Her Fantastic Adventures Episode 30 Recap
> Her Fantastic Adventures Recap
Gu Xingwu expressed his deep concern for Gu Qingqiao's difficult situation, telling her he did not blame her for hiding the truth but felt heartbroken for her limited time. He confessed he lacked the ability to protect her from danger, and he was thankful to her for letting him see her healthy and happy, and hear her say goodbye. Ruoyun, confined by Magistrate Du, felt resentful. She secretly exchanged clothes with a maid and sneaked out.
Hiding in her father's study, she overheard Magistrate Du discussing matters with the Sacred Blood Sect leader. The leader, injured, required blood from condemned prisoners for healing and demanded more prisoners for a faster recovery. He also instructed Magistrate Du to kill Duan Yan to obtain the remaining two treasure maps.
Magistrate Du expressed difficulty in targeting the cunning and vigilant Duan Yan, so the leader told him only to lure Duan Yan to the residence, promising to handle the rest. Shaoyi visited the Du residence to see Ruoyun. Ruoyun learned that Magistrate Du had invited Duan Yan under the pretense of discussing the broken engagement between Ruoyun and Duan Yu. Ruoyun asked Shaoyi to distract the guards outside while she went to confront Duan Yan.
Magistrate Du pressed Duan Yan about the treasure maps, and Duan Yan insisted the maps were safe, always carried with him. Ruoyun then burst in, causing a scene and demanding Duan Yan leave, saying she did not want to see anyone from the Duan family. Following the disruption, Magistrate Du had Ruoyun confined to her room again. Magistrate Du reported to the Sacred Blood Sect leader that the treasure maps were on Duan Yan and killing him would secure them.
The leader reminded Magistrate Du that the Star of Rebellion had limited time and they must gather the Four Treasures and open the gate of time and space before she died, or their long-standing efforts would be wasted. Later, Magistrate Du punished Ruoyun's maid, Yuanhua, for failing to watch Ruoyun. He asked if Ruoyun had acted strangely recently, learning she had sneaked out the previous day.
Yuanhua, prompted by Ruoyun later, revealed that Magistrate Du was formerly a member of the Sacred Blood Sect. She explained that the Sect forbids marriage with outsiders, and Magistrate Du was expelled for marrying Ruoyun's mother, a commoner. Their expulsion coincidentally saved them when the four noble families later besieged the Sacred Blood Sect. Ruoyun, possessing both Sacred Blood Sect lineage and ordinary health, was considered a "miracle."
Yuanhua also told Ruoyun that the Sacred Blood Sect leader had promised Magistrate Du they could live openly and enjoy glory if the Sect was restored, with Ruoyun becoming the Priestess. However, if their plan failed, the leader would die, and so would Ruoyun. Gu Xingwu filed a complaint with the magistrate's office, accusing the Duan family of raiding his home and kidnapping Gu Qingqiao.
Magistrate Du, finding the complaint peculiar given Duan Yan's previous public support for Gu Qingqiao, decided to investigate in person at the Duan residence. Duan Yan told Magistrate Du that Duan Yu had gone to Xiling and that since Duan Yu was determined to marry Gu Qingqiao and the Duan family was the last remaining noble family, he had decided to kill Gu Qingqiao. Magistrate Du objected, asking to see her first, expressing concern about potential deaths in his jurisdiction.
Magistrate Du was shown to where Gu Qingqiao was being held by Wuyi Guards and severely tortured. Gu Qingqiao defiantly called Duan Yan a hypocrite and warned that Duan Yu would not spare him, while Duan Yan questioned if Duan Yu would truly turn against him for her sake. Duan Yan revealed that the treasure map Gu Qingqiao had given him earlier was fake, which was why he hadn't killed her immediately, hoping she was still useful.
He suggested killing her if necessary, stating the Four Treasures were useless to the Duan family anyway. Magistrate Du asked if he wasn't curious about the location of the Heavenly Pearl, explaining it required all four maps pieced together. Duan Yan admitted he had seen the pieced map but couldn't decipher it. Magistrate Du offered his expertise in painting to help interpret it, but Duan Yan was called away on urgent business, and Magistrate Du left.
Shaoyi, encountering Magistrate Du, feigned casual conversation and inquired about Ruoyun. He then claimed that Duan Yan's assertion about carrying the treasure map was false and that he actually knew where it was hidden after seeing it – specifically, on the multi-treasure shelf in Duan Yan's study. Seizing the opportunity, Magistrate Du pretended to have lost his official seal and insisted on searching for it in the residence, entering Duan Yan's study.
As he was about to leave, Wuyi Guards entered, claiming to have found his seal. Two other Wuyi Guards then staged a practice fight, appearing to accidentally hit Magistrate Du and using the contact as an opportunity to check his neck, confirming he wasn't wearing a necklace. This confirmed the suspicion of Duan Yan and his men, who had become wary of Magistrate Du after Ruoyun's disruption and his persistent questions about the map.
They observed his actions, including a momentary red glint in his eyes reported by a subordinate, and recalled the Sacred Blood Sect leader mentioning using the Soul-stealing Nail on the Black Wood Human-shaped Sword and Magistrate Du's own inquiry about the sword's whereabouts in prison. Concluding that Magistrate Du was likely connected to the Sacred Blood Sect and capable of using blood techniques, they decided he was an enemy.
Duan Yan ordered his subordinate Tu Jia to prepare a heavily trapped dungeon and lure Magistrate Du there the next day under the pretense of killing Gu Qingqiao. Meanwhile, Gu Qingqiao, in confinement, received a visit from Duan Yu, who was worried about her. He apologized for his previous actions and offered any compensation she desired.
Gu Qingqiao, making light of her situation despite the torture, told him she wanted many things, but most importantly, the safety and happiness of everyone around her, including him, her father Gu Xingwu, Dongxi, Da, and the entire Duan family. Duan Yan instructed his subordinate to go to the Du residence to tell Magistrate Du that he planned to kill Gu Qingqiao the next day and that he should try to intervene.
He also ordered the redemption of Qingfeng Restaurant to return it to Mr. Gu. A Priest arrived at the Duan residence, introducing himself as a representative of the Divine Palace sent to collect the Order of the Noble Families following the demise of three of the four noble families. He thanked Duan Yan for his previous guidance from the Divine Palace regarding the Sacred Blood Sect.
The Priest then stated he had a personal request: to visit a friend, Gu Qingqiao, whom he knew was in trouble in the residence. Duan Yan was hesitant but allowed the visit after the Priest asserted the trust placed in the Divine Palace. The Priest, revealed to be Lu Zizheng, met with Gu Qingqiao in the dungeon. Gu Qingqiao, surprised by his appearance, wondered if he was there to rescue her but also felt his timing was inconvenient.
Lu Zizheng confirmed Duan Yan intended to kill her to eliminate future problems, based on what Duan Yan had told him. He offered to take her to the Divine Palace, where she would be safe from Duan Yan. Gu Qingqiao expressed concern about involving him but eventually agreed to cooperate when the time was right.
As Lu Zizheng prepared to leave, he accidentally cut his hand, and Ruoyun, who was nearby, reacted intensely to the sight of the blood, distressed and ordering her maid away. Simultaneously, Magistrate Du was warned by a subordinate that the Duan family seemed to suspect his identity, particularly after his strange visit to the Duan residence. Magistrate Du remained unfazed, stating there was no longer any need to hide. He declared his intention to enter the Duan residence the next day as a Priest to retrieve Gu Qingqiao.
