Cheng Liao and Sheng Jingchu enjoyed their time in the quiet suburban town where Sheng Jingchu's parents once lived. Cheng Liao began to roast sweet potatoes over a fire, but Sheng Jingchu, concerned about her precious hands, insisted on taking over, noting it was his first time making barbecue. He then asked Cheng Liao to taste his creation, warning her it was hot.

Cheng Liao found the sweet potatoes delicious and expressed her fondness for the place, to which Sheng Jingchu suggested they could return often. Later, as Sheng Jingchu went to get water, he directed Cheng Liao to a brown cupboard next to a white porcelain jar in the kitchen, explaining his assistant Qi usually stored water there. Cheng Liao, surprised, asked if he could see colors.

Sheng Jingchu explained that white had no grayscale, so he could identify the porcelain jar, and he remembered the cupboard's color from his childhood home. He recounted that after his parents passed away, nothing in the house was moved, and he vividly remembered all the decorations and the placement of objects, claiming he could still see them even with his eyes closed. This prompted Cheng Liao to share her own memories of her mother, who often watched stars with her.

She pointed out Orion’s Belt and Sirius, then described how her mother told her about a rose nebula, a "rose blooming in the night sky" where new stars are born, located between Sirius and Orion. Cheng Liao, feeling a deep connection, decided to dedicate this rose nebula to Sheng Jingchu, believing his parents, like her own mother, had become the most beautiful stars, guarding them from the cosmos.

Later, Sheng Jingchu revealed he also had a gift for Cheng Liao, one he had prepared a long time ago but needed time to engrave. When she tried to guess the letters, suggesting things like "Centimeter" or "Adorkable," he playfully corrected her, saying it was "Greedy Cat." Cheng Liao playfully retorted that it was "Liao Liao" and let him put the necklace on her. He then asked if it was nice, and she confirmed it was.

He clarified that he wasn't asking about the necklace but about her, admitting he pursued her because he found her beautiful. Meanwhile, Cheng Feng Shou called Cheng Liao, anxiously asking if she and Sheng Jingchu were staying in separate rooms, advising her as a girl to protect herself despite approving of her relationship. Cheng Yi overheard and, frustrated by her father's meddling, confiscated his phone.

She reassured Cheng Liao that no one would bother them, promising to protect her sister's love. After the call, Cheng Liao went to Sheng Jingchu, jokingly relaying her father's warning for boys to protect themselves from female fans, especially in a remote area, "or it could be bad." Sheng Jingchu, amused, teased her about being ready for bed but not having changed, offering to help.

Cheng Liao quickly insisted he could change himself and, turning off the light, claimed she'd accidentally hit the switch to "liven up the mood" before promptly saying goodnight and retreating to her room. At a work meeting, Cheng Yi proposed a new program, "Chef Championship," aimed at discovering culinary talents from the public. She argued that food culture originates from ordinary people, and such a show would inspire more people to love cooking.

While Lisa suggested promoting celebrity chefs or a global competition featuring chefs from around the world, Cheng Yi countered that a global competition would incur unnecessary costs and betray the program's original intent. She emphasized the richness of Chinese culinary culture, which spans thousands of years and boasts diverse regional flavors, making a search abroad unnecessary. She cited a friend who, despite traveling the world, still preferred Chinese food, noting that Chinese cuisine and Mandarin were global trends.

The director, agreeing with Cheng Yi's vision and dismissing Lisa's earlier, off-topic suggestions, rejected Lisa's bid to host the show. He then invited Cheng Yi to proceed with her ideas. Later, as Xu Chi escorted Cheng Yi to the newly rented, unorganized venue for her stage, the elevator suddenly malfunctioned, plunging them into darkness. Cheng Yi, who suffered from claustrophobia, became visibly distressed.

Xu Chi quickly comforted her, telling her not to be afraid and assuring her he was there, while also trying to get help. Once the power returned and the elevator doors opened, he helped her out, reminding her to walk slowly. He expressed surprise at her claustrophobia, having known her for almost two decades. Cheng Yi brushed it off as a childhood incident, claiming it was unlikely to affect her given the rarity of elevator breakdowns.

