Guan Qianya was surprised when Xu Nian suddenly appeared, wet from the rain, at her company. Xu Nian explained that he had missed her and came to find her, knowing she was the CEO of the company after seeing her building when they first met in the game. Guan Qianya provided him with a company shirt to change into.
As they drove to dinner, Xu Nian described his first experience with real rain, finding it comfortable and the after-rain breeze gentle. Guan Qianya told him that there were many more things in the world to experience, like morning dew, warm afternoon light, cicada sounds, and winter's first snow, and that he should live life to the fullest.
When asked if he was still afraid of the outside world, Xu Nian admitted he was, but his desire to see her was stronger than his fear. At dinner, Xu Nian, trying to be considerate, chose not to cut Guan Qianya's steak, sensing she was independent, a decision Guan Qianya appreciated. Their date at the restaurant was observed by a waiter. He also decided against drinking wine, realizing she was driving.
Guan Qianya observed his quick adaptation to the outside world and emphasized that while his game character was real-like, he, the true Xu Nian, should live fully in the real world. After dinner, Guan Qianya dropped him off at the secret passage exit. She stated she would no longer go into Bayhouse to find him, but would wait for him in her office every night if he wished to see her.
They agreed to meet the following night, with Guan Qianya promising to show him more of the outside world. Jiang Kele confided in virtual Lu Xiao, expressing frustration that real Lu Xiao couldn't understand her intentions after she told him his mother was sick, and he had yelled at her. She felt she shouldn't have any regrets in life, especially since her own mother had passed away.
Virtual Lu Xiao affirmed that Jiang Kele was doing the right thing and advised her not to give up, encouraging her to try persuading real Lu Xiao again. He promised that if real Lu Xiao were to yell at her again, she could come to him to vent, and he would teach the real Lu Xiao a lesson if they ever met.
The next morning, Jiang Kele brought a birthday cake to Lu Xiao, explaining it was her deceased mother's birthday cake, a day she and her father celebrated each year instead of her death anniversary because the latter felt too sad. She revealed her own mother had also died of illness when she was young, and she did not want Lu Xiao to have any regrets regarding his own mother.
Lu Xiao thanked Jiang Kele for her concern but asked her to keep his mother's presence in the nursing home a secret, stating he would make his own decisions about everything else. Jiang Kele agreed and offered him some cake. Qi Chuan was determined to proceed with his music video, "Dancing Over Relationship," despite Guan Qianya refusing the lead role.
He instructed his assistant to find an actress resembling Guan Qianya and planned to portray Xu Nian himself, dismissing copyright concerns by asserting that any lawsuit would only increase their exposure, especially considering Xu Guanghan had taken many of his songs. As Qi Chuan spoke ill of Xu Guanghan, Xu Guanghan and Lei Na unexpectedly arrived to scout the concert venue.
Upon learning that Qi Chuan was holding a concert there, Xu Guanghan sarcastically called it a "farewell concert," questioning what songs Qi Chuan would sing since he hadn't released new music after leaving Yao Inc. Lei Na then suggested selling Qi Chuan's old songs back to him at ten times the market price. Qi Chuan, not backing down, falsely claimed that his concert tickets were already sold out, even offering Xu Guanghan a VVVVVIP ticket.
Xu Guanghan retorted that he wouldn't attend, while Qi Chuan's assistant worried about their finances if they truly bought the songs at such an exorbitant price. Qi Chuan, undeterred, joked about extending "Dancing Over Relationship" to last for ten minutes. After a dance practice, the four virtual idols, including Lu Xiao, decided to rest.
Meanwhile, Guan Qianya was working late in her office, dealing with financial troubles for her company and arranging a mortgage on her assets, also waiting for Xu Nian to come out. Unexpectedly, Bayhouse experienced a sudden power outage. Lu Xiao, seizing the opportunity, donned a helmet belonging to Jiang Kele and slipped out. Security guards spotted him, mistook him for Jiang Kele due to the helmet, and gave chase.
Lu Xiao soon encountered Jiang Kele, who was joyfully riding her newly purchased electric scooter. Recognizing Lu Xiao, she quickly let him on, and they sped away as security pursued them. Jiang Kele realized Xu Guanghan would likely be aware of the escape and took Lu Xiao back to Bayhouse. Back at Bayhouse, the power was restored, and Xu Guanghan, upon returning, immediately sought to find out who had left.
He instructed Xu Nian to gather Luo Ke and Su Lie, while he went to Lu Xiao’s room. With all four gathered, Xu Guanghan demanded to know who had gone out during the blackout. Xu Nian, who had just seen Lu Xiao return through a hidden passage and been asked by him to keep his secret, lied and claimed no one had left.
Xu Guanghan pressed him, noting the security guards' description of someone in a trench coat and jeans wearing a helmet, which matched Lu Xiao’s attire. Lu Xiao, pretending innocence, denied wearing a helmet. Just as Xu Guanghan was about to order a search for the helmet, Jiang Kele arrived, holding the very helmet. She claimed she had run out during the blackout to buy scented candles, explaining why she ignored the security guards’ calls.
