A Nu blamed herself endlessly, locking herself in her room all day, neither eating nor drinking, hating herself for misjudging someone, and feeling helpless about unrequited love. Tang Yu had killed two Nanzhao generals, and destroyed the Wizard Queen's statue. This string of disasters was simply irreparable. The King of Nanzhao saw his daughter's feelings and comforted her, saying she didn't need to blame herself. Although Tang Yu became Chief Bai Yue's lackey, their genuine affection was not wrong.

If blame must be assigned, it was he himself who had placed Tang Yu beside A Nu, so he also bore responsibility. Having just visited Lin Yueru, Saint Granny suddenly told Li Xiaoyao that Zhao Ling'er was in a very bad state.

Although Zhao Ling'er was unconscious, she had been using her internal energy to protect the fetus in her womb. Now, eroded by the cold poison, her internal energy was growing weaker. Li Xiaoyao was both happy and sad; he hadn't known Zhao Ling'er was pregnant and had endured so much hardship during this time. He immediately begged Saint Granny to find a way to save her.

Saint Granny explained that in the direction of the Rakshasa Ghost Cave there was a Kirin Horn, and if found and used for refining medicine, it should help Zhao Ling'er overcome this ordeal. Without hesitation, Li Xiaoyao immediately set off again. Entering the cave, he saw a Fire Kirin roaring. Moments later, it transformed into an old man. The Kirin Elder coughed constantly. Li Xiaoyao stepped forward to help pat his back.

The Kirin Elder spat out a bead, and his coughing stopped. Li Xiaoyao then explained his purpose. The Kirin Elder said that medicines from spirit beasts were simply unbearable for mortals. Li Xiaoyao explained his wife Zhao Ling'er belonged to the Nuwa clan. Upon hearing this, the Kirin Elder generously broke off a Kirin Horn and gave it to him, saying that for thousands of years, Nuwa descendants giving birth have needed the assistance of a Kirin Horn.

He also gave him a Fire Spirit Orb. Li Xiaoyao was extremely grateful. As he prepared to leave, the Kirin Elder sighed, lamenting that although the two were a perfect match, they could not stay together forever, for Nuwa descendants were destined to sacrifice themselves. After Zhao Ling'er took the Kirin Horn, her condition improved significantly.

Li Xiaoyao muttered to himself, saying that after the child was born, the family of three would return to Xian Ling Island to live peacefully away from the world. Saint Granny saw that Li Xiaoyao was troubled and asked for the reason. Li Xiaoyao expressed his confusion. Saint Granny suggested Li Xiaoyao go to the Nuwa Temple to find answers. Li Xiaoyao avoided Chief Bai Yue's guards and snuck into the Nuwa Temple.

Facing the Nuwa stone statue, he asked her to bless Zhao Ling'er and her child with safety. Nuwa took Li Xiaoyao to another space where Jiu Jian Xian was practicing. Li Xiaoyao stepped forward to greet him and found Jiu Jian Xian looked much younger and didn't recognize him at all. He then asked Jiu Jian Xian what he was busy with. Jiu Jian Xian replied that he was performing a ritual to subdue a flood.

Only then did Li Xiaoyao realize he had traveled back ten years. Remembering that Shi Zhanglao had once said his parents died in Nanzhao ten years ago, Li Xiaoyao decided to personally uncover the truth. Jiu Jian Xian happened to be going to Nanzhao to perform a ritual, so the two traveled together. In Nanzhao, Chief Bai Yue, after his retreat, stated he had found the culprit behind the Nanzhao catastrophe: the Wizard Queen. The populace followed suit and presented a memorial to the imperial court, demanding the eradication of the demon and the salvation of Nanzhao.
