Hua Zhen did not tell Chen Hao the truth about disguising himself to infiltrate the police station, but Chen Hao's efforts to save him in the French Concession earned Hua Zhen's trust. Next came the interrogation, and Chen Hao actively applied to participate. During the interrogation, the kidnapper downplayed his actions, only confessing to kidnapping women. When Hua Zhen questioned him about whether he had been to the Wen Hua Hotel that day, the kidnapper's expression changed drastically.

At first, he denied it, but as Hua Zhen pressed further, the kidnapper, seeing that he couldn't hide it, began to confess. He happened to see Hua Zhen walking into the office, so he hid quietly and listened to the conversation between Hua Zhen and Shi Junyu. On the way home, Hua Zhen first noticed Chen Hao following him, reminding Chen Hao not to interfere with his personal space during off-duty hours, and then unceremoniously left.

Yesterday, he received a notice that the current police team was in the process of being disbanded, so Hua Zhen and Chen Hao were not currently in a superior-subordinate relationship. Chen Hao felt that this person was becoming more and more mysterious. Hua Zhen brought bread to Meng Duo Ci. Just two minutes after arriving home, there was a knock on the door. Meng Duo Ci ran out upon hearing Shi Junyu's voice, calling Shi Junyu "Teacher Meng". Shi Junyu hoped to talk to Meng Duo Ci, and Hua Zhen, seeing that the two seemed to have a close relationship, agreed. Meng Duo Ci told Shi Junyu the whole process of Hua Zhen helping her, and also mentioned Hua Zhen changing his false identity.
