Tang Yu sent A Nu to the Sacred Tree Forest. Sacred Aunt treated A Nu. Gai Luojiao prepared to return to Nanzhao to expose Chief Bai Yue together with the King of the Southern Alliance. Sacred Aunt wanted to inquire about Chief Bai Yue's conspiracy through Tang Yu. Gai Luojiao explained that Tang Yu was likely Chief Bai Yue's informant. Sacred Aunt replied that she had her own judgment.

Bao Pu, holding Taoist Mu's talisman, requested an audience with the Head of the Shushan Sect, Dugu Sword Saint. Tai Wu led him before Dugu Sword Saint. Bao Pu reported that Taoist Mu had been harmed by an evil being and pleaded with Dugu Sword Saint to uphold justice. Bao Pu continued to describe how Taoist Mu had specifically instructed him before his death to go to Shushan to learn techniques. Dugu Sword Saint agreed to Bao Pu's request.

As for the demon girl who killed Taoist Mu, Bao Pu claimed that Li Xiaoyao, a Shushan Sect disciple, colluded with her. Dugu Sword Saint stated that he had not sensed such strong demonic energy, and Tai Wu also replied that Li Xiaoyao's name was not in the Shushan Sect's records. However, Jiu Jian Xian had been wandering outside and there was still no news of him.

All the disciples stepped forward, requesting to slay the demon girl and avenge Taoist Mu. Dugu Sword Saint hesitated. Zhen Yu Ming Wang suddenly appeared, indicating that the Shushan Sect had been slaying demons and vanquishing evil for hundreds of years, maintaining righteousness in the human world. Today, they could not allow evil beings to cause trouble and needed to apprehend them quickly.

Dugu Sword Saint stated that the matter had not yet been thoroughly investigated, but Zhen Yu Ming Wang did not change his directive. Thus, he arranged for Bao Pu to take the Seven Star Sword Formation to Peach Blossom Village to perform the spell. Li Xiaoyao passed by the cliff and discovered Taoist Mu's body. The three of them began to analyze the cause of Taoist Mu's death.

Li Xiaoyao found a bloody stone nearby and guessed that Bao Pu must have killed Taoist Mu and stolen the Wind Spirit Pearl. Bao Pu suddenly arrived near Li Xiaoyao with Tai Wu and the Seven Star Sword Formation. A fierce battle immediately ensued. Tai Wu used the Seven Star Sword Formation to control the three of them. Li Xiaoyao had a moment of realization and broke through the formation.

Tai Wu discovered that the move Li Xiaoyao used was Jiu Jian Xian's Myriad Sword Technique and asked for the reason, but Li Xiaoyao did not reply. A moment later, both sides were wounded. Li Xiaoyao fainted. Zhao Ling'er unleashed the power of her Divine race, defeating Tai Wu once again. Zhao Ling'er knew that a stalemate was not a solution, so she agreed to return to Shushan with Tai Wu, but on the condition that they spare Li Xiaoyao.

She then ordered Xiao Shi Tou to use the Jade Buddha Formation to make Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru forget her. Upon returning to Shushan, Dugu Sword Saint asked if Li Xiaoyao was a disciple of Jiu Jian Xian. Tai Wu replied that he might have received guidance from Jiu Jian Xian. Regarding the killer of Taoist Mu, Tai Wu could not be certain, but based on observations at the scene, it should not have been Bao Pu.

Zhao Ling'er was locked in the Demon Locking Tower and ordered the little phoenix to also leave her. Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru woke up, their injuries healed. Both felt as though they had lost something. They checked carefully and the Spirit Pearl was still in their hands. Li Xiaoyao vaguely remembered clashing with the Shushan Sect and being injured, but he could not recall how he had completely recovered.

Tang Yu decided to leave because his body could no longer protect A Nu. Sacred Aunt stated that leaving wouldn't change anything. Bao Pu intercepted Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru, using Purple Poppy Poison to confuse them, intending to seize the Spirit Pearl. However, even poisoned, Li Xiaoyao could easily defeat Bao Pu, so he began to think of ways to make himself stronger.

He suddenly thought of Zhen Yu Ming Wang, whom even Dugu Sword Saint feared to some extent, and decided to seek his help. Zhen Yu Ming Wang guarded the Demon Locking Tower. Bao Pu offered the Wind Spirit Pearl and requested to become Zhen Yu Ming Wang's disciple. Zhen Yu Ming Wang accepted the Wind Spirit Pearl and imparted magic power to Bao Pu. Bao Pu's appearance instantly changed.
