Ye Chengshu proposed a plan to renovate houses in Yushan Street free of charge, aiming to improve residents' living conditions, which included issues like leaky roofs and drafts. However, the street's residents were largely skeptical, viewing his offer with suspicion and questioning his motives.

Lin Xiaohu openly accused Ye Chengshu of having ulterior motives, suggesting his intentions were as deceptive as "a fox visiting a chicken," especially noting a prior visit from a real estate agent who seemed to know Ye Chengshu’s son. Ye Chengshu passionately explained his sincerity, emphasizing his strong desire to create a better living environment in Yushan Street, as some of the most important people in his life resided there.

He invited those who trusted him to sign up for the free renovation. Despite his plea, many residents remained hesitant, with Director Meng preferring to wait for results from other houses before committing. Gu Lingse, offering support, suggested they visit neighbors door-to-door, believing that convincing even one person would gradually lead others to follow suit. Ye Chengshu agreed to devise a new approach. Unexpectedly, Ms. Xu, who owned several old properties in Yushan Street, approached Ye Chengshu.

She surprised him by offering all her houses for renovation without any specific requirements, handing over the keys. This immediate act of trust delighted Ye Chengshu and quickly changed the perception of other residents. Soon after, more street residents, impressed by Ms. Xu's decision, began to approach Ye Chengshu, eagerly asking him to renovate their homes. Meanwhile, Jiang Wenbin's medical condition suddenly deteriorated.

Although stabilized after an emergency operation, a doctor informed Jiang Han that his father's organs were progressively failing, giving him less than a month to live. Overcome with rage and despair, Jiang Han confronted his unconscious father, furious that the Floating Island project remained incomplete and his father had not yet acknowledged his superiority over Ye Chengshu.

He bitterly blamed Jiang Wenbin for turning him into a "monster" and adamantly refused to let him die, ordering his team to keep his father alive at any cost. Later, Jiang Han, visibly distraught and heavily intoxicated, stumbled home. He lashed out at Gu Peiya, pushing her away and crying out to his father, questioning why he never acknowledged him or his efforts, reminding him that he was his son.

Gu Peiya gently comforted him, assuring him that everything would eventually improve. Despite warnings from his project manager about workers being affected by strong magnetic fields and a suggestion to suspend the Floating Island project, Jiang Han, desperate to finish it before his father's impending death, vehemently demanded it be completed within the month, threatening to withhold payment from anyone who failed to comply. Mulin Town experienced earthquake-like tremors as a result of the ongoing, high-risk experiments.

Elsewhere, Piaopiao arrived in Yushan Street and cornered Bei Chen, theatrically accusing him of abandoning her and their supposed child to compel him to reveal Gu Lingse’s whereabouts. Annoyed, Bei Chen eventually led her to Gu Lingse. Piaopiao, Gu Lingse, and Mu Qiuhui then decided to go shopping together. Piaopiao mistook Mu Qiuhui for Zhao Guobang's girlfriend, leading to some amusing clarifications. Mu Qiuhui also presented Zhao Guobang with a handmade gift.

While shopping, Piaopiao and Gu Lingse critiqued Mu Qiuhui's clothing, suggesting she try something new, which she happily agreed to. Later, Zhao Guobang, observing the women, remarked on how quickly they formed friendships. He also proudly tried on the item Mu Qiuhui made for him. Separately, Ming Rixin was discharged from the hospital. She expressed her strong dislike for Quan Zimo, feigning memory loss and repeatedly telling him to leave.

Quan Zimo, confused, initially believed her, but Ming Rixin soon revealed she had not lost her memory, she simply "hated to see" him. She recalled his own advice to her to cherish those around her, then disparaged him as unintelligent, arrogant, and self-centered, stating she would be foolish to fall in love with him. Later, while Ming Rixin and Quan Zimo were on a date, her brother, Mr. Ming, interrupted them.

He demanded they break up immediately, citing a non-existent company policy against office romance. He launched into a tirade against Quan Zimo, criticizing his character and even his height, claiming tall people consume more oxygen and have shorter lives. Ming Rixin, however, firmly stood her ground, declaring her intention to remain with Quan Zimo regardless of her brother's objections.

Seeing her resolve, Mr. Ming relented, acknowledging his sister had grown up, but sternly warned Quan Zimo to take good care of her. Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse continued their door-to-door visits, meticulously gathering residents' needs, which primarily included increasing room counts, separating living and sitting areas, and adding more storage. They identified the primary challenges as the prolonged construction time and the significant expense of temporary housing for residents.

Gu Lingse proposed a solution inspired by the concept of "aerial housing" or a floating island, to create a commercial and residential integrated model within the limited space, thus avoiding large-scale demolition. Ye Chengshu was initially concerned about the health risks associated with living in strong magnetic fields, which he noted was a known issue with floating islands.

Gu Lingse then suggested modifying the concept by incorporating visible supports, like a banyan tree structure, where the complex would be the "crown" and the pillars would function as "roots." Ye Chengshu found this idea ingenious and even "romantic," expressing his eagerness to bring this innovative vision to life. He confessed to being low on energy and asked for her "love to cheer him up."

After their conversation, Gu Lingse decided to return home, and Ye Chengshu offered to accompany her. During this time, Lin Xiaohu, addressing Zhao Guobang, quipped that Zhao had been treated as a "backup" for forty years and shouldn't hinder him. Zhao Guobang, however, reminded him that the last person who used such a term was now in prison, causing Lin Xiaohu to quickly apologize.
