On the day of the trial, Yao Feng made a point to greet Cheng Yao beforehand and warned her that he wouldn’t go easy in court. In the end, Bao Rui easily won the case, and Yao Feng left the courtroom looking dejected. After leaving the court, Cheng Yao messaged Qian Heng to thank him. Qian Heng reminded her that she had promised to treat him to a seafood feast.

As they were discussing what kinds of seafood to buy, Qian Heng suddenly called and told Cheng Yao to hurry back to the apartment. It turned out that Cheng Yao’s mother had shown up unannounced and, upon seeing a strange man, began questioning him. When Cheng Yao returned home, she explained that Qian Heng was her boss. Seeing no way to explain it clearly, Cheng Yao went along with it and claimed Qian Heng was her boyfriend and worked as a regular assembly line worker. Only after this explanation did her mother agree to go rest at a relative’s house. As she left, she reminded her daughter that someone working on an assembly line wasn’t a good match for their family.
