Go Into Your Heart Episode 15 Recap
> Go Into Your Heart Recap
Sheng Jingchu expressed his deep feelings for Cheng Liao, telling her that every moment he spends with her passes too quickly, and he wants to be with her constantly, to be closer and know her better. He admitted he's a boring person and far from perfect, but he has a lifetime to become the best version of himself for her, even if he never becomes exactly what she imagines.
He asserted that he had never been in love before but was now certain he liked her and wanted to be with her. Cheng Liao was caught off guard, stating she hadn't anticipated such a conversation and was unprepared. She asked for some time to consider her answer, to which Sheng Jingchu responded that he would wait for her, offering her a candy. Back home, Cheng Liao worried about her decision.
She feared that accepting Sheng Jingchu's proposal too quickly would make her appear frivolous, yet she was also concerned about making him angry. She admitted to herself that she didn't know him well enough to accept his offer right away. Xiao Yan, noticing Cheng Liao's emotional distress, offered advice. She told Cheng Liao that if she liked him, she should pursue him, and if not, she should clearly refuse.
Cheng Liao confided that she was unsure if she truly liked Sheng Jingchu and felt it would be irresponsible to both of them to agree without certainty. She spoke of the significant gap she perceived between them, especially with him being a "Legend," and how his confession had left her speechless, making it hard to believe it was real. Having never been in love, she questioned if her feelings were genuine.
Xiao Yan then suggested that to understand her feelings, Cheng Liao should start seeing Sheng Jingchu more frequently, even three times a day. Sheng Jingchu waited anxiously for Cheng Liao's response, but when none came, he tried to call Cao Xihe to play Go, only to find his phone off. The next morning, Cao Xihe was telling Yao Ke how glad he was to have turned off his phone to avoid an all-night Go session with a moody Sheng Jingchu.
Suddenly, Sheng Jingchu appeared, demanding to play. Cao Xihe, knowing this meant Sheng Jingchu was upset, reluctantly played multiple rounds. When Cao Xihe tried to get Yao Ke to join, Sheng Jingchu remained unresponsive. Cao Xihe then took Sheng Jingchu for a walk, leaving Yao Ke to analyze their games. Meanwhile, Zhao Yeon Hoon encountered Ding Lan practicing Go.
Ding Lan, excited to see her idol, asked him to practice with her, arguing that human interaction brings warmth to Go, unlike playing against AI. Zhao Yeon Hoon agreed to a game. Sheng Jingchu expressed his frustration to Cao Xihe, wondering if Cheng Liao truly liked him, as he felt she had rejected him despite her apparent concern. At that moment, Jiang Yuda dramatically scaled a wall to enter.
A security guard attempted to apprehend Jiang Yuda for trespassing, but Sheng Jingchu intervened on his behalf. Jiang Yuda seized the opportunity to fervently ask Sheng Jingchu to accept him as an apprentice, revealing he worked three jobs to fund his Go studies. Later, Cheng Liao sought out her sister, Cheng Yi, for guidance on discerning true feelings. Cheng Yi explained that liking someone starts with a heart-pounding sensation and mutual understanding.
Cheng Liao confessed her confusion, admitting she hesitated to reject Sheng Jingchu because she felt sad seeing his disappointment, which led to sleepless nights and distraction at work. Cheng Yi reassured her that her cautious approach was responsible. More importantly, Cheng Yi pointed out that Cheng Liao's sadness and concern for Sheng Jingchu indicated she did indeed like him, urging her to be brave, approach him, and get to know him better, as happiness might be within reach.
Jiang Yuda, now privy to Sheng Jingchu's feelings for Cheng Liao, advised him to be assertive and express his love, as people cannot read minds. Cao Xihe, interjecting, highlighted that Sheng Jingchu had expressed his feelings but was rejected. Jiang Yuda insisted on perseverance, urging Sheng Jingchu to be bold in his actions and words. However, Cao Xihe countered with his own experience of trying everything, including makeovers and changing his temperament, to win over Ding Lan, yet failing.
He concluded that there's no secret formula to love, and what one person believes to be a solution may not work for another. Meanwhile, Cheng Liao reflected on her sister's words, particularly the idea that her sadness for Sheng Jingchu indicated her feelings. She decided she didn't want to miss a potentially fated relationship. As she looked through Sheng Jingchu's online profile, she found her affection for him growing.
The next morning, Sheng Jingchu, Cao Xihe, and Jiang Yuda woke up to find that Sheng Jingchu, in his drunken state, had sent numerous voice messages to Cheng Liao. These messages detailed his loneliness, his perception of flowers as colorless without her, and his sudden craving for her cooking. While Sheng Jingchu was embarrassed by his actions, Jiang Yuda lightheartedly dismissed them as merely proof of his phone's battery life.
Cheng Liao had spent the night happily listening to them and arrived with hangover soup. Cao Xihe and Jiang Yuda quickly excused themselves to give the pair privacy. Sheng Jingchu, suffering from a headache, received a massage from Cheng Liao, who playfully claimed to be a "professional hangover expert" from years of helping her father and sister. Sheng Jingchu felt a mix of happiness and awkwardness, wondering if she would mock his drunken confession.
Meanwhile, Jiang Yuda continued to inquire about becoming Sheng Jingchu's apprentice. Cao Xihe advised him that to win over Sheng Jingchu, he first needed to win over Cheng Liao. Cao Xihe suggested a strategy: visit Mr. Cheng's Restaurant. Following Cao Xihe's advice, Jiang Yuda went to Mr. Cheng's Restaurant, initially asking for a job. When told there were no openings, he strategically ordered every signature dish on the menu.
After finishing, he claimed to have no money, offering to work there to pay off his considerable bill. Although Mr. Cheng initially offered to let him off, he was wary of someone trying to get a free meal. Jiang Yuda then put on a dramatic display of misery, which deeply moved Mr. Cheng. Feeling sympathetic, Mr. Cheng offered Jiang Yuda a job with food, shelter, and a monthly salary.
Jiang Yuda immediately started working, first by doing dishes, and then by running errands, taking a shopping list and Mr. Cheng's keys, assured that mentioning Mr. Cheng's name would get him discounts.
