Shen Xifan then messaged her friend Xiangya, who also had a spare key, asking her to send it via flash delivery.
Xiangya, who had just finished showering, learned Shen Xifan was at He Suye's place and suggested she simply stay there for the night, then wished her goodnight. When He Suye asked what Xiangya had said, Shen Xifan feigned disappointment, claiming Xiangya was out and couldn't deliver the key, implying she had nowhere else to go and would have to stay at his place.
He Suye noted he only had one bedroom, so Shen Xifan offered to sleep on the couch, but He Suye dismissed it as uncomfortable and inappropriate for a guest. Shen Xifan then requested to borrow pajamas and a bath towel to take a shower. Shen Xifan picked a simple, cute, and comfortable pair of pajamas, suggesting they buy matching ones, which He Suye found acceptable. He Suye mentioned they were shopping for daily necessities. He initially said he would drop his things off at his place before coming over for dinner. Fang Kexin, however, gently rejected him, confirming they were just good friends.
