Ruan Dongsheng was rushed to the hospital after being knocked unconscious by Xiao Nan in the previous episode. Doctors requested immediate contact with his family. Xiao Nan told Taotao to call Rebecca. Taotao then revealed she wasn't Ruan Dongsheng's biological daughter, asking if she still counted as family, which shocked both Xiao Nan and Eva. Taotao explained that Rebecca had told her to call Ruan Dongsheng "dad." She worried that she would not have a father if he didn't recover.
Eva comforted Taotao, calling herself a "superhero" and assuring her Ruan Dongsheng would be fine. Xiao Nan told Taotao that Ruan Dongsheng knew he was wrong and they should forgive him. Rebecca soon arrived to take Taotao home. Eva attempted to speak with her, but Rebecca, in a poor mood, pulled Taotao away, stating she had nothing to discuss and questioning if Eva's previous help was a ploy to threaten her.
Eva clarified her intention was to talk about Taotao, revealing she knew Ruan Dongsheng was not Taotao's father. Eva expressed pity for Taotao being sent to boarding school and used as a tool, asking if Rebecca felt ashamed. Rebecca angrily retorted that Eva had forced her into this situation and told her to focus on her own well-being.

Rebecca later met with Eva and revealed the full truth. Taotao's biological father was Ruan Dongsheng's best friend. Years ago, frustrated by Ruan Dongsheng's rejection of her love, Rebecca had started a relationship with his best friend to provoke him. She became pregnant, but just before the baby was due, Ruan Dongsheng and his friend were in a car accident.
The friend was fatally injured while protecting Ruan Dongsheng, and with his dying wish, he entrusted Rebecca and their unborn daughter to Ruan Dongsheng's care. Rebecca sincerely apologized to Eva for her past actions and thanked her for her help. She confided in the supposedly sleeping Ruan Dongsheng, threatening to marry a rich and handsome man if he didn't wake up. Suddenly, Ruan Dongsheng "woke up," noticed an apple on the table with a bite taken out of it, and accused Xiao Nan of secretly eating it. Xiao Nan denied it, making Eva suspicious. Ruan Dongsheng then pulled Eva into a hug, revealing he had been faking his unconsciousness all along. Realizing his deception, Eva playfully hit him.
Xiao Nan, sensing the intimacy, discreetly left, but not before Ruan Dongsheng asked him to inform Manager Luo that he was awake. Ruan Dongsheng then insisted Eva compensate him for his "injuries" by staying with him, emphasizing he "needed her." Eva countered that her agency fees were too high for him to afford her care, but Ruan Dongsheng insisted he needed her presence, not her money or her life.
At the hospital entrance, Xiao Nan encountered Yiren, who was there to visit Ruan Dongsheng. Seeing that Ruan Dongsheng and Eva had reconciled, Xiao Nan asked Yiren for another chance, but she coldly rebuffed him. Taotao then arrived, and Xiao Nan jokingly told her to call him "brother" instead of "uncle." Taotao explained that, on Rebecca's instruction, she now called Ruan Dongsheng "godfather" to avoid interfering with his and Eva's relationship.

Eva quickly realized he was faking and tried to leave, but he pulled her back, demanding she "compensate him with her body." Eva refused, calling him a liar. Meanwhile, Yiren suffered from hemorrhoids after eating the spicy hot pot, finding it painful to sit. Xiao Nan called her, suggesting she take leave while Ruan Dongsheng was hospitalized and undergo surgery, an idea Yiren found reasonable.
Later, Ni Hao updated Ruan Dongsheng on the company's performance, mentioning that Yiren had taken a week's leave for a "vacation." Ruan Dongsheng was surprised, as Yiren rarely took time off. He called Yiren, only for her phone to ring in his own hospital ward. Xiao Nan then entered, pushing Yiren in a wheelchair, who had just undergone surgery and been placed in the same ward.
Xiao Nan tried to cover for her, claiming she had sudden appendicitis, but Ruan Dongsheng immediately saw through the lie. She clarified that Eva and Ruan Dongsheng were her good friends and warned against spreading rumors. She stated that her marriage and the child's father were private matters she would not disclose. Watching the news, Eva expressed admiration for Rebecca, calling her "cool."
Ruan Dongsheng reminded her of Rebecca's past actions, but Eva called him petty. Ni Hao urged Ruan Dongsheng to leave the hospital, pointing out Eva's rising popularity due to Rebecca's withdrawal meant she would be too busy to care for him. Ruan Dongsheng initially dismissed this, but Eva then arrived to inform him she had accepted a reality show, "Super Model Kitchen," and would be filming for the next month.
Realizing her commitment, Ruan Dongsheng immediately arranged for his discharge and decided to invest in the show to be with her. Yiren later advised him to invest behind the scenes as all official shares were taken. Eva arrived at the "Super Model Kitchen" set and immediately spotted Ruan Dongsheng's mother, hiding with Xiao Nan. Ruan Dongsheng proudly defended Eva as the champion of the World Angel Contest. Eva, overhearing his defense, was deeply touched. Ruan Dongsheng's mother, secretly pleased that her son was finally in love, instructed her assistant to gather all information on Eva. Gao Quan had obtained Ruan Dongsheng's medical report from a private hospital in America, revealing a severe taste disorder. He planned to use this to humiliate Ruan Dongsheng on the show.
Meanwhile, Xiao Nan tried to organize a discharge party for Yiren, but she refused, not wanting anyone to know about her surgery. Gao Quan, a guest on the show, challenged the "scientific" nature of the cooking and publicly exposed Ruan Dongsheng's taste disorder, claiming he had no sense of taste and presenting the medical report as proof.
Yiren and Xiao Nan, watching the live broadcast, tried to get word to the set. Ni Hao ran on set and tried to subtly warn them by implying issues with the utensils, but Ruan Dongsheng was surrounded.