Xu Chi then showed her the stage he had prepared. Cheng Yi reminisced about her childhood, when she used to dance and Xu Chi would wait for her after school. She recalled practicing intensely, leading to a leg injury that still bothered her on rainy days. Seizing the moment, Xu Chi invited her to dance, and Cheng Yi, in a good mood, accepted. However, when Xu Chi tried to kiss her mid-dance, Cheng Yi pulled away, clearly uncomfortable.

To ease the awkwardness, Xu Chi quickly excused himself to buy water. As he left, Lisa, who had been secretly watching, seized the opportunity to lock the studio door and shut off the main power switch, trapping Cheng Yi inside. Panicked in the dark, Cheng Yi called out for Xu Chi. He rushed back, heard her cries, and reassured her he would get her out.

He hurried to find an axe, broke the lock, and immediately embraced a terrified, tearful Cheng Yi on the floor. Back at the town, Cheng Liao woke up to Sheng Jingchu bringing her hot water, promising to make her lunch. She noticed a Rubik's Cube, commenting on her inability to ever solve one. Sheng Jingchu then experienced a rare moment of seeing the Rubik's Cube in full color.

He quickly asked Cheng Liao to retrieve a nearby vase, which also appeared in color for a moment before reverting to black and white. He explained that he became colorblind after his parents' car accident due to a lack of warmth in his life, but now, with Cheng Liao, he occasionally perceived colors when she was around. He also asked her not to leave him.

Sheng Jingchu then took Cheng Liao to his parents' gravesite, a location his master had chosen for them. He shared that his parents were university teachers—his mother a math professor, his father a music professor—explaining that he inherited his intelligence and exceptional memory from his mother, and his talent for singing from his father, as both were not particularly talkative. He recounted his parents' wish for him to attend their university so they could commute together as a family.

At the graves, Sheng Jingchu introduced Cheng Liao to his deceased parents, expressing how beautiful and cute she was, and how well she took care of him. He assured them he was happy and they no longer needed to worry. Cheng Liao, in turn, greeted them and, downplaying Sheng Jingchu's compliments, promised to care for him well, even joking about "feeding him like a big panda, white and fat."

Sheng Jingchu offered her privacy to speak to his parents, but she insisted he didn't need to leave. After she left, Sheng Jingchu spoke to his parents, thanking them for bringing Cheng Liao into his life. He revealed that he first met her on the day they passed, calling her "the most beautiful color in my eyes," and vowed his profound love and eternal commitment to her.

Cheng Liao later teased him for shedding tears, humorously calling it his "eyes drooling." He confirmed he was very happy and believed his parents would be happy for them. She then teased him again, saying she heard his heart saying he would love her forever. Later, at home, Cheng Feng Shou was watching TV and expressed concern about Cheng Liao's late return, wondering if she was stuck in traffic and offering to make her dinner.

Cheng Yi reminded him that Sheng Jingchu would surely take care of her, as Cheng Liao now had a boyfriend. Cheng Feng Shou then shifted his attention to Cheng Yi's own relationship status, lamenting that she carried all her burdens alone. He questioned her pursuit of success, asking when it would end and what true success even meant.

Cheng Yi dismissed his comments as "weird," but Cheng Feng Shou persisted, asking if she felt something was missing, comparing her single status to Cheng Liao's relationship. He suggested having someone to share joy and vent frustrations with, even showing her a picture of her and Xu Chi, declaring them a perfect match.

Cheng Yi firmly addressed her father as "Comrade Cheng Feng Shou," explaining that she pursued excellence in her work, not success, and would welcome a suitable partner but emphatically stated that person "will never be Xu Chi." Cheng Feng Shou, unconvinced, argued that relationships required "conversation between souls," which Cheng Yi dismissed as superstition before walking away, declaring she couldn't have a conversation with him either. Finally, Sheng Jingchu and Cheng Liao arrived back at her house.

As Sheng Jingchu prepared to leave, he leaned in for a farewell kiss at the doorway. Caught off guard, Cheng Feng Shou, who was also at the door, quickly turned around and bumped his head on the door frame. Cheng Liao immediately urged Sheng Jingchu to help her dad inside. Cheng Feng Shou dramatically complained about the pain, accusing them of trying to "kill their own father." Both Cheng Liao and Sheng Jingchu helped the protesting Cheng Feng Shou into the house.
