> Listening Snow Tower Recap

Xiao Yiqing stood alone in Snow Tower, reflecting on his father's words that the tower was a place of joy and sorrow, gatherings and farewells, where loneliness resurfaced. He wondered if he could protect Snow Tower in its current turbulent state. Outside, Huang Quan bravely fought Gao Mengfei. Chi Xiaotai, who had betrayed the Snow Tower, took Zi Mo hostage, threatening Huang Quan to make him retreat.

However, Gao Mengfei told Chi Xiaotai to release Zi Mo, declaring that such an act made him look incapable. He then declared his intention to break through the gate with his own skills and make the people of Snow Tower accept their defeat. Zi Mo urged Huang Quan to prioritize his duty and have a clear conscience, telling him not to care about her.

Chi Xiaotai, however, retorted, saying that as Four Tower Guardians, they should not be afraid to die for Snow Tower, and threatened Huang Quan to either surrender or sacrifice Zi Mo's life. Chi Xiaotai then revealed her resentment, saying that even without Shu Jingrong, she would never have a place in Xiao Yiqing's heart, and that he only protected her out of obligation to her father.

She questioned why she should remain in Snow Tower when her feelings were never reciprocated. As Huang Quan began to lose strength, Bi Luo and Hong Chen arrived, joining Huang Quan and Zi Mo to defend the entrance. Gao Mengfei, seeing all four guardians, declared he would fight them all, resolved to take the throne with dignity. The guardians vehemently vowed to die protecting the tower, stating Gao Mengfei would have to kill them first to enter.

Nan Chu arrived, reporting that he had successfully dealt with Moon Sect forces who had attacked during the chaos, and noted that Gao Mengfei and Chi Xiaotai had joined forces, and the Four Tower Guardians were no match for them. He urged Xiao Yiqing to quickly find a solution, fearing great misery for Snow Tower if Gao Mengfei and Chi Xiaotai were not stopped.

Xiao Yiqing understood that Gao Mengfei was coming for him, intending to take the throne, and realized that only by confronting him personally could he quell the rebellion. Soon, Gao Mengfei stormed into the hall, pointing his sword at Xiao Yiqing. He bitterly stated that their struggle would end today, decided by their swords, and complained that despite all his efforts over the years, the people of Snow Tower only acknowledged Xiao Yiqing, leaving him no room to shine.

The Four Tower Guardians stood united before Xiao Yiqing, ready to protect him at all costs. Xiao Yiqing, however, saw through Gao Mengfei's true intentions, realizing he was using the rebellion to prove himself to Chi Xiaotai, albeit through misguided actions. He declared that he did not wish for anyone else in Snow Tower to be harmed. He then ordered Huang Quan, Zi Mo, Hong Chen, and Bi Luo to retreat from the hall, entrusting Nan Chu with their safety.

Though the four guardians were reluctant to leave, Nan Chu complied and led them away. Left in the hall, Chi Xiaotai wore a cold smile, reflecting on her long-held desire to be Xiao Yiqing's most important person, and her growing indignation that he only loved Shu Jingrong, which she could no longer endure. Xiao Yiqing stated he would deal with Gao Mengfei alone, as this battle was inevitable if Gao Mengfei refused to repent.

Xiao Yiqing and Gao Mengfei then engaged in a fierce duel, both sustaining injuries. At a critical moment, Gao Mengfei hurled his knife at Xiao Yiqing. Just as it was about to strike, Shu Jingrong arrived, deflecting the blade and saving Xiao Yiqing. She pleaded with Gao Mengfei to stop, but he remained defiant, telling her that if she wished to save Xiao Yiqing, she would have to kill him first.

Left with no other choice, Shu Jingrong fought her senior brother, and in their struggle, she fatally stabbed him in the chest. Gao Mengfei collapsed into Chi Xiaotai's arms, coughing blood. In his final moments, he asked Chi Xiaotai if she would remember him forever and asked her to live well on his behalf. Chi Xiaotai, grief-stricken, finally realized that the one she truly loved had always been Gao Mengfei.

Her stubborn obsession with Xiao Yiqing had blinded her, causing her to betray Gao Mengfei's deep affection and lead him to his unfortunate death. As Gao Mengfei died in her embrace, she wept inconsolably. Xiao Yiqing gently pulled Shu Jingrong away, preventing her from looking at Gao Mengfei's body, comforting her in her anguish over killing her martial brother. Meanwhile, Shu Jingrong escorted the injured Xiao Yiqing back to his room for treatment.

Elsewhere, Shi Mingyan, confined after her failed assassination attempt, learned of Gao Mengfei's defeat. Driven by a desire for revenge against Xiao Yiqing, whom she blamed for the deaths of Ye Fengsha, Ren Feiyang, and others, she smashed her own legs with a flowerpot, planning to cause destruction to both Moon Sect and Snow Tower. She then crawled to Xiao Yiqing's room, claiming he was responsible for her injuries.

Shu Jingrong immediately called for Doctor Mo, who, along with Lady Xue, examined Shi Mingyan. They revealed that Shi Mingyan's knees were crushed, and she had missed the optimal treatment time. With her leg tissues already in a necrotic state, there was a high risk she could become permanently handicapped. In the aftermath of the battle, a heavily injured Bi Luo was being cared for by Hong Chen, who expressed deep concern.

Bi Luo, however, stated that the battle had brought him a newfound sense of purpose and a desire to protect someone, implying Hong Chen. He expressed that living in the moment was the only way to avoid regrets. Hong Chen was deeply moved by his words. Nan Chu later reported to Xiao Yiqing that all captured Moon Sect disciples had committed suicide, and Gao Mengfei's allies had fled during the chaos.

He also informed Xiao Yiqing that he had executed all traitors of Chuihua House and would rebuild it with new candidates. Xiao Yiqing ordered that Gao Mengfei be given an honorable funeral and buried in Sand Valley, allowing him to return to his birthplace. He also instructed Nan Chu to inform Shu Jingrong and allow her to attend the funeral if she wished, believing she would want to bid farewell to her senior.

Furthermore, Xiao Yiqing decreed that Chi Xiaotai, who was already sentenced to lifetime imprisonment in Snow Tower to repent for her betrayal, should also be permitted to attend Gao Mengfei's funeral. Nan Chu acknowledged these decisions, noting that they would bring some relief to Shu Jingrong and were the best possible outcome for Chi Xiaotai under the circumstances. Alone, Chi Xiaotai cradled the Guose Sword, reflecting on Gao Mengfei.

She remembered his past care and his unwavering feelings, regretting her past stubbornness that had caused her to misjudge his devotion and betray his love. She thought about the "Sea Flower," a rare treasure that bloomed with blood, realizing Gao Mengfei had given his heart to her, a gesture he had expressed to her before.
