The He family's deceit, substituting a daughter for a son, led Emperor Chengping to strip them of their noble title and exile He Yuansheng to the desolate border. Though He Yan was also guilty of deceiving the Emperor, her loyalty and contributions to Wei as General Feihong, coupled with the fervent pleas from Xiao Jue and Chu Zhao, softened the Emperor's stance. Mr. Yang also advocated for rehabilitating the Xiao family to stabilize military morale.

The Emperor consented, immediately issuing edicts to clear the names of the Xiao family and the Xiao family army. He Yan was reinstated as General Feihong, resuming command of the Fuyue Army, while Chu Zhao was promoted to Vice Minister of the Central Secretariat. Both the He and Prime Minister Xu's mansions were sealed. Xu Pingting, still haughty, almost suffered abuse from soldiers until Chu Zhao intervened, calmed her, and brought her to the Chu Mansion.

Having known Xu Pingting for a long time, Chu Zhao understood her ignorance of Xu Jingfu's crimes. He had previously petitioned the Emperor for leniency towards her, believing that keeping her close could persuade Xu Jingfu during the Three Judicial Bureaus trial, preventing further political unrest. He Yan's victory came at the cost of Mrs. He, who named He Yan hoping for a life of peace and joy.

Mrs. He had always wished to cherish He Yan but was constrained by He Yuansheng for years. Xiao Jue comforted a grieving He Yan. Jiang Jiao and Wang Ba, recruited by Xiao Jue into the Jiuqi Camp in Rundu, followed him to Yaojing for the vindication. Surprised yet accepting He Yan as General Feihong, Jiang Jiao offered the Jiuqi Camp's assistance if the Fuyue Army needed men. The Emperor's decree cleared the Xiao family and the Xiao family army.

Xiao Zhongwu was posthumously honored as General Zhongwu and buried with high rites. Xiao Jue was appointed commander of the Xiao family army, tasked with restoring its prestige. Mr. Yang, after announcing the decree, bowed in apology to Xiao Jue, admitting his past misjudgment that made him a tool for Xu Jingfu. Xiao Jing and Xiao Jue knelt before their parents' ancestral hall. Xiao Jue then brought He Yan to his parents' spirits, declaring her his beloved.

The crimes of He Rufei and Xu Jingfu were publicly posted, inciting widespread public outrage. Before their execution, Xiao Jue and He Yan visited He Rufei at Dali Temple. He Rufei remained defiant, claiming He Yan stole his life and that he was General Feihong, unaware that He Yan earned her title through battles. As they exited Dali Temple, He Yan was in high spirits, and Xiao Jue held her hand, a sight witnessed by Chu Zhao.

Their clasped hands remained unbroken even after seeing Chu Zhao. Chu Zhao was there to see Xu Jingfu. Xu Jingfu accused him of ingratitude, but Chu Zhao affirmed his commitment to the nation's welfare. Xu Jingfu's only request was for Chu Zhao to treat Xu Pingting kindly, to which Chu Zhao candidly admitted he never harbored feelings for Xu Pingting. Enraged, Xu Jingfu lunged at Chu Zhao but missed, hitting his head on the door frame and bleeding.

Upon learning Chu Zhao denounced Xu Jingfu in court, Xu Pingting tearfully confronted him. Chu Zhao admitted it, leaving Xu Pingting devastated. Seeing He Yan's portrait, she understood that Chu Zhao had never loved her. Before a court assembly, Master Wei praised Chu Zhao's potential as a chancellor, then subtly mocked He Yan behind her back for transforming from a Yezhou Garrison foot soldier to a general. Another official chimed in about her bright future with General Fengyun's assistance.

Chu Zhao defended He Yan, asserting she was always a general, merely a "pearl covered in dust," needing no one's help. After the assembly, Chu Zhao approached He Yan for a chat. He Yan smiled and promised to treat him to a meal sometime. Xiao Jue immediately interjected, making it clear he had no intention of letting He Yan dine alone with Chu Zhao. Meanwhile, to secure Maningbu's release, the Wutuo King agreed to concessions. Emperor Chengping consented to establishing joint trade markets, with Wei retaining seventy percent of the profits and Wutuo taking thirty percent, opening a new chapter of trade.
