My Poseidon Episode 17 Recap

> My Poseidon Recap

Ye Hai readily lent his boat-in-a-bottle necklace to Ye Tian, despite Poseidon's implicit distrust of him. Ye Hai, however, believed his brother was his only family and saw no reason for suspicion. Later, Ye Hai spotted An Fei on the street and followed her, questioning whether his attraction stemmed from his own feelings or Poseidon's influence.

When An Fei felt someone following her, she took out her phone to call Ye Hai, but he suddenly appeared behind her and teased her, asking if she was afraid. Ye Hai informed An Fei that he would be performing with Lin Huayin the next day. He clarified that his participation wasn't for Lin Huayin, but rather a reflection on his past performances, which his family had never attended.

He then proposed a bet: if An Fei could walk home without turning around, regardless of what he said, he would lose. If he lost, he promised to let her go to Nan Hai without bothering her again. An Fei agreed. As they walked, Ye Hai's words tested her resolve, but she held firm until they reached her doorstep, where she instinctively turned around, losing the bet.

Despite this, An Fei declared she would still go to Nan Hai and wished Ye Hai success in his performance. That night, Ye Hai lingered outside An Fei's home, wanting to speak with her but ultimately deciding not to knock. Mo Liang called An Fei to discuss their upcoming trip to Nan Hai, scheduled for 6:30 PM the following day.

He outlined their initial work with geodetic experts and assigned An Fei the task of managing scientific research notes and complementary duties. An Fei seemed distracted, causing Mo Liang to playfully suggest she might not want to go. An Fei quickly denied it, claiming she was merely contemplating which swimwear to pack. Separately, An Fei saw a concert advertisement for Lin Huayin, dismissing it as overly theatrical.

The next day, Lin Huayin, dressed elegantly, prepared for her solo concert, attracting a flurry of media questions about her relationship with Ye Hai and even honeymoon plans. Lin Huayin stated that this year's concert held a "different meaning" for her, asserting that "everything is in my plan." Meanwhile, backstage, Ye Hai received a mysterious package. Inside, he found a stone and a crumpled note from An Fei, bearing the words "Conscienceless." Ye Hai chuckled at her unique "gift."

At the Nan Hai experiment base, An Fei sneezed while on the phone with Mo Liang, musing that someone might be cursing her. She confessed she was in a bad mood, her thoughts drifting to Ye Hai and Lin Huayin's performance. Upon arrival, Mo Liang helped An Fei with her belongings and detailed the rudimentary living conditions: a shared bathroom and numerous mosquitoes. Identifying herself as a research assistant, An Fei expressed her determination to overcome these challenges.

After the concert, Lin Huayin brought late-night snacks to Ye Hai's residence, but he promptly rejected her, reiterating that he was merely an accompanist and urging her to return to her party. He used Mo Liang's Nan Hai project as an excuse to usher both Lin Huayin and his brother, Ye Tian, out the door. Lin Huayin then left with Ye Tian. During their ride, they devolved into a heated argument.

Ye Tian accused Lin Huayin and other senior figures of isolating Ye Hai and orchestrating issues with the research project, specifically pointing to the return of the "problematic" Liao Lan to Mo Liang's lab as head of the technical center, which ultimately "pushed Mo Liang to Nan Hai." Lin Huayin countered that her father used her as a "bullet block" in a similar fashion.

Ye Hai's landlady, Aunt Zhang, questioned him about his seemingly complicated love life, asking if Lin Huayin was his girlfriend, which Ye Hai denied. Later, Poseidon appeared, cryptically warning Ye Hai to "not get hurt" because he was "tired." That night, Ye Hai was plagued by nightmares about Ye Tian borrowing the necklace, making him anxious about his brother's true intentions. He instructed Duan Xiche to discreetly investigate Ye Tian's whereabouts.

Ye Hai then suffered from a severe headache, which struck him again while dining at a restaurant. He attempted to consult Poseidon, but Poseidon was unresponsive. Duan Xiche later reported that Andrew had been sighted in the city. Unconcerned, Ye Hai declined guards, intending to capture Andrew himself. In Nan Hai, An Fei struggled with calculations, her mind constantly drifting to "Ye Da Hai," causing her to make errors.

She confided in Mo Liang her ambition to attend university after completing her work there. Later, while helping her, Mo Liang stared at her intently and got a sudden nosebleed, creating an awkward moment before he excused himself. Ye Hai tried to call An Fei, but her phone was unavailable. That evening, Mo Liang suggested they watch a movie in her room. He joked about his earlier nosebleed, assuring her he was fine.

An Fei chose a romantic film, and an intimate moment between them was abruptly interrupted when a spider dropped down. An Fei screamed, and Mo Liang swiftly captured it. The next morning, Ye Tian appeared at Ye Hai's door to return the boat-in-a-bottle necklace, assuring him it was "undamaged." Ye Hai explained he was going on "vacation" to "hide" from Lin Huayin. As Ye Hai put on the necklace, he was again hit by an intense headache, and Ye Tian advised him to rest.
