However, after stepping away, Xu Nian realized Guan Qianya had been secretly crying, having been acting strong to avoid worrying him.
Overwhelmed by remorse and understanding the depth of her silent suffering, Xu Nian resolved to alleviate her burden. He soon met Lei Na, who noted his changed appearance since leaving Bayhouse, hinting at the harshness of the outside world and even offering him a primer. Xu Nian immediately pressed her about the investor he requested, surprising Lei Na with his prompt arrival.
Lei Na revealed that Xu Guanghan had sent her, explaining that despite Xu Nian's past disappointments, Xu Guanghan, as his biological father, was willing to help, but only if Xu Nian met him in person to admit his mistake and apologize. Though initially resistant, Xu Nian was swayed by Lei Na's persistent questioning of his love for Guan Qianya.
