Zhang Sinian clearly explained to Yun Shu that their marriage was a contractual one. Yun Shu didn’t want to accept the house Zhang Sinian offered because of it, but Zhang Sinian insisted it was part of the arrangement. In the end, Yun Shu couldn’t argue her way out and signed the marriage contract. Both Zhang Sinian and Yun Shu decided not to hold a wedding ceremony, but Grandpa Zhang strongly objected.
Eventually, because of his grandfather, Zhang Sinian changed his mind at the last minute and decided they would have a wedding. On the way, Zhang Sinian informed Yun Shu of his decision, saying that holding a wedding would minimize losses for both of them and keep Grandpa from becoming suspicious of their relationship. He decided the wedding would be held next weekend and told Yun Shu to find a wedding planning company.
Zhang Sinian seemed to have everything arranged, leaving Yun Shu with no chance to speak. She felt torn about how to tell her older sister about her decision. Yun Shu informed Yun Lan about the wedding. Though Yun Lan felt it was a bit rushed, she still respected Yun Shu’s decision and insisted on being the maid of honor, which finally put Yun Shu at ease.
After getting overwhelmed picking out wedding planners, Yun Shu asked Zhang Sinian to help choose. Unexpectedly, Zhang Sinian accidentally touched Yun Shu’s hand, and both of them felt a strange electric jolt. To stick to the spirit of their contract, Zhang Sinian fined himself and dropped the money into a jar, leaving Yun Shu bewildered and stressed out in front of the wedding planning company. Yun Shu went to the wedding planner to discuss the arrangements.
She had always longed for true love and remembered her childhood dream of getting married in a church. But because of Zhang Sinian, she considered a simpler wedding. For the rehearsal, Yun Shu specifically called her sister Yun Lan to join. Zhang Sinian invited his groomsman, Lu Yu. Unexpectedly, Lu Yu and Yun Lan had a one-night stand overseas in the past.
Yun Lan became extremely nervous and embarrassed upon seeing Lu Yu, quickly finding an excuse to go redo her makeup. Meanwhile, Yun Shu was delighted to meet the celebrity Lu Yu. Upon meeting Yun Shu in person, Lu Yu found her extremely amusing. After learning she had an older sister, he seemed even more intrigued. Yun Lan found an excuse to leave early but asked Yun Shu to let her review the wedding schedule.
In her panic, Yun Shu accidentally handed over the marriage contract to her sister. Yun Shu then suggested they remove the daily contact clause from the contract, since she was too clumsy. Zhang Sinian took Yun Shu downstairs to rehearse for the wedding. His actions flustered Yun Shu, and when it came time for the kiss segment, Zhang Sinian planned to fake it at a thirty-degree angle to fool his grandfather.
But as the two of them slowly moved closer, a subtle tension began to rise between them. Yun Lan called Yun Shu to her place and gave her a fierce scolding. She also learned the house originally belonged to Zhang Sinian.
Upon hearing that Yun Shu had been deceived by their cousin Huo Qi, Yun Lan was furious and wanted to call the police, but Yun Shu stopped her—after all, he was her cousin, and they couldn’t really send him to jail. Yun Lan insisted that Yun Shu cancel the wedding immediately.
