Shao Moli playfully asked An Yu to kiss him, but she teased that he was still on probation. She explained that he was so handsome and perfect, with many admirers and temptations, that she needed to test his sincerity. Shao Moli, serious about their relationship, urged her not to joke, but An Yu warned him that being fierce would lead to point deductions. He then asked about her scoring criteria for the probation, to which she simply replied, "My feelings."

She assured him the probation wouldn't last long, believing he would pass, and Shao Moli replied that her happiness was his happiness. An Yu then leaned in and gave him a tender kiss, which he reciprocated with a kiss on her cheek. As they left the restaurant, a heavy rain began to fall. Shao Moli shielded An Yu's hair with his hand, then pulled a large outdoor umbrella from its stand, and they ran off together.

Later that night, Fang Li was still working when she chatted with her Soul App match, "Vitality Guy." They had a friendly conversation, and he correctly deduced she was in a good mood based on her emoji choices. Fang Li, surprised, admitted he was the first to notice. She also learned that "Vitality Guy" frequently stayed up late reading Jin Yong's martial arts novels.

Fang Li, also a fan, asked if he knew where she could find an out-of-print edition of "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils," sending him a picture of the book. To Su Dayong's astonishment, he realized the book was the exact one he had accidentally spilled water on earlier, revealing that "Thinking in a Quiet Night" was none other than Fang Li. Everyone at Zhuoyue was working late, preparing for the upcoming project.

Fang Li was unusually polite when assigning tasks to most team members, but her attitude towards An Yu remained harsh, which An Yu had grown accustomed to. During a brief break, Su Dayong, secretly observing Fang Li, messaged her on Soul App, encouraging her to smile if she was happy, prompting a faint smile from Fang Li. Meanwhile, Shao Moli discreetly passed a note to An Yu, asking her to meet him on the rooftop.

An Yu messaged back that she had important work to do, and Shao Moli replied that he did too. An Yu happily went to the rooftop to find Shao Moli, who was diligently playing "Happy Birthday" on the piano, despite his inexperience. He then presented her with a special gift: a video of Yiyi singing "Happy Birthday," which brought tears to An Yu's eyes.

In the video, Yiyi called Shao Moli "Big Bad Wolf Brother," and Shao Moli explained that he wore a wolf mask to avoid appearing like a weird uncle to the child. He had also prepared a cake and a small crown. An Yu made a wish, her hand clasped in Shao Moli's, thanking him sincerely for everything he had done. They then shared a deep embrace and kiss.

Later, Fang Li received a distressing call from the Head Nurse, informing her that Fangfang had a sudden lung infection and was in the ICU. Fang Li immediately rushed to the hospital. Upon arrival, the Head Nurse reassured her that Fangfang's condition was stable and he would soon be transferred to a regular ward. The infection was likely caused by nasal discharge accidentally entering his trachea.

Concerned about Fang Li's financial strain, the Head Nurse suggested considering a shared room, using more affordable local medications, and hiring another caregiver. She also mentioned that An Yu had visited Fangfang frequently over the past year and encouraged Fang Li to accept her help.

However, Fang Li adamantly refused to use An Yu's money and, determined not to give up on Fangfang, immediately called a real estate agent to sell her current house and find a smaller apartment to cover the mounting medical costs. At the company meeting, Fang Li expressed concern to Shao Moli about the team's ability to meet the deadline for the preliminary acquisition proposals, fearing it would jeopardize the roadshow. Shao Moli urged her to have faith in the team.

Fang Li scoffed, telling him he was too young and would learn that miracles do not happen in life. Just then, the team members, including Su Dayong and Ye Kai, rushed in, out of breath, to submit their reports just before the deadline. Fang Li then demanded An Yu's report. Ye Kai explained that An Yu was still conducting asset research at Hongxing Telecom for the employee equity acquisition proposal and had asked them to submit her report.

Fang Li became enraged, questioning An Yu's absence and implying she received special treatment because of Shao Moli. Su Dayong, to everyone's surprise, spoke up in An Yu's defense, highlighting her exceptional work ethic and positive attitude, stating that An Yu knew hatred only hurt oneself and solved nothing.

Fang Li, visibly shaken by his words, furiously declared that she would fire anyone who spoke to her in such a tone, even if they were under Shao Moli, before storming out. As Fang Li waited for the elevator, she encountered An Yu. She angrily took An Yu to the riverbank where Fangfang had rescued her, reminding An Yu of the exact spot where he jumped in.

Fang Li tearfully accused An Yu, painfully contrasting An Yu's son, who was at least healthy even if not by her side, with her own son, Fangfang, who lay incapacitated, his bright future cut short, having not yet experienced college or love. She recounted raising Fangfang alone and how his admiration for "warriors who fight for righteousness" had led him to save An Yu without hesitation.

Fang Li bitterly added that Fangfang hadn't even known what kind of person he was saving. Overwhelmed by guilt and sorrow, An Yu could only repeatedly apologize. After returning home, An Yu, still deeply distressed, retreated to her room. Leyley, worried, called Shao Moli to inform him. Shao Moli rushed over and, finding An Yu unwilling to speak, stayed by her door all night.

The next morning, An Yu emerged from her room to find Shao Moli asleep on a chair outside. She gently woke him, reassuring him that she was fine, and affectionately called him "Husky." An Yu encouraged him to wash up, reminding him they would be late for work otherwise, and gave him a comforting hug before heading off to work. Later, An Yu went to Fang Li’s office to deliver a revised analysis report.

Through the blinds, she saw Fang Li clutching her stomach in pain and looking for water. An Yu offered her a packet of stomach medicine, explaining that she also experienced stomachaches when she was upset, and assured her it would provide relief. Fang Li accepted the medicine. An Yu later visited her father's grave with Mr. Ma.

Mr. Ma spoke to An Yu's father's tombstone, acknowledging his own failure to save the factory but expressing pride that An Yu, now very capable, was taking on the responsibility, just like her father once did, assuring him he could rest in peace. After Mr. Ma left, An Yu spoke privately to her father's grave. She mentioned that she had met someone new, Shao Moli, and they were in a relationship.

She playfully added that she would bring him to meet her father after "testing him out" and that one day, Yiyi would return to her side. At that moment, Shao Moli appeared, surprising An Yu, and remarked, "No need for tests. I'm already here."
