Baopu found Shu Zhong Xian and demanded a way to get out of the Demon Locking Pagoda. Shu Zhong Xian replied that no one had ever gotten out since the Demon Locking Pagoda was built. Baopu thought Shu Zhong Xian was unwilling to listen to him and began to cast spells. Seeing that Baopu's moves were taught by Ming Wang, Shu Zhong Xian could only continue to help find a way. Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru secretly followed Tai Wu.

Tai Wu, considering their fellow sect members' friendship, did not blame them, but patiently explained that ever since they subdued the demon girl together, Baopu's whereabouts had been unknown. As for who the so-called demon girl was, Tai Wu did not explain. Li Xiaoyao just wanted to go along with Tai Wu for now so they could continue following him, so he did not ask further.

After Tai Wu left, Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru analyzed that Tai Wu was always by the book and didn't seem to be lying. Perhaps Baopu had already left Shushan. Baopu muttered to himself, saying if he had known he couldn't leave the Demon Locking Pagoda, he shouldn't have given the Ling Zhu to Ming Wang back then. Shu Zhong Xian heard 'Ling Zhu' and suddenly remembered that the Demon Locking Pagoda was built with Ling Stones. If the Five Ling Zhu were found, being of the same origin as the Ling Stones, they could exit the Demon Locking Pagoda.

Just as he was speaking, the pagoda body shook, indicating outsiders had entered. Shu Zhong Xian used his scroll to sense the outside world and discovered a man and a woman. Baopu stepped forward to check, and it turned out to be Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru. He was just worrying about how to proceed, but the two had delivered themselves to him. Baopu possessed Tai Wu.

When Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru entered the Demon Locking Pagoda, Tai Wu fought fiercely with the two. Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru were clearly no match for Baopu, who possessed Ming Wang's magic power, and were at a disadvantage everywhere. Tai Wu used his sword to stab at them. Xiao Shi Tou suddenly appeared to block the sword. As a string of prayer beads was broken, Xiao Shi Tou also vanished into nothingness. The Jade Buddha formation became ineffective.

Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru suddenly remembered Zhao Ling'er. Jiu Jian Xian arrived in time, subdued Tai Wu with magic, and brought the three of them before Dugu Jian Sheng. He said Baopu killed Mu Dao Ren and framed him. Tai Wu recalled the scene at the time and also felt it was very likely that Baopu killed Mu Dao Ren. Gai Luojiao went to the netherworld in the Nan Zhao royal palace. Gui Ying suddenly appeared. Gai Luojiao asked Gui Ying what exactly his conspiracy was. Gui Ying did not hide it and directly took Gai Luojiao to look at the Water Demon Beast under the water.

Gai Luojiao reprimanded Gui Ying, saying Bai Yue's conscience was gone and he had forgotten the situation ten years ago when the Water Demon Beast ravaged Nan Zhao. Zhao Ling'er was worried that Li Xiaoyao would try to save her regardless of the consequences and asked Jiang Wan'er to find a way to tell Li Xiaoyao to leave the Demon Locking Pagoda. Li Xiaoyao was worried that Lin Yueru would be implicated and asked her to return to the Lin Family Manor. Lin Yueru naturally refused to go back. Although Jiu Jian Xian tried to stop them repeatedly, the two were determined to enter the Demon Locking Pagoda.
