After Physician Qingyao thoroughly examined Jiuchen, she confirmed that he was in stable condition thanks to the timely use of the pellet and the healing effects of the Endless Wood's fire. She urged him to rest and avoid using his divine powers indiscriminately. Qingyao then expressed her gratitude to Jiuchen for protecting her junior sect sister, Lingxi. As she departed with Lingxi, they encountered High God Yunfeng.

Lingxi began to address him, but Qingyao promptly interrupted, noting that Yunfeng seemed busy with military matters, particularly in arresting remnants of the Demon Tribe, and quickly steered Lingxi away before he could inquire further about Lingxi's apparent change. Lingxi expressed her sadness to Qingyao that it would be difficult to meet again once she went to Polar Abyss. Upon returning to Peach Forest, Qingyao informed her master, Le Bo, about Lingxi's situation.

She explained that Lingxi had revealed her identity at Dark Capital Mountain, making her vulnerable to the Demon Tribe's relentless pursuit. Although the God of War had temporarily brought peace by sweeping Dark Capital Mountain, Qingyao worried that Polar Abyss, being within the Heavenly Race's view, was not a safe long-term solution.

She suggested hiding Lingxi in a place no one could find, but Le Bo remained worried, aware that even if such a place existed, Lingxi's devotion to Jiuchen would prevent her from going there. Meanwhile, Chengyan remained tied to a tree. Hualiao, a flower spirit, offered him water, which he irritably refused. Hualiao then poured the water at his feet, explaining that she "stored" water this way when she didn't drink. Chengyan found this both annoying and amusing.

He quietly tried to persuade Hualiao to untie him, mentioning that his Senior Sister had used an immortal rope, which even their master dared not untie. Hualiao, however, feigned ignorance, claiming she was "just a flower" and didn't understand, then quickly ran off, warning Chengyan not to tell her master. When Qingyao finally untied Chengyan, she instructed him to take good care of their master and avoid further trouble.

Resentful of being tied up due to Lingxi, Chengyan sneaked away to Fuyun Hall, determined to confront her. At Fuyun Hall, Chengyan demanded to know Lingxi's relationship with Jiuchen, criticizing her for being alone with him in the hall and questioning Jiuchen's intentions. He admonished her to be more discreet and stated that Jiuchen was "not a good match," pointing out their age and status differences—Jiuchen as the God of War, and Lingxi as a small fairy from Peach Forest.

Lingxi, however, was unfazed, telling Chengyan that she had finally enjoyed two peaceful days with Jiuchen and didn't want him to spoil it. She asserted that Jiuchen had already taken the initiative and that his youthful looks made him far more attractive than Chengyan. Lingxi confidently stated that no one in the Six Realms was truly worthy of Jiuchen, so it didn't matter if Chengyan thought she was. Seeing Lingxi's infatuated appearance, Chengyan could only shake his head helplessly.

Afterward, Jiuchen sent both Shisan and Huayan away from Fuyun Hall, claiming he needed to cultivate in solitude, leaving only Lingxi behind. Shisan recounted her frustration to High God Yunfeng and Siming at Siming Hall. She explained that while many halls eagerly sought Huayan's services, no one, not even Zigu, the Toilet Goddess who had previously claimed kinship with her, would take her in.

Feeling disheartened and neglected by Jiuchen, Shisan declared her intention to stay at Siming Hall as a small immortal maid. Siming was taken aback, attempting to refuse but eventually conceding under Shisan's persistent arguments about her multifaceted capabilities. Yunfeng, observing their usual squabbles, found it amusing and, after sharing a few drinks with them, discreetly excused himself, leaving Siming to endure Shisan's boisterous company. Later that night, Physician Qingyao quietly ventured to Full Moon Spring.

She had learned that its precious fish possessed curative effects for cold diseases and only surfaced at night. Knowing the fish was highly treasured by the Venerable of Lingtai, she waited until midnight when no one was around. Determined to repay Jiuchen for his kindness toward Lingxi, she planned to catch a few to prepare medicinal dishes for him.

As she was about to begin, High God Yunfeng, who had followed her after seeing her leave Yaowang Cave, appeared, expressing his appreciation for her consideration toward his senior brother. They collaborated, using their celestial powers to catch a fish. When the water splashed, Yunfeng instinctively pulled Qingyao close, shielding her from the cold spring water.

Noticing Qingyao's subdued reaction, Yunfeng seized the moment to sincerely apologize once more for his past actions that led to the death of her mortal husband during her trial. Qingyao, touched by his earnestness, found herself unable to further blame him, and a subtle shift in her feelings for Yunfeng began. She gazed at him for a moment before silently turning and leaving. Yunfeng felt a sense of relief, understanding that Qingyao's long-standing grievance had finally eased.

Encouraged by this, along with Jiuchen's earlier advice, Yunfeng had already adopted a more diligent approach, clearing years of backlog in his official duties. He then actively sought out evil beasts across the Four Seas to subdue. A Heavenly Soldier later gossiped that Yunfeng had recently mistaken the Eastern Seas Water Monarch's mount for an evil beast and beaten it severely, leading the Water Monarch to lodge a complaint with the Heavenly Emperor.

