Zhao Mosheng managed to find the original photographs that proved Shaomei's scandalous pictures had been doctored. She immediately tried to call Shaomei, but the phone was off. Frustrated, Mosheng then called He Yichen, who informed her that Shaomei was currently at his law firm. Mosheng entrusted Lu Yuanfeng with the task of professionally analyzing and publishing the original photos online, believing this would help sway public opinion. She then rushed to Yichen's office with the physical copies of the photos.

Shaomei's agent was thrilled to receive the evidence, confident that it would clear Shaomei's name. Considering Shaomei's career required maintaining good relationships with the media, Yichen advised them to only sue Appreciation Magazine, the first and most influential outlet to publish the fake photos, rather than all media outlets that had reprinted the unconfirmed news. Later, Mosheng comforted Shaomei, telling her, "Your happiness is the most important. Don't push yourself too much." Their previous misunderstandings were resolved.

Shaomei confessed how difficult her life in the entertainment industry had been. Inspired by Mosheng, Shaomei regained her resolve and instructed her agent to arrange a press conference for the next day, determined to publicly expose those who had slandered her. As Mosheng prepared to leave the law firm, Yichen offered to drive her home. She declined, mentioning that a bus from the firm's entrance went directly to her apartment. Yichen didn't insist, and Mosheng boarded the bus.

During the ride, she reminisced about her sweet past with Yichen, becoming so lost in thought that she missed her stop and ended up at the terminal. Realizing she had taken the wrong bus, a disheartened Mosheng prepared to find another route when Yichen's car pulled up. He revealed he had seen her get on the wrong bus and followed her, playfully remarking that she was "still as dull as you were in college."

The press conference was held as planned, where Shaomei bravely confronted her detractors. Watching the event, Lu Yuanfeng commented on Shaomei's successful turnaround, expecting her to become even more assertive. Shortly after, the magazine editor happily announced that Shaomei's lawyer had called to inform them that the lawsuit against them had been dropped. Yichen also personally called Mosheng to give her the news.

The scandal, unexpectedly, propelled Shaomei's career to new heights; her agent even secured a lucrative seven-figure advertising contract for her. The agent suggested they should properly thank Zhao Mosheng for her crucial help. Shaomei called Mosheng to invite her for a thank-you dinner. During their conversation, Shaomei heard Yuanfeng's voice, jokingly referring to him as "a certain idiot." Mosheng defended Yuanfeng, explaining his significant role in helping to clear Shaomei's name, especially with the hot analysis post he wrote.

Impressed, Shaomei extended the dinner invitation to include Yuanfeng. Shaomei then called Yichen, who initially expressed reluctance to attend. However, upon hearing that Mosheng would be there, and that she would be bringing a male colleague, Yichen reconsidered and agreed to come. At the restaurant, Shaomei arrived fashionably late. Lu Yuanfeng recognized He Yichen as He Yimei's brother.

Yichen told Mosheng that since the case was closed, she no longer needed to formally call him "Lawyer He," implying a more familiar relationship. When Yuanfeng, surprised, asked if they knew each other, Yichen declared, "She's my ex," while Mosheng quickly clarified, "Schoolmate." As they tried to order, Shaomei and Yuanfeng resumed their bickering, which escalated into Shaomei accidentally knocking over a teapot, spilling hot water on her hand. This led them to the hospital.

Mosheng, concerned, wanted to stay with Shaomei, but Yichen subtly suggested that their presence might hinder Shaomei and Yuanfeng from resolving their differences. Following his advice, Mosheng and Yichen left the hospital. He Yichen's reputation as a desirable bachelor was well-known. Prosecutor Old Zhou called him, explaining that his wife was pressuring him to set Yichen up with her niece, who had recently returned from America. Yichen politely declined, stating that he already had a girlfriend. Old Zhou, however, didn't believe him, remarking that anyone could have a girlfriend except for Yichen.
