After escaping gravely injured, Zhonghao returned to Dark Capital Mountain, where the Demon Lord healed him with demonic energy. Qin Yuan, watching nearby, realized his foster father's power originated from the Demon Lord. Zhonghao then explained to the Demon Lord that he had failed to capture the mortal Lingxi because of Jiuchen's interference, begging for one more chance.

He promised that in three days, on the blood moon night, he would not only capture Lingxi but also open the Spirit-Binding Abyss to welcome the Demon Tribe's army and the Demon Lord himself back into the world. The Demon Lord, though displeased, warned Zhonghao that his life was already forfeit, and if the Demon Lord could not return, Zhonghao would be forced to remain in the demonic realm with him forever.

Zhonghao ordered Qin Yuan to capture Lingxi, but Qin Yuan urged his father to reconsider. He argued that their vengeance was complete, as the Shanling Tribe was now under their control. Releasing the Demon Lord would devastate all living creatures and turn the Six Realms into scorched earth, making any reign meaningless. Zhonghao, however, dismissed the fate of the Six Realms, regretting only that he hadn't become a demon sooner.

He asserted that the Heavenly Palace had exiled them and the Shanling Tribe had harmed them. He told Qin Yuan that as his only remaining loved one, if he followed him sincerely, the entire world would eventually be his, but if he harbored any disloyalty, Zhonghao would show no mercy. Meanwhile, the surging demonic aura from Dark Capital Mountain caused Yuan Tong to cough up blood. Duyu visited her and, noticing her unstable breathing, offered a Constitution-Aiding Pill.

Suspecting her pills were compromised, Yuan Tong refused it but allowed him to help regulate her energy. Duyu cautioned her against training with her secret technique in the demon-infested area. Soon after, her subordinate Shenjiang reported the surge of demonic aura. Yuan Tong immediately resolved to lead a troop to investigate. Duyu tried to dissuade her, but she insisted, giving her own personal, higher-quality Constitution-Aiding Pills to her men for what she claimed would be better protection.

Far away, Yunfeng, having confirmed his affection for Qingyao, stayed by her side. He playfully tried to get her to drink with him, promised to make her the mistress of his Flying Curtain Hall, and carried her when she dozed off. This peaceful interlude was shattered when Siming urgently arrived, informing Yunfeng of Jiuchen's grave injuries. Yunfeng rushed back to Fuyun Hall to help Jiuchen heal.

Jiuchen awakened and immediately tried to leave to find Lingxi, who Jing Xiu had taken. As Yunfeng and Siming tried to stop him, the Heavenly Supreme Lord appeared. He sternly reprimanded Jiuchen for repeatedly risking his life for Lingxi, declaring that if she could not pass her mortal trials and dissipate her demonic aura before her nineteenth birthday in three days, it was her destiny to fail.

Jiuchen pleaded that their efforts would be in vain if her primordial energy, being nourished in the Farmer God's Cauldron, wasn't allowed to develop. The Heavenly Supreme Lord threatened to personally destroy the Cauldron if she failed, effectively killing her. He then ordered Siming to confine Jiuchen to the Heavenly Palace and instructed Yunfeng to proceed to Dark Capital Mountain and guard its gates, ensuring Lingxi did not approach the Demon Lord.

Yuan Tong led her Heavenly Soldiers into Dark Capital Mountain. As the demonic aura intensified, Shenjiang activated the Reflecting Light Mirror as protocol required and urged a retreat. Instead, Yuan Tong made a dramatic, ominous apology to her soldiers for their loyalty and for having to follow her fallen clan. After confirming they had all taken the pills she had provided, she ruthlessly ordered them to continue forward, threatening execution for disobedience. As they proceeded, the demonic aura became overwhelming.

The Heavenly Soldiers, having ingested the faulty Constitution-Aiding Pills, succumbed to the demonic influence, losing their minds and turning on each other. Yuan Tong drew her sword and struck down her own demonized men. When Yunfeng arrived, he found the ground littered with bodies and an exhausted Yuan Tong fighting the last of the demonized soldiers. Feigning distress, Yuan Tong claimed all her soldiers had been bewitched.

Shocked, Yunfeng ordered her to report to the Heavenly Emperor for an investigation and request reinforcements. From the shadows, Zhonghao and Qin Yuan observed the scene. Zhonghao mockingly remarked on the Heavenly Race's so-called "righteousness," leaving Qin Yuan in silent contemplation. Meanwhile, Jing Xiu brought Lin Mo to an inn.

His subordinate, Chibi, questioned why Jing Xiu used his own life bead to extend Lin Mo's life—condemning himself to endure her pain and illness—instead of directly helping her pass her trial. Jing Xiu watched the restless Lin Mo sleep, murmuring that as long as she understood him, no one else mattered. He vowed to always protect her, even as he worried if he could keep his promise once the Spirit-Binding Abyss was opened.

Upon her return to the Heavenly Palace, Yuan Tong accused Qingyao before the Heavenly Emperor, claiming she provided ineffective pills that led to her subordinates' deaths. Yunfeng challenged her, asking why she wasn't demonized. Yuan Tong lied, asserting she had given her higher-grade pills to her men while taking their lesser-grade ones herself. Immortal Lord Puhua examined the pills Yuan Tong presented and confirmed they were problematic. Yuan Tong condemned Qingyao for using her medical skills for a personal vendetta.

The God of Heavenly Thunder demanded severe punishment. Just then, Jiuchen arrived and questioned Yuan Tong's decision to enter Dark Capital Mountain without authorization and her failure to use the Reflecting Light Mirror. Yuan Tong claimed she was trying to redeem herself and that the situation was too urgent for protocol. The Heavenly Emperor then cornered her, asking why she took her men's pills when she still had her own. Faltering, Yuan Tong claimed she was saving them.

The God of Heavenly Thunder accused Jiuchen of defending Qingyao out of personal feelings. To end the argument, Qingyao stepped forward and confessed, accepting responsibility for the faulty pills and the soldiers' deaths. Despite Jiuchen's and Yunfeng's pleas, the Heavenly Emperor ordered Qingyao to be detained at Purple Cloud Platform pending a full investigation. Yunfeng followed Qingyao to the Purple Cloud Platform, distraught. Jiuchen, sensing foul play but acknowledging Qingyao's culpability, realized she faced the destruction of her deity status.

Determined to find the truth, he decided to go to Dark Capital Mountain to search for the Reflecting Light Mirror. At the platform, Qingyao was resigned to her fate, telling a desperate Yunfeng that Yuan Tong had outsmarted her. Refusing to give up, Yunfeng vowed to seek help from Jiuchen, certain his senior brother could save her.
