Granny Fu Shun comforted a tearful Jiang Kele, urging her not to blame herself, and emphasized that everyone had managed to escape safely, which was the most important outcome. Jiang Kele then asked about Guan Qianya, and Granny Fu Shun confirmed that Guan Qianya and the others were safe at her house. Granny Fu Shun also revealed that Guan Qianya had contacted journalists to testify against Xu Guanghan and offered her assistance if needed when the time was right.
Guan Qianya met with a journalist, urging her to expose Xu Guanghan by revealing that Y4 were real people whom he had imprisoned for his "despicable project." The journalist found this approach too uninteresting and suggested a more novel method: living with the Y4 members to uncover their stories and write from their perspective, believing this would be more relatable to the audience.

After this detailed exposition, Cui tried to elaborate on his own involvement, but the journalist was overwhelmed and stated she needed time to sort out the information.
Guan Qianya, anxious about the delay, pressed her to hurry, emphasizing that the sooner they exposed Xu Guanghan, the safer they would be. Before leaving, Xu Guanghan instructed Guan Qianya to relay a message to Xu Nian: he was still his son and would be welcomed back home if he "came to his senses." Later, Lu Xiao regained consciousness and immediately asked about the safety of the others and the success of the plan to expose Xu Guanghan. Jiang Kele regretfully informed him that the plan had failed. Distressed, Lu Xiao expressed his determination to expose Xu Guanghan's lies, despite his injuries.
At that moment, Zhang Yang and Lei Na arrived.
