After their scene wrapped, Zhao Jinghang, who had just introduced himself as Lu Wanwan's personal bodyguard, pulled her aside, insisting on driving her home and declaring it his duty to protect his "goddess." As they left the intense atmosphere, Lu Wanwan teased Zhao Jinghang, asking if his sudden return was to escape overseas debts. Zhao Jinghang, impressed by her "brain circuit," did not explain but instead demanded she treat him to a welcome dinner, even suggesting Lu Guanghan join them.
Lu Wanwan declined for that day, citing important scenes she needed to prepare for and suggesting the dinner take place the next day to allow Zhao Jinghang to adjust to the time difference. He agreed. Lu Wanwan then pretended to go home but secretly slipped out, only to be discovered by Zhao Jinghang. Meanwhile, Lu Guanghan was informed of Lu Wanwan's fight with Li Weiqian. He immediately ordered his Public Relations Department to block the news and manage public opinion.
He then received a call from Zhao Jinghang, who confirmed he was already handling the situation and had everything under control, much to Lu Guanghan's relief. Zhao Jinghang, having discovered Lu Wanwan's location at Han Jingmo's place, observed their interaction from upstairs. Lu Wanwan, for her part, brought Han Jingmo his favorite zero-sugar, low-calorie vanilla ice cream, sensing he was unhappy after the earlier incident.
She clarified to Han Jingmo that Zhao Jinghang, who had watched her grow up, was like a brother to her and not an ex-boyfriend, dispelling his apparent concern. Their playful struggle over the ice cream was observed by Zhao Jinghang from upstairs. Later, Lu Wanwan spoke with Little Leaf, confessing she had indeed hit Li Weiqian and worried about causing trouble for Lu Guanghan.
Little Leaf acknowledged that Lu Wanwan wouldn't act without reason but cautioned her to be more careful as a public figure, suggesting wiser ways to handle conflict. Feeling frustrated by both real-life problems and online drama, Lu Wanwan turned to her game, Moonlight Blade, to practice with Han Jingmo.
During their session, Han Jingmo, under his game ID "Strong Wind and Heavy Rain," asked "Chu He" if she had been pursued in real life or had anyone she liked, including male celebrities. Unsatisfied with her answers and perhaps a bit frustrated, he swiftly defeated her in the game. Lu Guanghan also called Lu Wanwan, teasing her about being "crippled" and shouldn't "hurt other great young men," making her annoyed.
He also mentioned he heard she hit Li Weiqian because Li Weiqian claimed Lu Wanwan was Lu Guanghan's sponsor. Zhao Jinghang and Lu Guanghan met for drinks. Lu Guanghan expressed his understanding of Lu Wanwan's character, asserting she must have had her reasons for the fight, and he only cared that she wouldn't get hurt. Zhao Jinghang, however, provocatively suggested making Lu Wanwan "disappear" from the show, a notion Lu Guanghan quickly dismissed due to the significant investment.
Lu Guanghan then playfully accused Zhao Jinghang of having been interested in Lu Wanwan since school, questioning why he hadn't pursued her. Lu Guanghan declared he wouldn't mind being Zhao Jinghang's brother-in-law. Zhao Jinghang reiterated that his feelings for Lu Wanwan were purely fraternal, like an older brother to a younger sibling. They also discussed Zhao Jinghang's uncertain travel plans and Lu Guanghan's thriving business.
Following his conversation with Zhao Jinghang, Lu Guanghan received a call from Gu Qiaobei, who invited him to lunch the next day. Lu Guanghan, visibly surprised by the call, enthusiastically accepted. At lunch, Gu Qiaobei warmly welcomed Lu Guanghan and subtly probed whether Ying Ge was facing any difficulties, specifically asking why Lu Wanwan was assigned a bodyguard. Lu Guanghan confirmed it was Zhao Jinghang and that they had known each other for a long time.
Gu Qiaobei then asked if Zhao Jinghang was Lu Wanwan's suitor, to which Lu Guanghan replied he didn't know, hinting that if they were meant to be, they would have already gotten together. Gu Qiaobei suggested arranging a gathering for everyone to formally meet, even offering to cook. Lu Guanghan quickly objected, citing the upcoming important filming schedule and, with a chuckle, quipped that Gu Qiaobei should only "hurt me alone" with his cooking, implying his culinary skills were dangerous.
Gu Qiaobei quickly agreed to focus on filming. Later, Li Weiqian approached Lu Wanwan as if nothing had happened, apologizing for her previous behavior and expressing concern about the news of their fight being leaked. Lu Wanwan, sensing an opportunity, feigned weakness and blamed it on a poor diet, making it appear she was about to faint. This quickly sent Li Weiqian scurrying away with an excuse to read her script, much to Lu Wanwan's amusement.
Shortly after, Lu Wanwan's assistant informed her that Zhao Jinghang had arrived at the set with an elaborate Japanese feast for the entire crew, a grand gesture. However, Lu Wanwan's assistant announced it was from "Teacher Lu Wanwan," creating a subtle misattribution that astonished everyone. During a break in filming, Lu Wanwan expressed her delight at having such strong "support" and joked that Zhao Jinghang's methods of winning favor were clichéd. Han Jingmo, upon hearing this, decided to outdo him.
He arranged for the city's most renowned Japanese buffet to be brought to the set for everyone, and also surprised Lu Wanwan with a violinist. He intentionally attributed the buffet to Lu Wanwan, creating a subtle competition between himself and Zhao Jinghang. He also made sure a special meal was prepared for Lu Wanwan specifically at his request. Amidst the meal, Lu Wanwan reached for a piece of grilled meat, but Zhao Jinghang snatched it away.
Han Jingmo then provided Lu Wanwan with more grilled meat, reminding her to eat well for the upcoming scenes. An assistant secretly informed Lu Wanwan's assistant that Zhao Jinghang was a "strong competitor" with a mysterious identity. Later, while Lu Wanwan was tidying up, Zhao Jinghang attempted to help her with her messy hair which was caught by her necklace.
Seeing this, a seemingly jealous Han Jingmo took over, gently arranging Lu Wanwan's hair, a tender moment that brought a sweet smile to Lu Wanwan's face. Zhao Jinghang, observing their interaction, watched with an unreadable expression. Zhao Jinghang then invited Lu Wanwan to dinner, reminding her of her promise to treat him.
Lu Wanwan accepted, and he drove her to a secluded restaurant known for its privacy, which notably lacked Wi-Fi or phone signal, emphasizing a break from their digital lives. He also mentioned that Lu Guanghan was currently "cleaning up her mess." Meanwhile, in the game, Han Jingmo (Strong Wind and Heavy Rain) was anxiously awaiting "Chu He" (Lu Wanwan's game ID) for their scheduled wedding ceremony, warning that the live stream would only last ten minutes.
Trapped at the restaurant with no signal, Lu Wanwan frantically called Lu Guanghan, begging him to log into her account and stand in for her, fearing Han Jingmo's humiliation. Lu Guanghan, busy in real life, reluctantly agreed. However, when "Top Star of Lu" (Lu Guanghan's game ID) appeared on Lu Wanwan's account, stating he was there to fulfill the ceremony, Han Jingmo refused the substitute, insisting he would wait for the real "Chu He."
Annoyed, Lu Guanghan left the game, leaving Han Jingmo to face the online crowd alone, who wondered if "Chu He" had truly stood him up and how it would affect their plans for a "bride-snatching game."
