimating her height, noting her "five-five" body proportion, and stating her actual weight was 3. 5 kg more than her resume claimed. An embarrassed and angry Qin Yiyue confronted him, but Poppet's timely appearance diffused the tension.

Their first activity was an escape room, chosen by Wen Gu to create shared crises and intimacy. However, He Qiaoyan swiftly solved all the puzzles in just ten minutes, much to the disappointment of Poppet and the staff. Next, they visited a "Thriller Room," but Qin Yiyue's aggressive reactions, chasing and hitting the ghost-costumed staff, caused them to quit, again disrupting Wen Gu's elaborate plan. As a final attempt, Wen Gu and Poppet executed their "final plan" in a forest.
He Qiaoyan's work call was cut short when Qin Yiyue confiscated his phone for "parent-child time." He Qiaoyan then went to the car to retrieve a coat for Poppet, leaving him with Qin Yiyue. When he returned, Poppet was gone, having disappeared with Wen Gu as part of their plan. He and Qin Yiyue frantically searched, calling his name. Qin Yiyue spotted Poppet's hat floating in a lake and, believing he was in danger, impulsively rushed into the water.
He Qiaoyan quickly pulled her out, assuring her that Poppet was safe, having received a photo from Wen Gu confirming Poppet was with him. Upon returning to their car, they discovered it was gone, along with Poppet and Wen Gu, who had left behind only camping gear. He Qiaoyan realized Wen Gu's prank, noting Poppet even stole his spare key. With He Qiaoyan's phone water-damaged and Qin Yiyue's dead, they were forced to camp overnight in the wilderness.
Inside the tent, He Qiaoyan helped warm Qin Yiyue's hands and suggested she change her wet clothes to prevent her cold from worsening, promising not to peek. Later, Qin Yiyue prepared instant noodles, and despite He Qiaoyan's initial disdain for such "artificial seasoning," he eventually shared the bowl with her. They discussed the day's events. He Qiaoyan gently chided her for recklessly jumping into the lake.
Qin Yiyue explained that as a pediatrician, she felt a responsibility for Poppet, especially since he trusted her and wanted her as his "Mommy." She expressed her guilt over losing him and the immense, often unseen, pressure pediatricians face, finding joy and accomplishment in helping children. They then turned their backs to each other and went to sleep. Upon returning home, Qin Yiyue's friend, Ruoxi, confronted her about her whereabouts and her relationship with He Qiaoyan, having heard gossip about him leaving their apartment that morning. Ruoxi then informed Qin Yiyue that Zhou Ziyang never actually received the award he was supposed to, and that He Qiaoyan had publicly revoked it at the ceremony, confirming Qin Yiyue's earlier suspicions. Qin Yiyue realized that He Qiaoyan had remembered her words and acted on them. Later, at the hospital, Zhou Ziyang attempted to speak with Qin Yiyue, but she firmly established boundaries, stating she had nothing to discuss with an "ex" or a "stranger."
She also warned him not to let his current girlfriend, Qing, threaten her job. Qing then appeared, inviting Qin Yiyue to a celebration banquet for the new hospital building, where her father would announce Zhou Ziyang's promotion to Chief Physician. Qin Yiyue accepted the invitation, much to her friend's frustration over having to buy a new dress for such an occasion.
Qin Yiyue's friend, however, insisted it was an opportunity to show Zhou Ziyang what he lost, reminding Qin Yiyue about her past sacrifices—giving up a study abroad opportunity for him and her surgical career due to a hand injury sustained while saving a child in a car crash. Qin Yiyue defended her choice to become a children's psychologist, finding fulfillment in it. At the ceremony, Qin Yiyue, stunning in a black gown, outshone many.
Qing, however, attempted to humiliate her by pointing out the clothing tag still on her dress. Qin Yiyue deftly countered, asking Qing to dispose of the "garbage" since she "likes re-using garbage." As He Qiaoyan arrived with Poppet, Qing publicly insinuated a scandalous relationship between Qin Yiyue and He Qiaoyan, intending to embarrass Qin Yiyue and mock Zhou Ziyang. However, He Qiaoyan took the stage and, to everyone's shock, clarified that the online rumors were false.
He stated he didn't want to date Qin Yiyue; he only wanted her to stop rejecting his marriage proposal. He then produced a ring, slid it onto her finger, and kissed her, leaving the audience stunned.
