However, their happy moment was cut short when Mi Lu arrived, witnessing the trio's closeness. She angrily took Yiyi and left, with Zhou Yuan following close behind.
Upon returning home, Mi Lu asked Ms. Chen, the nanny, to take Yiyi inside. Zhou Yuan tried to explain his actions, admitting his deep guilt over betraying An Wenbin and An Yu. He confessed to frequently dreaming of An Wenbin's accusations, which haunted him. Zhou Yuan maintained that his previous harsh treatment of An Yu was a desperate attempt to protect their family and prevent Mi Lu from being upset.