Despite this, Yunfeng remained unfazed, recounting his recent triumph over a group of Black Bee Monsters, which were as large as cauldrons and had tormented the Eastern Wilderness, emphasizing how he battled them for a day and night to ensure the safety of local residents. He returned to Heavenly Palace disheveled, only to be informed that the Heavenly Emperor had appeased the Eastern Seas Water Monarch by compensating him with a spiritual beast from Wanling Park.

Yunfeng shrugged off the news, asserting that such actions were merely his duty. Upon his return, Qingyao, who had heard of his exploits, spotted him in his disheveled state at the South Gate of Heaven. Although amused, she said nothing. Back at Yaowang Cave, Qingyao found Siming with bruised arms, which he explained were from Shisan hitting him with a Clanging Golden Gong while drunk.

Qingyao tended to his injuries but "accidentally" applied some bee venom, causing his arms to swell and itch. She then "generously" gave him an entire bottle of high-quality bee venom antidote, telling him he could give it to others if he didn't need it all. Siming, puzzled by her actions, took the medicine.

As Siming walked out of the hall, he saw Yunfeng, still covered in red welts, approaching him and asking for a list of more evil beasts to hunt in the Four Seas. Realizing Qingyao's true intention, Siming lamented that "when gods fight, small ghosts suffer." He quickly handed Yunfeng the antidote, explaining it was from Physician Qingyao and highly effective for bee stings.

Siming then urged Yunfeng to travel to the Southern Seas, claiming there were aggressive fish demons tormenting local fishermen and suggesting he seek treatment from Qingyao at Yaowang Cave if he got injured. Yunfeng was overjoyed to learn the medicine came from Qingyao. On the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, Lingxi, after several attempts, successfully baked a batch of salted egg yolk mooncakes. She excitedly presented them to Jiuchen.

Though he usually abstained from food, Jiuchen, unwilling to disappoint her, took a bite. Lingxi then bravely explained a Peach Forest custom for Mid-Autumn Festival: family members would kiss each other on the forehead and say blessings. She immediately regretted her words, but to her surprise, Jiuchen gently kissed her forehead and blessed her with "Peace and happiness," leaving Lingxi stunned. The following day, Jiuchen went to the Grand Hall to meet the Heavenly Emperor.

Before leaving, he assured Lingxi that her matter would be resolved that day, and afterward, he would take her to Polar Abyss, filling her with joy. During the assembly, Immortal Lord of Universal Turn presented the findings of his thorough investigation into the Kunlun Mountain incident. It was confirmed that the Heavenly Soldiers had died from Heichi's demonic blade, and Heichi had conspired with Zhonghao to free the Heaven-Devouring Beast from Kunlun Mountain.

The investigation concluded that Lingxi had no involvement and was free to leave Heavenly Palace. God of Heavenly Thunder, skeptical of the findings, made sarcastic remarks towards Jiuchen but was silenced by the Heavenly Emperor's displeased cough. Upon returning to Fuyun Hall, Jiuchen was alarmed to find Wuwan unconscious in the courtyard and Lingxi missing. He frantically searched the entire hall, creating countless clones, but she was nowhere to be found.

Unbeknownst to him, Qinyuan, the disciple of Old Man of the South Pole, had infiltrated Heavenly Palace again. He had knocked out Wuwan and abducted Lingxi, noting that she carried the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand. Just then, Shisan returned, complaining to Jiuchen that no one would take her in, not even Siming, and she wished to return to Fuyun Hall. Jiuchen, preoccupied, quickly asked if she had seen Lingxi.

Upon receiving a negative answer, he immediately rushed towards the South Gate of Heaven, with a bewildered Shisan hurrying after him. From the South Gate guards, Jiuchen learned that Qinyuan was the only outsider to have entered Heavenly Palace that day. He instantly realized Qinyuan had abducted Lingxi and headed straight for Dark Capital Mountain, followed by Shisan.

At Dark Capital Mountain, Jiuchen ordered Shisan to guard the mountain pass, forbidding anyone from entering, as he proceeded alone towards the Demon Lord's sealed area. There, within a black lotus, Jiuchen was shocked to see the face of his former subordinate, Yuanzheng. Shortly after Jiuchen's departure, Yuli arrived at Fuyun Hall with some medicinal dishes.

Finding the hall empty, she searched around and accidentally discovered an item she had given to Jiuchen, the Nine Dragon Divine Fire Cover, lying in Lingxi's room. She noticed a faint black aura swirling within it and, assuming it was damaged, attempted to repair it with her magic. Moments later, the black aura intensified, and Yuli realized with alarm that it was demonic energy. She quickly collected the item, intending to take it back to Yaowang Cave.

However, on her way, she encountered Yuan Tong, who, noticing Yuli's panicked expression, immediately stopped her. Yuli, flustered, tried to evade her but accidentally dropped the item. Yuan Tong instantly recognized the demonic aura emanating from it. Yuli frantically explained that she had found it in Lingxi's room. Yuan Tong's eyes gleamed as a malicious plan formed in her mind.
