> My Dear Destiny Recap

Ling, the Princess of Beicang, secretly travels to Yi Qi to find her brother, Prince Jie. He cryptically states that Yi Qi will soon be his. Ling, who admires His Majesty Lv Ao, warns Jie not to kill him. Jie reveals that Lv Ao is poisoned with wolfsbane and thus under his control. He promises not to kill Lv Ao but vows to cripple him after sacking the city for Ling to "play" with.

Displeased, Ling decides to explore on her own, accompanied by her bodyguards, Hei Yun and Hei Yu. The trio visits a tavern where San Floral is also dining. Ling, having had too much to drink, becomes curious about a man wearing a white veil at a nearby table. She offers him a piece of meat in exchange for a look at his face, then tries to lift his veil. A fight ensues.

San Floral uses the distraction to release a poisonous smoke bomb and escape. The veiled man pulls Ling to safety, and in the process, she gets a glimpse of his exceedingly handsome face and is instantly captivated. Meanwhile, Lv Ao tries to visit Qiqi, but she ignores him by pretending to be asleep. Later, Lv Che joins Lv Ao for a drink, sensing his brother's distress over Qiqi.

Though still wary of their relationship, Lv Ao reassures Lv Che that he believes nothing improper is happening between them and promises to attend his wedding. That night, a drunken Lv Ao finds his way into Qiqi's bed. He embraces her and tells her to take her revenge now if she wishes. Qiqi seizes the opportunity, leaving his face covered in scratches and bruises. Still struggling to win her back, Lv Ao takes Yinzi's advice to create a romantic surprise.

Although he initially scoffs at the idea as childish, he spends all night carving small wooden dolls in Qiqi's likeness. The next day, Qiqi discovers a trail of these dolls leading her under a tree, where Lv Ao makes a grand entrance amid a shower of flower petals. However, Qiqi is unmoved. She throws the dolls into the water, declaring that she is no longer the same Chou Qingli and cannot be won over so easily.

Consort Ling returns to the palace only to be slapped across the face by her father, the Old Prince Ling. He chastises her for disgracing their family and recognizes that Lv Ao's punishment was a veiled attempt to undermine his military authority. Determined not to yield, he decides to personally escort his daughter back to the Ling household, showcasing the might of the Ling Family's Army to Lv Ao.

Upon hearing of the massive army presence outside Yi Qi, the Prince of Beicang, Jie, notes with satisfaction that his objective of framing Consort Ling to force her out of the palace has been achieved. On the road, the Old Prince Ling's procession encounters Ling and her guards. After realizing they do not recognize the local currency, he orders their capture. A skirmish ensues.

Amidst the chaos, Consort Ling, who had stepped out to investigate the commotion, is seized and abducted by Ling. San Floral, witnessing the entire event from a hidden vantage point, recognizes Consort Ling's identity.
