Li Hanyi knocked Lei Wujie and Li Fansong to the ground, then asked about the name of Li Fansong's peach wood sword and broke it on the spot. Having already witnessed Li Hanyi's prowess, Li Fansong felt it inappropriate to linger and left first with Fei Xuan. In contrast, Lei Wujie truthfully explained his intentions under Li Hanyi's questioning, hoping she would go to Leimen to meet his master, Lei Hong.

Sure enough, upon hearing this, Li Hanyi's expression wavered before she quickly composed herself and casually threw the Killing Fear Sword to the top of the Ascension Pavilion. Li Hanyi laid out a simple condition: if Lei Wujie could pull out the Killing Fear Sword and formally take her as his master by withstanding three strikes, she would go with him to see Lei Hong.

Once Lei Wujie was accepted as a disciple of the Sword Immortal of Xueyue, Sikong Changfeng tried every means to persuade Xiao Se to stay, even bluntly expressing his wish to take Xiao Se as a disciple as well. Unlike Li Hanyi’s stern manner of accepting disciples, Sikong Changfeng’s approach was overly humble, promising Xiao Se that if he agreed, all of Xueyue City’s wealth would be at his disposal.

Xiao Se bargained his way to a monthly salary of eight million taels. At Tianwaitian, after becoming the new sect leader, Wu Xin began handling internal affairs. The White-Haired Deity reported to him on the latest happenings in the Central Plains, including the adventures of Lei Wujie and Xiao Se in Xueyue City.

Upon hearing that the two had become disciples of Li Hanyi and Sikong Changfeng respectively, Wu Xin was genuinely happy for them and looked forward to their reunion. Lei Wujie woke up after an entire day and night and was surprised to learn that he and Xiao Se had become fellow disciples. Thinking of the three Lords of Xueyue City, famous across the land, Lei Wujie fantasized about becoming someone like them. Xiao Se found his thinking a bit childish.

Tang Lian was curious about Xiao Se’s real reason for staying in Xueyue City, but Xiao Se did not reveal the truth. Sikong Changfeng noticed that Xiao Se still harbored concerns about past events and reluctantly told him the truth. Years ago, Sikong Changfeng had planned to head straight for Tianqi City but received a letter from Xiao Se’s royal uncle at a critical moment, instructing him to guard Xueyue City at all costs.

Unexpectedly, this farewell turned into an eternal separation. After telling the story, Sikong Changfeng seized the moment to use a silver needle to sever Xiao Se’s meridians, confirming that his martial arts had been lost. Despite this, Sikong Changfeng still helped Xiao Se restore his meridians. After all, he was half a disciple of Medicine King Xin Baicao and believed there must be a solution.

Sikong Changfeng pointed out that Xiao Se’s sluggish blood flow would seriously affect his hidden meridians and suggested he exercise more. He then told Sikong Qianluo to regularly spar with Xiao Se. As promised, Lei Wujie arrived at the back mountain. When Li Hanyi asked why he drew his sword, he scratched his head, unsure of the reason, only to suddenly find a long sword in his hand. This was the Listening Rain Sword—his gift upon becoming her disciple.

Li Hanyi warned Lei Wujie to remember that drawing a sword and practicing swordsmanship were two different forms of martial arts. Lei Wujie, not wanting to discuss life and death, failed in his attempt to draw the sword and realized that the Listening Rain Sword actually recognized its master. However, even after several days, Lei Wujie still could not grasp the will to draw the sword, so he was sent down the mountain to seek enlightenment.

Along the way, Lei Wujie ran into Luo Mingxuan and later met Luo Mingxuan’s master, Yin Luoxia. Upon seeing the Listening Rain Sword in Lei Wujie’s hand, Yin Luoxia realized how much Li Hanyi valued him. At this moment, Sikong Qianluo chased after Xiao Se, her lightness skill clearly improved, though it made Xiao Se miserable trying to hide and dodge, nearly becoming her living target.

Taking advantage of her distraction, Lei Wujie slipped away with Xiao Se and accidentally entered a courtyard where Ye Ruoyi was playing the zither. Xiao Se and Ye Ruoyi recognized each other but didn’t show it. Instead, Lei Wujie fell in love with Ye Ruoyi at first sight. Ye Ruoyi helped them hide from Sikong Qianluo’s search. Only after she left did the two come out and bid farewell to Ye Ruoyi.

On their way down the mountain, Xiao Se and Lei Wujie met Tang Lian and became curious about the story between Li Hanyi, Zhao Yuzhen, and Lei Hong. Tang Lian recounted that decades ago, Li Hanyi had long heard of Zhao Yuzhen’s exceptional swordsmanship and sought him out for a duel. However, Zhao Yuzhen, despite his powerful inner strength and sword skills, used them only to accelerate the blooming of peach trees.

Feeling disrespected, Li Hanyi, in anger, cut down all the peach blossoms. As a result, Zhao Yuzhen retaliated with his sword, accidentally knocking off Li Hanyi’s mask and becoming captivated by her beauty.
