When Mu Ziyun invited him to stay for dinner, he cut through her pretense, questioning the need for theatrics between just the two of them. Mu Ziyun feigned innocence, while Yu Guanghua scolded Yu Zhi for his lack of care. Mu Ziyun then adopted a magnanimous air, telling Yu Zhi to direct his anger at her rather than his father. Frustrated, Yu Zhi turned and left.
Yu Guanghua, as ever, flattered Mu Ziyun, seeking money for his lavish lifestyle. Mu Ziyun obliged, handing him a card but only after making him sign a debt transfer agreement, thereby subtly gaining control over him. Upon returning home, Yu Zhi found some solace in the comforting aroma of red braised pork. At a Rui Hua meeting, Gao Jie presented the factory's sample designs.
Yu Yi commented that they lacked the spirit of Gao Hui's creations, but Yu Zhi promptly defended Gao Jie. Just as Grandma was about to announce production, Gao Hui arrived with samples crafted by a European artisan based on her original designs, dramatically claiming sabotage had occurred. Upon hearing of Gao Hui's complaint, Mu Ziyun immediately dispatched staff to monitor the factory and placed a call to Master Wang.
Gao Jie, confident in the factory's capabilities, vouched for the samples' quality. However, Gao Hui proposed that the factory redo the samples under the guidance of the European artisan, a suggestion Grandma approved. Soon after, Master Wang inexplicably changed his tune, stating that the samples could indeed be produced and shifting the blame onto Gao Jie, despite having previously highlighted issues with the original design. Consequently, Gao Jie was asked to await further instructions regarding her situation.
Gao Hai took Pan Yue to see a doctor who explained that Pan Yue's condition was primarily psychological and would require expensive treatment. Gao Hai insisted on sparing no expense to cure her, even phoning a Director Wang to find the best brain neurologist, and asked both Pan Yue and the nurse to keep his involvement a secret from Gao Jie.
Later, Gao Hai visited Gao Hui, who was feigning illness and complaining that Gao Jie had caused her trouble at Rui Hua. Gao Hai then went to see Gao Jie, bringing soup and attempting to broker peace between the sisters. Gao Jie, however, angrily rejected his efforts, accusing him and Gao Hui of distorting the truth and ruining her life.
Meanwhile, Chen Pinzhen found herself disheartened by work after a botched attempt at insurance fraud, where her client genuinely faced misfortune. Yan Kai suggested she try copywriting as a more fulfilling path. Gao Hui revelled in Gao Jie's professional setback, but Wu Xiaoci felt it wasn't a complete enough defeat and decided to intervene personally.
Mu Ziyun, reflecting on the situation, expressed regret that Gao Jie had become entangled in Rui Hua's internal power struggles, acknowledging that her original intention was merely to inconvenience Yu Zhi and Yu Yi. She concluded that Gao Jie leaving Rui Hua might ultimately be beneficial for all parties involved. Gao Jie was distraught, pondering the day's events. Yu Zhi comforted her, and she confided that her confidence had been shaken after the European artisan validated Gao Hui's designs.
Yu Zhi, however, assured her that the true target of the recent machinations was himself and Yu Yi, not Gao Jie or Gao Hui. Gao Jie felt guilty for continually keeping secrets from him. To celebrate their 100-day anniversary, Gao Jie gifted Yu Zhi custom-made moonstone cufflinks, symbolizing a full and complete life.
Yu Zhi then surprised Gao Jie by taking her to their rock-climbing spot, where he retrieved a bag containing her "Ordinary Love" necklace, which he had bought back from the overseas buyer. He passionately expressed his unwavering love, telling her his life would only be complete with her by his side, and vowing to always be there for her. Wu Xiaoci paid a visit to Grandma, subtly implying that Gao Jie was a manipulative individual skilled in company infighting.
Grandma indicated she would investigate the allegations. Yu Yi advised Yu Zhi to remain composed when Grandma announced her decision, expressing sympathy for Gao Jie and suggesting that Mu Ziyun was the true orchestrator of their troubles. Yu Zhi, in turn, wondered if Yu Yi's unwavering support for Gao Hui was truly heartfelt. At the company, amidst hushed whispers, Gao Hui delivered sarcastic remarks to Gao Jie.
Yu Zhi then delivered Grandma's official decision: Gao Jie was being transferred to the Rui Hua Customization Team, a department widely considered a "retirement" post, effectively forcing her resignation. As Gao Jie gathered her belongings, Gao Hui provocatively approached her. Gao Jie, with newfound confidence, retaliated by contrasting their motivations: Gao Hui pursued jewellery design for the spotlight and applause, while Gao Jie dedicated herself to true artistry, even risking her life in the rainforest for it.
Gao Jie declared that she would be the one to shatter Gao Hui's sheltered existence, reminding her that no one can stay in a "honey pot" forever. Yu Zhi took Gao Jie home and apologized for his failure as her boyfriend, acknowledging his role in her demotion. Gao Jie, emotional and heartbroken, confessed her naivety in believing she had allies at Rui Hua.
Driven by anger, Gao Jie arranged a meeting with CEO Ju, bringing what she presented as Gao Hui's design. CEO Ju harshly criticized the piece, unaware it was Gao Jie's own work. Gao Jie, refusing to expose Wu Xiaoci or betray Rui Hua, vowed to use her own abilities to reclaim what was rightfully hers.
Yu Guanghua’s financial irresponsibility was highlighted when he struggled to pay a restaurant bill, forcing Yu Zhi to step in and cover it, which led to a heated argument where Yu Zhi blamed his father for his mother's suicide. Soon after, Mu Ziyun confronted Yu Guanghua with a lawyer's letter, revealing he had secretly signed a problematic purchase contract that led to a lawsuit against Rui Hua. Yu Guanghua's casual attitude escalated the argument, catching Grandma's attention.
Yu Zhi, called home, realized the contract was instigated by a woman Yu Guanghua was seeing. When Yu Zhi declared Rui Hua would not honor the contract, threatening Yu Guanghua with jail, Mu Ziyun intensified the pressure by producing photos of Yu Guanghua and the woman, hinting at potential rape charges if the contract wasn't settled. Overwhelmed, Grandma fainted and was hospitalized. Yu Guanghua desperately sought help from Grandma, Mu Ziyun, and Yu Zhi, but was rebuffed.
Meanwhile, Yu Zhi attempted to resolve Yu Guanghua's problematic purchase contract with Director Zhang. Director Zhang remained uncompromising, demanding payment and unfazed by Yu Zhi's threats, making it clear he would pursue legal action if necessary. Despite Yu Zhi's diligent efforts, Mu Ziyun once again intervened, successfully negotiating and signing a new contract with Director Zhang that resolved the lawsuit against Rui Hua. Grandma, greatly relieved, praised Mu Ziyun for her competence and loyalty, leaving Yu Zhi defeated and frustrated by Mu Ziyun's continuous outmaneuvering.
