Picking up from his decision to win Nuannuan back, Han Che visits his sister, Han Xue, for the first time since returning to the country. He startles her by calling her "sister," something he never does, and asks for her help. Meanwhile, Nuannuan meets with Lin Jiayi, who will be styling her and Fang Hanchen for the dating show they are on together. Lin Jiayi stresses that her work always comes first and their professional relationship is paramount.
She apologizes for the incident during their debut performance but asserts she did nothing wrong by falling for Han Che. She adds that she is glad it was Nuannuan who found happiness with him, as she couldn't. Later, Nuannuan and Han Xue drink together. Han Xue expresses concern over Nuannuan taking an unstable stylist job and advises her not to push Han Che away, explaining that some people are simply clumsy at expressing their feelings.
Drunk, they arrive at Han Che’s house where Nuannuan clings to him, begging him not to leave. He carries her to bed, gently kisses her cheek, and promises to stay by her side. The next morning, Nuannuan wakes up horrified to find Han Che watching over her, and she blames Han Xue for the situation.
A memory of her drunken antics is triggered by the sight of Han Che's dog, and she turns to leave, only to be embraced by Han Che. He apologizes profusely for causing her pain. Nuannuan dismisses his feelings as compensation born from guilt. Han Che admits that might have been true at first but struggles to articulate his true feelings now. Disappointed by his inability to explain himself, Nuannuan leaves.
Han Xue later scolds her brother for his foolishness but is heartened when Nuannuan suggests they both just need time to think, seeing it as a sign of hope. This prompts Han Xue to propose a bet with Nuannuan: who will succeed first, Han Che winning back Nuannuan, or Han Xue winning over Gu Li. Nuannuan begins her new job, moving costumes into a hotel with Fang Hanchen. The show’s lead stylist, Zong Ying, introduces herself, appearing friendly.
While Nuannuan is impressed by her professional reputation, she remains uncertain about her personality. In a moment of conflict, Nuannuan suggests a different color for Fang Hanchen’s outfit, which prompts a sarcastic response from Zong Ying, who tells Nuannuan to take full responsibility for his styling if she knows him so well. Nuannuan quickly apologizes, and Zong Ying advises her to always have a backup plan ready. Meanwhile, Gu Li is dejected, believing Han Xue has forgotten his birthday.
His mood lifts when she bursts in dressed as Sailor Moon with a matcha cake. However, he shows more excitement for a gift from Naomi, a new computer accessory. Later, Naomi privately urges Gu Li to confess his true feelings to Han Xue, as she can no longer keep up their pretense. On the first day of filming, the director publicly berates Nuannuan for dressing Fang Hanchen in a black jacket against a dark background.
When she offers to run back to the hotel for a backup, he becomes enraged. Fang Hanchen saves the day by offering to shoot in just his shirt. Afterward, a humbled Nuannuan asks Zong Ying for advice on coordinating outfits with filming locations and diligently takes notes. That evening, Fang Hanchen takes Nuannuan out for hotpot. They reminisce about their difficult but memorable days as trainees.
He expresses a wish to return to the past, but Nuannuan insists their best days are still ahead. They toast to Fang Hanchen’s future stardom and her "brand-new life." Unbeknownst to them, a photo of their dinner reaches Han Che, leaving him shocked and contemplative.
