To ease the awkwardness, Lin Nan claimed he couldn't remember anything that happened. Liang Yiyi proceeded to try out several anime characters, believing she could convincingly play three different roles herself. While her performance was good, Lin Nan felt some characters lacked the excellence Yu Luxi brought.
He gently explained that the Fengling training class was established to offer opportunities to more newcomers. Liang Yiyi tried to press her case, but Lin Nan deftly sidestepped her request, promising to consider it. As she left, Liang Yiyi fantasized about becoming Lin Nan's partner in both business and love, confident in her future success. Returning home, Liang Yiyi found her brother Liang Yichuan enjoying a drink, his mood similarly upbeat.
He shared details of his recent romantic encounter, confessing he had finally reunited with his long-sought female fan. Liang Yiyi, who already knew the fan was Yu Luxi, teasingly wished him well, though she also implied he had been dishonest in the past. Liang Yichuan insisted it was all a misunderstanding. She suggested a name for their "sect": the Pumpkin Sect, a playful nod to "Lin Nan" and the pumpkin design on the hoodie. Lin Nan found the name a bit silly and worried about their relationship being exposed at the company if they wore them. Yu Luxi, however, suggested they wear them in secret. Inside, Yu Luxi was captivated by "Animal Kingdom" manuscripts and various old tapes, clearly more interested in Lin Nan's past than Liang Yichuan's accompanying commentary. She mentioned that her childhood online mentor, Mai Da, was the closest she had ever gotten to professional voice acting before her QQ account was hacked, causing her to lose all her forum links and cry for days. Lin Nan, who had been lingering outside, was spotted by Liang Yiyi as he hesitated about entering. He added that he had tried to explain the truth later, but her account was stolen. Feeling tricked and upset, Yu Luxi stormed out. Liang Yichuan quickly followed, presenting old QQ screenshots as proof of his attempted explanations. Understanding the full story, Yu Luxi apologized for her initial anger. Liang Yichuan offered his continued support, telling her to reach out if she ever encountered difficulties. Yu Luxi then left Youlong.
Lin Nan, still wearing Liang Yiyi's "couple's outfit," confronted Liang Yichuan, asserting his position as Yu Luxi's "current" teacher, leading to a heated exchange where Lin Nan called him shameless. Liang Yiyi rejoined them, questioning Lin Nan's sudden departure, but he feigned a work call to avoid her. She then asked Liang Yichuan if Lin Nan might be romantically interested in Yu Luxi, and he conceded that it was a real possibility.
Back at the recording studio, the pre-dubbing results from the Fengling training class trainees were subpar. Zhou Na suggested outsourcing the project, but Lin Nan pleaded for more time for the students. He gathered the trainees, who were initially lighthearted, expecting praise or a meal. Angered by their attitude, Lin Nan threatened to replace all of them. The trainees stormed out.
Yu Luxi tried to intercede, but Lin Nan cut her off, stating that if she wanted to defend them, she could leave as well. Meanwhile, at Youlong, two delivery people arrived, each bringing strange takeout dishes for Liang Yichuan: "Beef with celery" and "Soft beancurd." Attached to the orders were cryptic messages: "Speaking frankly" and "Casting pearls before a swine." Liang Yichuan realized these were from an "old friend" – undoubtedly Lin Nan – sending coded messages.
