Lu Wanwan, carrying a large amount of groceries to care for Han Jingmo, was surprised to find Gu Qiaobei also arriving, residing in the same building as Han Jingmo. She expressed her delight, recalling his culinary skills from a food show, particularly his sweet and sour ribs. Despite Han Jingmo's sarcastic remarks about Gu Qiaobei's cooking being burnt and unappetizing, Lu Wanwan eagerly pressed Gu Qiaobei to cook for them, suggesting their combined efforts might yield a good result.
Han Jingmo, subtly showing jealousy, then borrowed Lu Wanwan's phone, feigning a dead battery, only to discover her game ID was "Chu He," a fact that brought a satisfied smile to his face as he watched her in the kitchen. During dinner, the food prepared by Gu Qiaobei proved difficult to eat.
Lu Guanghan, who had arrived ostensibly to check on Jingmo's injury, attempted to recruit Gu Qiaobei for his Ying Ge company's upcoming food show, praising his perceived culinary talent. Lu Wanwan feigned ignorance of Lu Guanghan's identity. Han Jingmo, in an act of support, deliberately consumed several servings of the unpalatable sweet and sour ribs, leading to his hospitalization. Lu Wanwan accompanied him, and while waiting for his infusion, she logged into her game.
In the game, as Chu He, Lu Wanwan was immediately challenged by a group of players. Han Jingmo, in his in-game persona "Between Ink White," swiftly came to her defense, declaring that anyone who bothered her would face his wrath. Other players, witnessing the exchange, began teasing Chu He, implying a "bossy president" had fallen for a "little girl," a reference to Lu Wanwan's earlier explanation about caring for her sick boss.
Unable to clarify her professional relationship, Lu Wanwan hastily logged off the game. Later, Gu Qiaobei teased Han Jingmo about his protective behavior towards Chu He in the game, questioning if he had developed feelings for her. Han Jingmo did not admit it. Gu Qiaobei then speculated if Han Jingmo was devising a new way to annoy her, to which Han Jingmo cryptically replied he was "thinking" about it.
Gu Qiaobei also probed about Han Jingmo reconsidering Lu Guanghan's job offer, which Han Jingmo firmly rejected. Soon after, Han Jingmo's agent, Lin Wei, assigned Lu Wanwan to accompany Han Jingmo for a full-day variety show filming. During the car ride, Han Jingmo insisted Lu Wanwan feed him a sandwich, provocatively calling her feigned annoyance "acting." On set, Han Jingmo observed Lu Wanwan diligently coordinating details and noticed she hadn't eaten.
After work, seeing her fall asleep in the car, he considerately reclined her seat. Upon reaching the garage, Lu Wanwan abruptly woke up, startled to find Han Jingmo standing outside the car, and quickly exited. Back at his apartment, Han Jingmo demanded Lu Wanwan cook him two bowls of noodles. Despite her initial frustration, they ended up sharing instant noodles, with Han Jingmo sarcastically remarking on her presence.
The next morning, Han Jingmo subtly encouraged Lu Wanwan to stay and rest by using reverse psychology, telling her to go home. Pleased, she remained and was amused to see him in a bathrobe. Soon after, Gu Qiaobei arrived with breakfast. Lu Wanwan, fearing misunderstanding, quickly hid. Gu Qiaobei, however, noticed women's clothes on the sofa and became suspicious, prompting Han Jingmo to quickly usher him out, offering a flimsy excuse about the clothes being part of a costume set.
After leaving Han Jingmo's place, Gu Qiaobei encountered Lu Guanghan in the neighborhood. Initially wary and assuming another recruitment attempt, Gu Qiaobei mentioned his plan to move. However, Lu Guanghan reassured him of a changed approach, promising to respect his decisions and only requested his phone number, which Gu Qiaobei reluctantly provided. Lu Guanghan, still determined to recruit Gu Qiaobei, devised a new strategy.
Knowing Gu Qiaobei played "Moonlight Blade," he instructed Lu Wanwan to create a female character in the game to get closer to him. Lu Wanwan registered a character named "Top Star of Lu" and joined Between Ink White's (Han Jingmo) guild. In the game, both "Three Swordsmanship of Tai Bai" and Between Ink White expressed an interest in the "Top Star of Lu" character.
Later, Lu Wanwan privately informed Between Ink White that "Top Star of Lu" was actually a male, her friend, surprising the other players. Shortly after, Han Jingmo received a call about a new drama, "Big Dunk," and prepared to leave with Lu Wanwan.
