Qin Yiyue, He Qiaoyan, and Poppet were happily playing basketball together. During their game, Poppet playfully clung to Qin Yiyue's leg. Qin Yiyue, attempting a back shot, accidentally hit He Qiaoyan with the ball, sending him to the ground. As he lay there, He Qiaoyan had a vivid vision of his elder brother, who joked about his poor basketball skills, expressed how much he missed him, and apologized for leaving Poppet in his care.
His brother thanked He Qiaoyan for raising Poppet, acknowledging him as the child's true father, and wished they could play basketball again in the next life. Coming out of the vision, He Qiaoyan called out for his brother. Qin Yiyue, concerned, rushed to his side, and He Qiaoyan revealed he had seen his brother, who wished them all to be well.
Poppet then sweetly declared that he wanted to be with "Dad, Mom, and Poppet forever," a sentiment He Qiaoyan echoed, "forever together." Meanwhile, Lin Wei, having been cast out by her family for pursuing her design dreams, sought refuge at Ning Fang's home. He kindly offered her a place to stay and cooked her a simple meal of tomato and egg noodles.
Later, as Lin Wei reviewed her design sketches, Ning Fang casually asked if one drawing was a trench coat. This unexpected comment sparked a burst of inspiration for Lin Wei. She worked tirelessly, sketching and refining her design until it was complete. Proudly, she showed him her finished work, explaining that his simple question had ignited her creativity, leading to a unique dress with three versatile wearing methods, combining three contrasting colors, and utilizing waterproof fabric.
She hoped that anyone wearing her dress would feel unique, adaptable, and free from constraints. As she enjoyed a freshly made bowl of noodles from Ning Fang, Lin Wei apologized for losing track of time. Ning Fang remarked that a person truly shines when doing what they love and believed designing would be the best way for her to heal. Lin Wei, however, credited Ning Fang with her recovery.
Seeing her renewed spirit, she declared it was her turn to help him move on from his own past. Ning Fang agreed it was time for him to look forward. Shortly after, Lin Wei received a call informing her that a French studio was impressed by her design and offered her a cooperative designer position.
Ning Fang congratulated her warmly, but his excitement turned to wistfulness when Lin Wei revealed she would be leaving for France the next day to prepare for their upcoming seasonal collection. He Qiaoyan and Qin Yiyue, now officially married, reveled in their new status. He Qiaoyan then presented her with an opportunity to pursue her dreams in Germany, revealing he had already informed Director Huang of her acceptance. Realizing he had planned this, Qin Yiyue playfully accused him of orchestrating their hasty marriage to "tie her down." She then set her own conditions: a proper wedding and a very long, floor-length bridal gown. He Qiaoyan readily agreed. Late one night, Qin Yiyue found He Qiaoyan asleep at his desk, immersed in work, and gently covered him. The next day was his official return to Heshi Group. On a video call, Qin Yiyue asked if he was excited. He Qiaoyan admitted it was three days later than planned, as winning back the Cooper Five Group contract had been challenging even with the upgraded bracelet.
Qin Yiyue expressed her belief that the board now understood only he could lead Heshi effectively, as their interim agents had failed. Brimming with confidence, He Qiaoyan declared that he had built Heshi's foundation and no one else could command such authority. The next morning, his secretary was already in his office, warmly welcoming him back.
Meanwhile, Ruowei and Wen Gu were snuggled on the couch watching a horror movie when Mr. Wen unexpectedly walked in, catching them together and demanding to know if they were cohabiting. Wen Gu bravely introduced Ruowei as his girlfriend, but his father was furious, railing against their relationship due to their professional positions. Wen Gu passionately defended Ruowei, accusing his father of prejudice against career women. Mr. Wen insisted on speaking with Ruowei privately.
After their talk, Ruowei told a stunned Wen Gu that they had to break up, claiming she didn't want to destroy the career prospects she valued so deeply. Wen Gu, refusing to accept this, assured her he would handle his father. He confronted Mr. Wen, who admitted to offering Ruowei five promotions in exchange for the breakup. Wen Gu then threatened to abandon the entire Wen Group for Ruowei.
His father listed all the assets Wen Gu depended on—his housing, car, and even his bar—and threatened to freeze his bank accounts. After confirming with Ruowei that she would accept him even if he had nothing—to which she playfully offered to "lend him half a bed"—Wen Gu returned to his father and dramatically surrendered all his assets. Distressed, Ruowei murmured that she wasn't worth such a sacrifice. At that moment, Mr. Wen and Ruowei both smiled.
He revealed that they had conspired all along to test the depth of Wen Gu's commitment and sense of responsibility, as Ruowei herself had harbored insecurities. Touched by his son's sincerity, Mr. Wen offered to buy them a grand wedding house, but Wen Gu proudly declined, asserting he wanted to earn a home for his beloved himself.
The day Qin Yiyue was due to return, He Qiaoyan and Poppet prepared a beautiful bouquet and drove to the airport, with He Qiaoyan coaching his son on how to praise his father's diligent tutoring in exchange for ice cream. However, Qin Yiyue called, apologizing that a project issue forced her to take a connecting flight back to Germany. He Qiaoyan and Poppet returned home, disheartened.
To their utter surprise and delight, Qin Yiyue was already there, having planned a surprise. As Poppet rushed into her arms, she teased them for not eating the pork ribs she had made. He Qiaoyan sent Poppet to wash his hands before sharing a passionate kiss with Qin Yiyue, both professing how much they missed each other. When Poppet prompted them to kiss, Qin Yiyue comically complained of an itchy back, asking He Qiaoyan to scratch it. After he obliged, she quipped, "Thank you, bro," prompting He Qiaoyan to retort, "Bro?" before pulling her into a deep kiss, as her parents watched with tears of joy. Just as Wen Gu joked that the bouquet was wasted on him, Lin Wei arrived, playfully confronting Wen Gu for calling her an "older, marriageable sister." Ning Fang, bouquet in hand, turned and greeted Lin Wei with a warm smile, bringing a truly happy ending for all.
