Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse awoke in sweet domesticity before heading to join Yun Piaopiao and other young people who were enjoying tea by the river. On their way to the gathering, the couple became disoriented, leading them to inadvertently discover the Star Picking Terrace. This site was originally built by Ye Nanchuan for his son. Inside, Ye Chengshu found his father's hidden "treasure box."
Among its contents, Gu Lingse immediately recognized the design plans for a new type of residential building, an Ecological Floating Island, which Gu Huaiheng had long desired. However, instead of taking the plans, Gu Lingse urged Ye Chengshu to guard them carefully. Unbeknownst to them, Jiang Han, who was searching for them, stole the design plans after they departed from the terrace. Jiang Han then met with his father, Jiang Wenbin.
Jiang Han subtly brought up the topic of Ye Nanchuan's architectural legacy, particularly the rumored Ecological Floating Island design. Jiang Wenbin dismissed it as a mere rumor, believing such architecture to be impossible. Jiang Han persisted, asking if his father would build it if he had the design, and suggesting that with the design, the Jiang family would no longer be seen as merely following in Ye Nanchuan's footsteps.
Jiang Wenbin, however, remained firm, stating that even if he possessed the design, he would not give it to Jiang Han. He sternly warned his son to know his place and not covet things that did not belong to him, implicitly favoring Ye Chengshu. Feeling deeply hurt and ignored by his father, Jiang Han angrily questioned if Jiang Wenbin truly regarded him as a son, or if he was merely being compared to Ye Chengshu.
Jiang Wenbin, exasperated, ordered Jiang Han to leave. Later, alone, Jiang Han stared at the "Floating Island Ye Nanchuan" inscription on the stolen design, furious and frustrated that his father saw everything he did as wrong. Later, Jiang Han received a phone call from Chairman Jiang, who requested an urgent evaluation report on the Shizishui project to determine its feasibility. Jiang Han recognized this as another task intended to benefit Ye Chengshu.
Meanwhile, Gu Lingse woke up, having forgotten to turn off her alarm, and informed Ye Chengshu that she had to go to the company and then to Tomorrow Cooperation for a hotel project. Ye Chengshu, however, insisted she postpone all her work for "marital leave." Gu Lingse happily complied, rescheduling her appointments, while her secretary, Bei Chen, was left alone at the office, juggling multiple calls and lamenting the heavy workload.
Ye Chengshu then took Gu Lingse to his personal "secret base," a quiet place called Yofun Dongshan Sea. There, he made a special gesture, intertwining their hands, a symbolic sharing of their rediscovered future together. Jiang Han, fueled by resentment, approached Gu Huaiheng, presenting him with Ye Nanchuan's design notes for the Ecological Floating Island. Gu Huaiheng confirmed their authenticity.
Jiang Han offered to give him all the designs in time, outlining his conditions for cooperation: he would be the chief designer of the floating island project, and he would work with Gu Huaiheng from within Future Cooperation to bring the company down. Gu Huaiheng, initially wary of the risks, demanded five percent of Dingzhuang Group's stock and assurance of Jiang Han's loyalty.
To seal their alliance and demonstrate his commitment, Jiang Han proposed marriage to Gu Peiya, ensuring that Future Cooperation's stocks would eventually fall into Gu Huaiheng's hands. Gu Huaiheng, impressed by Jiang Han's ruthlessness, agreed to the partnership. Jiang Han then pressed for Dingzhuang's next move, and Gu Huaiheng revealed their plan was to acquire Future Cooperation outright. Gu Huaiheng warned Jiang Han against betrayal. Gu Peiya later confronted Jiang Han, having overheard the discussion with her father.
She excitedly discussed the plan to acquire Future Cooperation, confirming that 51 percent of its stocks would be theirs after the bet-on agreement deadline. She dismissed concerns about liquidity, believing the floating island project would attract ample investment. Gu Peiya expressed her disdain for Ye Chengshu, but admitted Jiang Han was "not bad" after hearing his ambitious plans, and then kissed him. At a board meeting, Jiang Wenbin questioned the unusual rise in the company's stock market.
Two executives attempted to flatter Gu Huaiheng, attributing the success to his leadership. Jiang Wenbin, however, saw through their attempts and sarcastically advised them to retire if they couldn't discern abnormal market behavior, warning them against their tricks. Shortly after, these same executives called Gu Huaiheng, reporting Jiang Wenbin's anger at the meeting. Gu Huaiheng dismissed their concerns, telling them to pretend ignorance, and then confidently declared that it was time for the floating island project to become public.
News channels soon announced that Dingzhuang Group was releasing the design for the Ecological Floating Island, hailing it as a revolutionary new ecological housing design. Watching the news, Ye Chengshu confirmed that it was his father's design and that Dingzhuang Group had plagiarized it. His mother, Yun Piaopiao, acknowledged Gu Huaiheng's ruthlessness but questioned how he obtained the manuscript, as Ye Chengshu himself had only discovered it days prior.
Ye Chengshu admitted that besides himself, only Gu Lingse had seen the manuscript. Yun Piaopiao then voiced suspicions about Gu Lingse, given her relationship with Gu Huaiheng, despite Ye Chengshu's defense of his wife's character. Furious that Gu Huaiheng had published the design prematurely, Jiang Han rushed to confront him, but was met by Gu Huaiheng's assistant, who implied that Jiang Han's impatience had compromised their plans and questioned his reliability.
Still, Jiang Han insisted that Dingzhuang Group would deliver on its promises. Meanwhile, Gu Lingse rushed to Ye Chengshu, vehemently denying any involvement in the design leak. She insisted that she had no knowledge of her father's actions and would never help him, suggesting that Jiang Wenbin would be well aware of the situation.
