A year later, Ling Long's performance had suffered. Despite hiring a new Design Director, Zhang Yang, the design team at Ling Long fiercely resisted him. They gave him a harsh reception, and Zhang Yang, intimidated by the eccentric team, fled, telling Huo Ruiyong to find someone else as he couldn't handle the job. Li Weiwei and Chen Yidu, arriving at the hospital, finally learned from Secretary Wang about Huo Xiao's secret investigation into Mo Fan and realized they had gravely misunderstood him. Mo Fan, repeatedly questioned as a suspect, remained silent and ordered Kang Xing to permanently silence Huo Xiao before he could awaken and testify.
