Zhou Yuan confronted Mi Lu about her actions against An Yu, questioning why she hadn't told him and if she considered the consequences should An Yu call the police. Mi Lu, deducing that Mr. Fu had informed Zhou Yuan, stated her deep-seated fear of losing Yiyi. She explained that she hadn't told him because she didn't want to involve him, but Zhou Yuan countered that it was because she knew he wouldn't approve.

Mi Lu insisted on Yiyi's importance to her, stating she couldn't lose him, especially since An Yu’s release from prison and her joining Zhuoyue, which Mi Lu perceived as attempts to gain custody of Yiyi. Despite Zhou Yuan's reassurances that he would protect their family and Yiyi, Mi Lu remained steadfast, even daring An Yu to call the police. Concerned, Zhou Yuan decided to speak with An Yu, hoping to convince her not to involve law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Ye Kai tried to call Lailai to invite her and their colleagues for dinner, but she didn't answer. Shao Moli and Ye Kai decided to go to the branch office to find them. Zhou Yuan requested a private meeting with An Yu at Zhuoyue, even asking for the surveillance cameras to be turned off. Once inside, he offered her food and expressed concern.

An Yu, however, firmly stated her intention to call the police after the company's internal investigation concluded. Zhou Yuan then appealed to her emotions, acknowledging Mi Lu's wrongdoing. He explained that Mi Lu had become paranoid since An Yu's release, fearing the loss of Yiyi, which led her to act foolishly. He took responsibility for the situation, but An Yu remained unmoved, urging him to leave if he was finished.

She argued that if Mi Lu truly cared for Yiyi, she wouldn't have done such a thing. Zhou Yuan persisted, emphasizing that Mi Lu had raised Yiyi for four years and was like a mother to him. He asked An Yu to consider Yiyi's need for a complete family, promising to tell Yiyi the full truth when he was older. He stressed that Yiyi would be devastated if Mi Lu were arrested. This appeal finally softened An Yu.

She agreed not to call the police but demanded to know the entire truth, declaring it her bottom line. Before leaving, Zhou Yuan reminded her that his feelings for her during their five years together were genuine. After Zhou Yuan left, Jiang Haoran confronted Xu Jingya, questioning her about the incident and her involvement, stating it was more complex than she thought. Xu Jingya, however, denied any part in it.

During the Internal Audit Department’s questioning, Lailai managed to borrow a cleaning lady’s phone, using a fabricated story about an ex-boyfriend to get access. She quickly called Ye Kai, informing him that An Yu was detained by the Internal Audit Department in a Zhuoyue meeting room. Upon hearing this, Ye Kai immediately told Shao Moli, who then rushed to Zhuoyue.

At the Zhuoyue building, Shao Moli, after a brief confrontation with a security guard about the parking barrier, burst into the meeting room where An Yu was still being pressured by Mr. Fu and others to resign. Mr. Fu argued that An Yu was being stubborn and advised her to admit guilt, offering to keep the incident off her record if she resigned. An Yu, weak but resolute, repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

Shao Moli intervened, accusing the Internal Audit Department of illegal detention. He then had an employee record him, publicly vowing on his career to prove An Yu's innocence within 24 hours, or he would quit the financial industry. He then carried the unconscious An Yu out of the building. Shao Moli took An Yu home, entrusting Ye Kai with her care, instructing him to ensure she stayed hydrated.

Ye Kai informed Shao Moli that Lailai was on her way back after completing her interrogation. Ye Kai expressed concern about Shao Moli's promise, as the area of the incident was known to lack surveillance. Shao Moli acknowledged the challenge but was determined to try. Meanwhile, Mi Lu, drinking heavily, became enraged after learning that Zhou Yuan had apologized to An Yu. She felt she had done nothing wrong and that Zhou Yuan wasn't siding with her.

She confronted him, expressing her anxiety and insomnia over the possibility of An Yu taking Yiyi. She argued that a husband should stand by his wife even when she makes mistakes. After a heated argument, Mi Lu declared she would stay at her law firm for a few days, leaving Zhou Yuan alone. Shao Moli spent the entire night tirelessly searching for evidence around the Chuanhe branch.

After asking many shop owners without success, he eventually found a small truck owner who had a dashcam. The truck owner recalled driving back from purchasing goods around 7 or 8 PM on the 18th. Shao Moli reviewed the dashcam footage, discovering a video of An Yu helping an elderly woman cross the street at 7:56:03 PM on the 18th. This time was mere seconds after the suspicious transaction on Mi Lu's account at 7:55:54 PM, which occurred 1.

4 kilometers away from An Yu's location. This clearly provided An Yu with an irrefutable alibi, proving it was physically impossible for her to have made the transaction. An Yu woke up and learned from Lailai that Shao Moli had rescued her and made a public promise to clear her name, putting his career on the line.

Distraught by the video of his declaration, An Yu expressed deep concern for Shao Moli's career, attempting to contact him without success as the 24-hour deadline approached. Shao Moli presented the dashcam footage to the Internal Audit Department. He explained the time discrepancy, arguing that An Yu could not have been at two locations simultaneously, thus proving her innocence. The Internal Audit Department requested the original, unedited video and the owner's information for verification.

Xu Jingya immediately objected, arguing that a single dashcam video was insufficient. She highlighted unexplained factors like the security token, the disabled surveillance camera, and the transaction being made from An Yu's computer. She suggested An Yu had an accomplice and had deliberately created a false alibi. Mr. Fu supported Xu Jingya, agreeing that more investigation was needed and reminding Shao Moli of his impending deadline. Shao Moli later met with Xu Jingya privately.

He revealed his knowledge of her romantic involvement with Jiang Haoran and her long-standing resentment towards An Yu due to Jiang Haoran's perceived favoritism toward An Yu. He accused her of conspiring with Mi Lu to frame An Yu, stating that Mi Lu lured her with benefits and convinced her to become the Chuanhe branch manager to execute the plan.

Xu Jingya denied everything, accusing Shao Moli of fabricating a story to save himself as his 24-hour deadline was about to expire. Shao Moli confidently asserted that he knew she wasn't clever enough to devise such a scheme independently and that Mi Lu was the true instigator, providing her with the cipher and instructions.

He then exposed her false alibi, revealing that her friend Selina, whom Xu Jingya claimed to be with at the time of the incident, had actually used Xu Jingya's fabricated alibi to meet a date. Shao Moli sarcastically commented on their "friendship," where one used the other to harm someone while the other used her for a date. Xu Jingya, flustered, demanded to know why he was helping An Yu, but Shao Moli chose not to answer.

As Xu Jingya left the meeting, Shao Moli told Ye Kai that his calculated move had alerted the "bigger snake." Xu Jingya, panicked by Shao Moli's revelations, immediately called Mi Lu. She informed Mi Lu that Shao Moli knew everything, including her fake alibi, and was unsure what to do. Mi Lu instructed Xu Jingya to meet her at Swan Hill Park in half an hour.

During their meeting, Mi Lu, after confirming Xu Jingya hadn't revealed her involvement to Shao Moli, instructed her to delete all their WeChat messages and contact information, including cached data, effectively abandoning her. Xu Jingya realized Mi Lu was trying to cut ties and threatened to expose Mi Lu, stating she had recorded all their conversations. Mi Lu scoffed, asserting that her past advice was merely about a friend's story and offered as general opinions, completely unrelated to herself.
