A boutique store owner, whose business had ordered wedding dresses from D. U. Corporation, accused Chen Yidu's company of selling poisonous wedding dresses and demanded compensation, claiming the scandal had severely impacted his sales. Chen Yidu vehemently denied the accusations, assuring him of his products' quality and offering his personal reputation as a guarantee. However, the owner remained insistent.

Mo Fan unexpectedly arrived and sharply pointed out that the boutique owner's business was facing bankruptcy due to funding issues and he was desperate for money. As the CEO of Qizhi Investment and Chen Yidu's brother, Mo Fan then informed the owner that his advanced dress rental financial plan had been completely rejected. Chen Yidu thanked his brother for handling the situation, and they decided to go for a drink.

As Chen Yidu was driving, he abruptly braked to avoid a pedestrian, which caused Mo Fan to become agitated, scolding him to be more careful and warning him about the dangers of reckless driving. Chen Yidu was surprised by his brother's reaction. Meanwhile, Li Weiwei asked Huo Xiao to accompany her to meet Na Tie, the woman who was protesting D. U. Corporation, hoping to persuade her to reconcile with Chen Yidu.

Unbeknownst to them, Chen Yidu and Mo Fan were at the same bar. Seeing Li Weiwei sitting with Na Tie from a distance solidified Mo Fan's suspicion that Li Weiwei was manipulating the situation. Chen Yidu later brought Na Tie to D. U. Corporation and offered her a large check, explaining it was a gesture of sympathy for her misfortune, not an admission of guilt. He clarified that D. U.'

s wedding dress materials were safe and free of any poisonous fabrics. He warned Na Tie that if she continued to ignore the facts and spread rumors, he would initiate legal action for defamation. Na Tie, however, tore up the check, declaring that she did not want his "stupid money" but rather wanted to ruin his reputation. Later, Jenny, after an evening of drinking with Ou Ye and others, developed rashes all over her body due to an alcohol allergy.

Li Weiwei observed Jenny's symptoms and, realizing the significance, cheerfully granted Jenny half a day off, praising her for inadvertently providing a crucial clue. Li Weiwei then arranged to meet Na Tie again. This time, instead of talking, she offered Na Tie tiramisu. Na Tie unknowingly consumed the tiramisu, which contained rum. Soon, tiny rashes appeared on her skin, and she realized she had been tricked by Li Weiwei.

Li Weiwei confronted Na Tie, demanding to know why she had falsely accused D. U. Corporation of using poisonous fabric when she clearly knew her allergic reaction was due to alcohol. Li Weiwei gave Na Tie one day to expose the truth and apologize to D. U. , threatening to publicize the real reason behind Na Tie's rashes if she refused.

Mo Fan visited the cemetery, laying flowers at the graves of his parents, who had died in a car crash twenty-six years prior. He reflected on fulfilling all his promises to them, achieving countless first places, and traveling the world, but lamented that he remained all alone.

The incident with Na Tie, combined with earlier conversations, led Chen Yidu to believe Mo Fan's assertions that Li Weiwei was behind the poisonous wedding dress scandal, making him feel that he had misjudged her once again. Kang Xing sought out Mo Fan, taking credit for widening the rift between Chen Yidu and Li Weiwei, confident that reconciliation between them was now impossible.

He had previously expressed concern to Mo Fan about Li Weiwei's memory of France and the easing tension between her and Chen Yidu, to which Mo Fan had responded that it was time to create trouble between them. Online rumors then surfaced, alleging that D. U. Corporation had previously procured poisonous fabric five years ago. This information was known only to Chen Yidu, his secretary Cao Zhong, Tiffany, and Li Weiwei.

This revelation further eroded Chen Yidu's trust, making it impossible for him to defend Li Weiwei. He called Li Weiwei and invited her to dinner, specifically telling her to dress beautifully. Chen Yidu drove Li Weiwei to a secluded, scenic spot outside the city. Li Weiwei, thinking it was a romantic gesture to watch the sunset, was instead met with Chen Yidu's bitter sarcasm.

He accused her of being a manipulative actress, claiming that despite their rivalry over the years, he had always held back at crucial moments because of his love for her, only for her to repeatedly betray him. Li Weiwei, unable to recall the past due to her amnesia, could not defend herself. Chen Yidu confessed his utter defeat and declared that he wished for no further interaction with her, leaving her stranded in the remote location.

Li Weiwei, left helpless and alone, began the long, difficult walk back in her high heels and without food. Meanwhile, Huo Xiao anxiously waited at her home, trying to call Chen Yidu, whose phone was off. After walking through the night, a physically and emotionally exhausted Li Weiwei finally reached Chen Yidu's house, still demanding an apology from him. As Chen Yidu was closing the door, he saw her collapse.

Unable to harden his heart, he carried her inside to care for her. Upon regaining consciousness, Li Weiwei questioned why he would care for her if he hated her so much. Chen Yidu, still believing she was acting, told her to stop pretending and leave. It was then that Li Weiwei finally revealed to Chen Yidu that she had lost her memory.
