The Wolf Princess Episode 11 Recap
> The Wolf Princess Recap
Yan Qing was entangled in a fierce battle with Mi Ya. Meanwhile, Ling Long led the saints and other villagers, guided by a giant wolf, to rendezvous with more villagers, only to be pursued by messengers. Bro Tong arrived with the wolf guards for a rescue, but the men in black released a Broken Dragon Stone, blocking their path into the village.
Ling Long initially summoned Langyin for assistance, gaining an advantage, but as time wore on, Langyin grew increasingly weak. In desperation, Ling Long activated a mysterious power within her. A white light enveloped her, destroying the Broken Dragon Stone and finally allowing the wolf guards to rush in and rescue everyone. In the chaos, Mi Ya managed to escape under the cover of two men in black.
By the time Yan Qing shook off the last of his pursuers, Ling Long had already fallen unconscious. Yan Yu was distraught, having seen Ling Long use a small fraction of this power before, which resulted in her meridians being completely severed. This time, he feared the worst. Doctor Mi Sa, after examining Ling Long, stated that her survival depended on whether she woke up by the next morning.
Yan Yu expressed deep remorse and anger, lamenting his failure to protect Ling Long. He had promised to repay her for saving his life in childhood, where she had used a tiny bit of that energy, causing her severe internal injuries that only Aunt Li's timely intervention could cure. Bro Tong arrived, reporting a grim discovery from the cave: numerous bodies, more than two hundred, all children previously taken as "saints" over the years.
He also informed Yan Qing that the grass found in the bronze tripod in the hut was a magic herb, seemingly extracted from Wolf Family warriors. Bro Tong explained that every Wolf Family member has a magic herb growing within their birthmark, which is why their physique is stronger than ordinary people. Yan Qing pieced together the horrifying truth: Mi Ya was using ordinary people to cultivate magic herbs, killing them once grown to extract their energy and refine elixirs.
He reasoned that ordinary people cannot withstand the magic herb's power; they might gain temporary strength but would eventually perish, a fact Mi Ya clearly disregarded. That night, with Doctor Mi Sa's grim prognosis, Yan Qing quietly entered Ling Long's room, ensuring no one else was present. He gently poked Xiao Chan's pressure points to immobilize her, then sat by Ling Long's bedside.
He spoke softly to her, recounting recent events and expressing his deep love and concern, wishing for her to awaken. The giant wolf, which had been with Ling Long since the Mountain God incident, also lay by her side. The next morning, Ling Long woke up. To avoid any rumors or complications, Yan Qing slipped away quietly before anyone saw him.
Ling Long vaguely remembered Yan Qing's tender words and the warmth of his hand in hers throughout the night, leaving her bewildered. Hearing how worried everyone was, Yan Yu realized his earlier misunderstanding and apologized to Yan Qing. Ling Long felt immense relief knowing Mi Ya was gravely wounded and the "saints" had safely descended the mountain. Xiuniang, learning of Ling Long's recovery, immediately visited with Alang, joyfully announcing their recent marriage. Ling Long, delighted, gifted them a jade pendant.
During their conversation, Xiuniang mentioned how Yan Qing had cleverly resolved her past troubles with the scoundrel scholar without resorting to violence, deeply touching Ling Long, who, despite her softening heart, continued to playfully bicker with Yan Qing. Yan Yu, witnessing their growing affection, felt a pang of discomfort. Ling Long presented Yan Qing with the prescription for the wound medicine, in exchange for his promise to help her find a way to return to Southern Chu within a month.
Just then, Yan Yu delivered a letter from Master Yan, summoning them back to the capital to provide a detailed account of the Mi Ya incident for the imperial court. Unexpectedly, Doctor Mi Sa requested to accompany them. He revealed that Mi Ya was his junior martial brother, with whom he shared a close bond growing up while studying alchemy.
Mi Sa confessed that he had discovered Mi Ya practicing forbidden arts and, in a moment of soft-heartedness, merely expelled him instead of eliminating him as he should have. Now, seeing the havoc Mi Ya wreaked, Mi Sa deeply regretted his past leniency and wished to join them to apprehend Mi Ya, thereby atoning for his mistake.
Yan Qing inquired if Mi Sa knew anything about Mi Ya's connection to the Wolf Family or his alleged practice of refining their energy, but Mi Sa denied any knowledge, citing their decade-long separation. Yan Qing agreed to Mi Sa joining their party. Although Ling Long's health was recovering, Doctor Mi Sa advised against overexertion during travel. Yan Qing, citing urgency to report to his father, decided to leave a day earlier.
Ling Long, tired of Yan Qing's teasing, retorted that his absence would quicken her recovery. Still, as Yan Qing departed, he covertly instructed Bro Tong and the wolf guards to follow and protect Ling Long's caravan from any potential ambushes by Mi Ya. As Ling Long's caravan journeyed through a forest, Bro Tong and his men, hidden, noticed a group of Xileng Village villagers lurking. Initially fearing an ambush, Bro Tong stepped out to investigate.
It turned out the villagers had come to bid them farewell and express their profound gratitude. An old man explained their furtive behavior was due to their past ignorance and their desire not to disturb Ling Long during her recovery. Ling Long gently advised them against falling for deception again and to live their lives well. A little girl offered her a basket of eggs as a token of thanks, collected through her weaving efforts.
Ling Long, touched, accepted only one, promising to return when the girl was grown and could protect herself. As the villagers departed, Bro Tong and his team continued their covert protection, knowing Mi Ya was still at large. Ling Long's heart warmed at Yan Qing's thoughtful arrangements, but this burgeoning happiness was a painful sight for Yan Yu.
