Tourist representatives arrived as planned and, led by Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse, explored the bamboo forest walkway at Shi Zi Shui with great enjoyment. Ye Chengshu then suggested they continue their tour by heading down to Mulin County. Both the tourists and the online audience for the live broadcast expressed excitement. However, upon seeing Mulin County, the tourists were visibly disappointed. The historical significance and ancient architecture of the town failed to capture their interest.
Despite Ye Chengshu's efforts to explain the unique artistry of local woodcarving, which he revealed was integral to Shi Zi Shui’s design, and his promise of other activities including a special lantern show, their enthusiasm waned. Many of the visitors, whom Yun Piaopiao criticized for being ungrateful, decided to leave early, forcing the live broadcast to be cut. News of the Mulin County live broadcast's failure quickly spread online, becoming a trending topic.
Despite the setback, Ye Chengshu, though admitting to frustration, swiftly began to devise a comprehensive plan for the protective restoration and development of Mulin County, recognizing it needed more than just support from Shi Zi Shui. Gu Lingse encouraged him, and when he eventually fell asleep from exhaustion, she tenderly covered him with a blanket. Meanwhile, others like Bei Chen and Secretary Jin continued to prepare the lantern show despite the earlier cancellation of the Mulin County tour.
Gu Lingse called Bei Chen, confirming that the lantern show would proceed and instructed his team to hang all the lanterns throughout Shi Zi Shui. Unbeknownst to Ye Chengshu, Gu Lingse was preparing a surprise for him. That night, as the lantern show was ready, Ye Chengshu was woken by Su Bo and Su Zhe, who urged him to get changed for the event.
Dressed in traditional wedding attire, he turned to see Gu Lingse, also in a beautiful bridal gown, revealing her surprise: their wedding. She told him she had secretly arranged all the decorations, which he admired. The attendees cheered, calling for kisses and a cross-cupped wine ceremony for the newlyweds. During the festivities, Yun Piaopiao, whom both Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse affectionately called "Mom," arrived, expressing her joy at gaining a daughter and promising to always support Gu Lingse.
She then encouraged them to continue their lantern walk. The next morning, Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse woke up late, addressing each other as Mr. and Mrs. Ye. Yun Piaopiao called, teasing them for being slow to rise, mentioning that Quan Zimo and the staff had already returned to the company. She also instructed them to come meet her and provided a hand-drawn map. However, as they followed the map, they soon realized they were lost.
Ye Chengshu tried to call Yun Piaopiao, questioning the accuracy of her map, but the call dropped due to poor signal. Before they could backtrack, Gu Lingse spotted a high platform in the distance. Meanwhile, the group waiting for them grew worried. Bei Chen, Secretary Jin, and Jiang Han set out to search for Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse, agreeing to split up and meet back in an hour.
Ye Chengshu and Gu Lingse approached the platform, which he vaguely recognized. He soon realized it was the "Star-Plucking Tower," a gift his father had built for him based on a childhood drawing. Gu Lingse was deeply moved by this gesture, praising his father's romantic and faithful spirit. Ye Chengshu then remembered his father had mentioned a treasure box hidden in the tower, containing a precious painting he had drawn.
Climbing to the top, they found a small box holding Ye Chengshu's childhood drawing, which he proudly declared a masterpiece. Below it, he discovered his father’s manuscript. Gu Lingse noted the striking resemblance between the manuscript's design and both a toy his father once gave him and the "Floating Island power display drawing" in their living room.
She urged him to keep the manuscript safe, but Ye Chengshu decided to place it back in its original spot, stating it had been there for over two decades. Realizing the others must be worried, they quickly made their way back. The search party soon found them. Yun Piaopiao expressed her relief and playfully blamed her map for their getting lost. Ye Chengshu jokingly agreed, calling it a "treasure map that leads no one to treasures."
As everyone teased Yun Piaopiao, Jiang Han, who had also been part of the search, returned looking visibly distracted. When asked for his opinion, he simply offered a hesitant, preoccupied response.
