Love Never Fails Episode 4 Recap
> Love Never Fails Recap
Hongning felt her heart racing. Every time she saw Jinxiu, her heart would beat rapidly. Jinxiu said she was experiencing palpitations. Hongning asked why Jinxiu had so many injuries on his body. Jinxiu said it had nothing to do with her and told her to focus on mastering the makeup look properly and stop making a fool of herself.
Hongning asked Jinxiu what his name was, saying that they had known each other for so long and she still didn’t know what to call him. Jinxiu told her his name. Hongning asked how she could find him. Jinxiu gave her a flower bell and told her to speak into it—his flower bell on the other end would receive it. Hongning tried it and found it actually worked. After Jinxiu returned, he thought about the whole situation.
Remembering his father’s advice to sever all attachments, he put the flower bell aside. Mint Shark didn’t believe Hongning had been captured. Lemon Sprite said even the Rabbit Spirits had seen it happen—why wouldn’t she believe it? Lemon Sprite thought Hongning had bloomed without following the seasonal floral signal and was arrested by the Floral Deity herself. She believed Hongning was doomed. Mint Shark refused to believe that and said Hongning would definitely be fine.
Hearing their conversation, Lu Jiu asked if the person who had been taken was Jinxiu. Lemon Sprite confirmed it, and Lu Jiu asked them to take him to the last place Jinxiu had been seen. Lemon Sprite initially didn’t want to bother with him, but once she realized he was an immortal, she quickly agreed. Hongning tried to pull out the earth grass but was attacked by it.
She cried out for help, and Jinxiu heard her and came to her rescue. He asked what she was doing there. Hongning said she had to grow flowers here in order to participate in the Blossom Festival. Upon learning that it was Envoy Xingxing who had sent her there, Jinxiu understood why she had given Hongning the blossom invitation. Jinxiu explained that earth grass would attack if provoked and told her not to stay there.
But Hongning insisted she had to attend the Blossom Festival no matter what. When Hongning was attacked again, Jinxiu saved her, but unexpectedly the earth grass wrapped around both their wrists. Jinxiu said he had to go back and figure out how to undo it, while Hongning was worried about her flowers. Jinxiu taught her a protective spell, which Hongning cast successfully in one go.
Jinxiu thought to himself it was only because he had given her one of his finger bones. Jinxiu took Hongning back and looked through books. He found that the vines of earth grass would disappear after a full day and night, but there was no method listed for removing them early. Hongning said she was tired and lay down to sleep. Jinxiu was utterly shocked, wondering how an unmarried man and woman could act like this.
Hongning said it wasn’t appropriate for just the two of them—why not call in a few more people? Jinxiu refused, saying it would be bad if others saw them like this. Hongning found everything troublesome, muttered that nothing worked, and simply lay down to sleep. Then she went to bathe in the pool and dragged Jinxiu in with her. Jinxiu was extremely frustrated. After they parted, he had Officer Chrysanthemum lock Hongning inside the Hundred Flowers Painting.
Officer Chrysanthemum brought Hongning there, and she begged to be released, saying she hadn’t grown her flowers yet and had to participate in the Blossom Festival. Officer Chrysanthemum said this was Jinxiu’s order and not open for discussion, then pushed her inside. Kunlun said that if she wanted to leave, she had to count all the petals in the painting. Even immortals couldn’t bear it when they entered—how could a little demon like Hongning manage?
Hongning tried counting for a long time but couldn’t finish and didn’t know what to do. Officer Chrysanthemum remarked that unless dark clouds covered the sky, there was no way to finish. Hongning said she had an idea. In order to win Jinxiu’s favor, Lu Yao had practiced a dance with great effort and performed it during the Blossom Festival. Jinxiu said it wasn’t necessary. Lu Yao replied that it was enough if he liked it.
Others came forward to present flowers—many passed successfully, but the peonies grown by Shaoyao were deemed too plain in color and failed. Just as Jinxiu was about to leave, thinking no one else would come, Hongning rushed in. She saw a divine mark glowing on Jinxiu’s forehead and was greatly surprised.
