Perfect and Casual Episode 7 Recap
> Perfect and Casual Recap
On her way back to the neighborhood, Yun Shu saw a piece of chalk left on the ground and was reminded of the scene where they rehearsed their wedding. After much consideration, she decided to confess everything to Zhang Sinian. Upon hearing the truth, Zhang Sinian expressed that he would respect any decision Yun Shu made. Because of her grandfather’s condition, Yun Shu felt she needed more time to think things through.
Zhang Sinian gave her ample time, telling her that she could give him her final decision the day before the wedding. If she really wanted to call it off, he would then think about how to explain it to others. That night, Yun Shu hid alone in the study. She thought about how much Zhang Sinian had helped her recently. If her grandfather were to find out about the contract marriage, it would most likely worsen his condition.
Torn between her grandfather and her sister, Yun Shu didn’t want to give up on either. She decided to talk to Yun Lan again, but Yun Lan outright refused to allow her to proceed with the contract marriage with Zhang Sinian, even threatening to sever their sisterly bond. After returning to Zhang Sinian’s house, Yun Shu received a call from Grandpa Zhang, asking what color dress she had chosen for the wedding.
Before she could hang up, Yun Lan called and urged her to move her luggage to her place immediately. The next day, when Zhang Sinian found Yun Shu missing, he knocked on Yun Lan’s door to ask if Yun Shu was there. Ever since discovering the contract marriage, Yun Lan had shown no courtesy toward Zhang Sinian. She declared that she would take full responsibility for handling the annulment of the contract marriage.
Zhang Sinian informed Yun Lan that Yun Shu had run away from home and taken 5,000 yuan with her. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Yun Lan immediately called Gao Zhiyi to ask about Yun Shu’s whereabouts. Lin Nuo was also helping at the hospital to look for Yun Shu, but there were no leads. After Zhang Sinian and Yun Shu returned home, they searched for clues about where Yun Shu might have gone.
Eventually, Zhang Sinian found a sketch of a chapel Yun Shu had drawn and thrown in the trash. Yun Lan recognized it immediately and told Zhang Sinian that it was the place their father used to take them when they went to the beach as children. Sure enough, they found Yun Shu by the seaside. Realizing that Yun Shu had always been thinking for his sake, Zhang Sinian decided to cancel the wedding.
He told Yun Lan that from the beginning, the decision to go through with the wedding had always belonged to Yun Shu. Zhang Sinian’s decision changed Yun Lan’s opinion of him—he wasn’t as bad as she had imagined. Yun Shu spoke of their childhood. Back then, she had promised herself she would protect Yun Lan from being bullied—and she truly had done so. After reluctantly bidding farewell to Zhang Sinian, Yun Shu went home with Yun Lan.
Back at home, Zhang Sinian helped pack Yun Shu’s things. Realizing Yun Shu’s hidden thoughts, he also found himself reluctant to let her go. When Yun Shu was talking with Yun Lan, she asked her sister what marriage truly meant and confessed she wanted to go back to Zhang Sinian. Yun Lan didn’t agree with her decision but didn’t strongly oppose it either. Zhang Sinian arrived at the hospital where Grandpa Zhang was watching a royal wedding drama.
Just as Zhang Sinian was about to tell him that the wedding was canceled, Yun Shu entered the room and announced that the wedding would proceed as planned. Zhang Sinian, deeply touched by her decision, was overwhelmed with gratitude. He changed the wedding venue to the seaside chapel that Yun Shu had always dreamed of.
Gao Zhiyi and Lin Nuo, upon learning of this turn of events, felt like it was all too surreal—running away and then getting married, just like in a TV drama. When Lin Nuo saw Zhang Sinian, he immediately greeted him as “brother-in-law,” leaving Zhang Sinian baffled. Lu Yu became agitated upon learning that the bridesmaid hadn’t shown up. When Zhang Sinian saw Yun Shu in her wedding dress, he was stunned by her beauty.
In the end, Yun Lan showed up at Yun Shu’s wedding and personally placed the necklace she had bought around Yun Shu’s neck. She later pulled Lu Yu aside for a private talk, saying that after a background check, she would temporarily allow her sister to marry him. However, if Zhang Sinian ever made her sister unhappy within a year, she promised she would make sure he’d never be able to marry anyone for the rest of his life.
After hearing that, Zhang Sinian vowed on his honor that within the bounds of their contract, Yun Shu was his wife and he would protect her well. When Lu Yu saw Yun Lan, he eagerly stepped forward to greet her, but Yun Lan told him to keep his distance—Lu Yu, however, had no intention of backing off.
With her arm around Zhang Sinian’s, Yun Shu accepted the heartfelt blessings of their family and friends and walked step by step toward the wedding altar. Under the witness of their loved ones, the two exchanged vows and rings. When it came time for the kiss, Yun Shu took the initiative to kiss Zhang Sinian. The unexpected move left everyone stunned—except for Grandpa, who couldn’t stop grinning with joy.
