Deeply missing Bai Yongze, Song Chacha cries while preparing nutritious food for him, trying to distract herself, but his image persists in her mind. After Bai Yongze's return, Li Bao persistently bothers him; Bai Yongze, annoyed, either dismisses her impolitely or has Hou Pu send her away. Song Chacha delivers the meal she cooked, adhering strictly to their professional agreement, and leaves. Bai Yongze is comforted and smiles upon seeing the food.
Soon after, Lan Tian arrives, questioning Bai Yongze about his recent fainting and a drowning child he mentioned. Bai Yongze experiences headaches as he tries to recall details of a recurring nightmare about a drowning child, whose face is just starting to become clear. Fearing further distress, Lan Tian quickly stops him from trying to remember more. Meanwhile, Lan Xin schedules Bai Yongze's ad shoot at the swimming pool, forcing Huang Donglei to cancel the team's training.
Luo Guanjie, whose training time is limited and who dislikes Bai Yongze, is enraged by the repeated cancellations for Bai Yongze. He publicly scolds Bai Yongze and angrily leaves the swim team. Jiang Shi confronts Luo Guanjie about his outburst and reveals that Bai Yongze was the one putting food in his locker, which only further enrages Luo Guanjie. Bai Yongze's ad shoot with Li Bao is difficult, with many retakes due to his reluctance to cooperate.
He eventually, and unwillingly, kisses Li Bao on the face as instructed by the director. Witnessing this, Song Chacha angrily throws the green onions she is holding at them, then confronts Bai Yongze and gets into an argument with Li Bao. To celebrate the ad shoot's completion, Lan Xin hosts a party. Lan Tian invites Song Chacha as his date, and she arrives in a white dress, surprising attendees.
While the party atmosphere is good, both Song Chacha and Bai Yongze are visibly unhappy, unable to stop looking at each other even while dancing with their respective partners. They both leave the party to get some air, coincidentally meeting at the same spot. Their eyes meet, and they feel truly alive, sharing a passionate embrace and kiss.
They agree to meet at this "old spot" whenever they intensely miss each other, with Song Chacha specifying that wearing the shoes Bai Yongze gave her will be her signal. As Bai Yongze walks Song Chacha home, her bag accidentally falls, scattering its contents. While picking them up, Song Chacha's wallet is left behind.
Bai Yongze opens it and is stunned to see a photo of Song Chacha's brother, Song Zhihao, recognizing him as the drowning child from his recurring nightmares. This revelation shocks him and triggers a desperate attempt to recall his childhood, causing him severe headaches as he struggles to remember the past. After Song Chacha leaves the party, Lan Tian follows her.
He later calls her, feigning ignorance about her early departure, but is secretly upset about her meeting with Bai Yongze. He tries to remind her of their happy past and asks her out, but she is distracted, looking at Bai Yongze's photos, and he stops himself before she can refuse, telling her not to overthink it. Bai Yongze searches for news about the drowning child.
He discovers a 2006 report about a 10-year-old child drowning at a beach, with another child missing, and learns about his own childhood trip with his father to Pangzhou Island, the very location of the incident. Fearing his connection to the tragedy, he calls his father to confirm the details. Overwhelmed by the possibility that he might have caused the child's death, he is deeply distraught and cries by the sea at night.
The next morning, Bai Yongze calls the newspaper reporter who covered the drowning incident to inquire about the witness's address. Reporter Xu, working at the same paper, overhears this conversation, learns of Bai Yongze's investigation into events from eleven years ago, and takes a keen interest. Separately, in Lan Xin's resort room, Huang Donglei and Lan Xin wake up screaming.
Lan Xin angrily scolds Huang Donglei, but as he resists, she realizes she was the one who pulled him into her room and locked the door, making him the unwitting victim of her actions.
