Feng Tianlan didn't expect that he would need to buy a ferry ticket after driving to Hainan. He paid for the 600 yuan ticket, but fortunately, he received a receipt this time. Wang Putao was in a hurry to commemorate her father, and Feng Tianlan was even more anxious than her. However, after arriving in Qionghai, Wang Putao remained calm and relaxed. While they were having a meal, Wang Putao noticed that Feng Tianlan enjoyed his food so much. She then told him something that made him lose his appetite: her father wasn't actually dead. Upon hearing Wang Putao's words, Feng Tianlan indeed put down his chopsticks.

Frustrated, Feng Tianlan asked Wang Putao what she was trying to do. Wang Putao casually replied that she was stating a fact. Yet, the fact she mentioned was that her father was still alive, while she made Feng Tianlan accompany her on such a long journey for the funeral. Feng Tianlan couldn't tolerate Wang Putao joking about her elders, so he decided to fill up the car with gas and leave by himself. However, when he tried to start the engine, he realized the car was broken. Wang Putao called her aunt, and a tractor was brought to tow the car to a repair shop.

Upon seeing Wang Putao, her aunt asked why she had come to visit. Her return made her aunt very happy. When her aunt saw Feng Tianlan carrying such a large suitcase upstairs, she thought he was Wang Putao's boyfriend and felt that Wang Putao had finally found a reliable partner compared to her previous relationships. Wang Putao intended to deny it, but her aunt had already sensed her liking for Feng Tianlan from her eyes. Her aunt took Feng Tianlan and Wang Putao to the market because Wang Putao had been wandering around without her phone. Feng Tianlan bought a balloon and tied it to her wrist. When Wang Putao turned around with the balloon, smiling at him, Feng Tianlan was instantly captivated by her. Her aunt also noticed that Wang Putao was much happier when she was with Feng Tianlan.

Seeing that Feng Tianlan still had a gloomy face, Wang Putao took the initiative to apologize to him, realizing that the lie she had told was indeed excessive. Feng Tianlan had consumed quite a bit of alcohol and explained to her why he was angry. He used to feel that life was long, so he didn't cherish the time he had with his grandmother. In fact, he remembered every detail of kissing Wang Putao the previous night very clearly, but he refused to admit it because he realized that he had truly fallen for her.
